The scene opens up in of all places Jacksonville, Florida. Which Vincent Pennington’s stomping ground and actually unknown to all, a place where Mannie occasionally resides on vacation. Mannie is not actually down in the city as its known that Hurricane Isaac has been going on, and has down damage to the entire state of Florida. Mannie is however hovering around in a helicopter. Staring below as he looks at the damage, as he can view some people swimming in the flood. Mannie shakes his head as he has a camera on stand-by. Mannie tries to get back into a zone of character but it’s not working as the camera begins to roll on.
Mannie: Hello AP... Rubbing his face You know what I can’t right now...I seriously can’t right now. I’m not into the mood to gloat or rant on about how good I am...I’m feeling too damn serious because of shit like this!
Mannie points at the city below
Mannie:Now look I tell you...Look damn it!
Mannie: This is reality and what I’m going through is reality...I have family and friends living here...
Mannie starts put the focus back on to him
Mannie: Now maybe you’re asking yourselves why it should matter to me? Well I'll let you know why, Because this could anyone of us or anyone we know down here as well, And see people just like them where all being idle and just floating around waiting for help. Waiting for someone to save us, and I’m not talking about being religious but all of us search and it’s saddens me to think while we all search around...Who will do for us? The answer is no one you have to do for yourself. The U.S. has been in plenty of crises but most of the time we don’t sit around and wait on others. We aide our own and maybe we’re not perfect...And just like myself I may not be perfect or the best example but I am real. I know I don’t give kids something to look to but I do exalt what America is based on the freedom of expression. Now go ahead and laugh and say Mannie you’re a stoner nothing more nothing less. Well maybe your right but because of America I am allowed to exercise that freedom and be able to be me. Thanks to all the veterans who made it possible, Thanks all of them who have risked their lives so I can be here today and because of them and these people. People like the family rowing in the flood not giving up on them or us. Then why should I give on Meltdown and allowing itself to run into the ground thanks to Michael Lively. Mike you know as well I do...You don’t want nothing positive to happen to this brand or the company, if doesn’t involve your benefit; I used to think the same way until a recent change of heart. Now I’m not a patriot or anything but I am a proud stoner who is ready to knock your head as soon I get a title shot. But that’s another place and another time. My current business and all these points right now are about you Vincent Pennington...I want to know what you are doing for your state, Hell even the city of Jacksonville. I tell you what you’re doing your staying someone comfy...You enjoying the good life while these people, These real people suffer. Well I won’t allow you to have fun at others expense. See first what I’m going to do is go down today and giveback some checks to some families and then I’m actually help and get people to safety with my helicopter. You can talk you want about debuting but I’m making a genuine impact today. But I’ll save the trash talk for later on Vincent. I’ll keep my real feelings about you until I get the proper chance until then, There are people; real people who need some help...But I guess you wouldn’t know anything about that would you? Poser! Hmm Poser a word you love to use...Something you know alot about! As a matter of fact your one yourself, Aren't you Vincent? I said too myself I would wait but You know what this can't wait...Vincent your a fake, everything about is fake from the tan to the personality. You try to come off with as many clitches about Florida wrestlers as possible and then you want to be taken seriously...Screw you as a matter of fact, I will be doing the great state of Florida a good service by disposing of you. The sooner I get you of APW is the better. Meltdown bring it all or bring nothing...Now if you would excuse me I have will work to do as too oppose of me running my mouth at a Poser like you!
The scene fades as Mannie he tells the pilot to go down below, and the copter circles to find a suitable spot to land.
The scene opens back in D.C. on a rainy day as Young Mannie is on the Lincoln Memorial, He’s wearing a poncho, some jeans, and concords Nikes. A place he has visited many times...But his recent visit is different as Mannie has decided to use the area to face a few demons in his life. Mannie has been plagued since coming back with living up to the hype he’s once had and while Mannie has gotten close, He seems to keep failing. Mannie has been positive so far, but it seems that the pressure is starting to get too him. It was even shown as Mannie had attacked Stefan Raab at one of the last Meltdown shows with a Singapore cane. He knocked the man unconscious while he was getting out the car. Now while Mannie was taking his frustrations out on Raab, he should’ve been reapplying himself and getting better. Soon Mannie realized that and he taken a different outlook on his career at this point and he’s ready to bare it all...As a camera set-up is ready to shoot.
Mannie: Are you prepared?...Are you capable?...Are you armed and ready?...See these questions are simple but deep enough for you too follow. Now the question you might ask yourself, Is follow what? And maybe you’re thinking here goes Mannie ranting again about being given a second and about what he will do...And you’re absolutely, wrong! This is different while having time away from the ring, after Shockwave I feel as though it’s time to really get myself into the next gear...See I had everyone’s attention when I came back, So now what? Those three questions I asked where not for you...They were me asking myself about my career...I checked myself in the mirror at the hotel, after I came back from Shockwave in L.A. I had what I would like to call a “Moment Of Clarity” and it was fantastic. I saw more in myself than I more than a stoner with a background in wrestling. I saw Hosea Bolden...I saw the young man who dedicated his life to pro wrestling to get off the streets, And we all know the journey of becoming a Megastar is not easy. You have to pay dues and earn and I did, I was able to work myself up from to the bigger promotions and now look at me. I’m in the top promotion in the world and what does that say about me? Am I a joke? No I’m legit and everyone who doesn’t agree is lying to themselves. I am the “Best Pure Athlete Pound For Pound in APW” and maybe I’m kidding myself or maybe I’m seeing the truth before everyone else can and that’s why I will have gold around my waist sooner than you think. I will make a bigger impact than anyone thought I could as a singles wrestler in APW. I will go further than I can imagine and the only question I have for all of you is...
Mannie steps the side as he point to the Pool behind him
Mannie: Will you ride with me?
Mannie removes his poncho and his jeans, As he turns to the pool and readies himself to jump in. Mannie has a look in eyes, as if he’s never been sure of anything else ever in his life. Mannie shakes his head as he rethinks the idea and starts to pick up his jeans until he tosses back down and jumps back in SPLASH! Is the sound that’s heard from Mannie cannon-balling into the Monument pool, Mannie begins to swim too other edge as he is quickly caught be security guard, He pulls him out but Mannie is crafty and he belly to bellys the guard into the pool and makes a run for it. Mannie is able to get his clothes & camera while he runs too his car which parked down the street. People stare as he gets to the drivers side and locks the door as he places the camera on the dashboard. Mannie begins talking as he wipes some of the rain from his face.
Mannie: See now the question more importantly for Vincent Pennington, Michael Lively, and Meltdown are...Are you sane enough to deal with this “Crazy Asshole Stoner” known as “Mr.420”?
Mannie begins to start the car as he can see the guard coming down the street
Mannie: Well like most of the great questions...I’ll leave that up for discussion
Mannie laughs as he burns rubber while getting the hell out of dodge...Scene fades.
