its being reported by several people including good ol' J.R that Jerry Lawler does NOT have any brain damage... which was apparently a concern.

I agree w/ Kash here. Edge was a run-of-the-mill performer in the ring that was far better in a tag team than he ever was as a singles performer. He was in the right place at the right time and got a push towards the top and he ran with it.

Edge is one of my all time favourites, that is all.
Good to hear Jerry is doing better and doesn't have brain damage. This would be some fucked up cruel world if he couldn't talk again.

The thing about all those TLC matches and Ladder matches he was involved in? There was someone taking bigger spots, Hardy flying off a ladder or hanging from the belt just waiting to be speared. And No, Goldberg didn't hurt people with his Spear. His side kick hurt a few people (Bret Hart included) and his Jackhammer hurt Big Show. His spear was devastating as is Rhino's spear but I despise Rhino. Waste of talent in a low life man who beat his wife.
Edge wasn't a horrible wrestler, he just was never the best one on the roster and was often given that role. He earned his place, put in the work to get to where he got but he wasn't as good as people give him credit for. As for his Hall Of Fame induction? WWE Inducts members not based on anything but a selling point. The Four Horsemen were NEVER in WWE and Vince hand picked what form of the group got inducted. Macho Man STILL isn't in the HoF, Bruno Sammartino isn't in the HoF. It's a joke. Is The Rock even in the HoF yet? I know he's been there to induct someone. Edge didn't need it the year he retired, regardless of his reasons. Old school wrestlers called him a bitch for retiring because of a Doctor saying so anyways. Ric Flair crashed in a plane and went on to wrestle for 20+ years later. Edge needed some time away before being inducted. His fans will argue that but it's the truth at least to me.

Ah....just because you have a heart attack doesn't mean you can't talk. Was listening to yesterday livecast from PWTorch at work and they had a cardiologist on and he said given the right meds and enough attention and a healthy diet, Lawler could even return to being a wrestler if he wanted.
I don't think WWE will let him wrestle, but everyone just writing him off from doing commentary are acting like he died or lost his voice. He'll probably be back around the end of Novemember/Early December if he recovers properly.
In the mean time, I could see Regal stepping in which would be AWESOME. Regal is the only guy on the roster that actually puts over the talent a la JR.
And Edge was great because he was teh perfect foil for the poster boy, John Cena.

As long as we're talking about Flair I find him to be a pathetic bitter old man every-time I see him talk. Non-stop whining about every single other person who's ever had any success. "Old School Wrestlers" huh? Thats one of the dumbest things i've heard in a while... Being legally forced to retire... yeah, what a bitch.

Um... I never said that?
I was referring to the comment that Jerry Lawler might have had suffered brain damage. If he did, there's a strong chance he'd lose his ability to speak.

Yeah when I talked about him being replaced or not returning, being that it was probably very scary to him and WWE. I can see them or even himself just not wanting to jump back into it. That was still a discussion when I thought he might have some brain damage.
Edge was good for Cena but that was dark times for WWE to me. Two top guys, neither all that great. Kind of bland at times but then again, today is kind of bland as well.
I also don't hate on Flair. Not because he isn't a crybaby because there are plenty of those type of people in Pro Wrestling. Bret Hart still brings up old shit that suppose to be dead discussion. Folks cry when they feel something bad has happened to them, same as folks outside of wrestling. The fact that Vince hand picked which Horsemen to induct when the Horsemen were not ever part of WWE is RE-DUNK-U-LUS! JJ Dillion, dope. Double A, gotta have it. Flair, Duh. I like Barry Windum but he wasn't the original, he wasn't the biggest drawing form of the Horsemen. Just rubbed me the wrong way like Edge being inducted. WWE HoF is bogus. Jerry Jarrett won't even be inducted, Paul Heyman won't be inducted in the end. Most importantly and this isn't a shot at WWE because too many try to erase the name but Chris Benoit will never be inducted. How about Dean Malenko? Is Brian Pillman inducted? I know Owen's wife won't let him be inducted so there is his name as well. It's a lost cause without the names that deserve being there.

Let me be clear I don't think ANYONE is arguing that the WWE hall of fame is some sort of "honor". I mean, drew carrey is in there. In order for me to truly respect it, it would have to start including a lot of people that have been ignored because of "personal" reasons. It would also have to include a lot of people like Bam Bam Bigelow, Pillman, and everyone else who has died and deserves it far more than the often random entry's they have. But then again, its not really a wrestling hall of fame, its just a bunch of people Vince Mcmahon decided he likes.
