Inside the personalized locker room of Ryan Collins stood the young man pumping his first into the air while shouting at the top of his lungs in what he considered a celebration.
“I did it! I did it! I beat the North American Champion!”
“Sir, with all due respect you realize you weren’t the…”
“I BEAT THE NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPION!”
Collins continued to pump his arms into the air in celebration. Alfred just stood there looking at him slightly shaking his hand. Soon enough the older gentlemen switched up topics.
“Okay then sir. I need to inform you though I was approached by Johnny Diamond while you were out in the ring and he informed me of who you’re going to be up against next week.”
“So? You act like I am meant to be frightened or worried about who I am up against. I just took on the best this brand has to offer and I walked away with the victory. Who on earth could Diamond have put me up against next week?”
“I do believe his name was Tek.”
“Excuse you?”
“Yes sir, you are going to be scheduled to compete against Tek next week on Meltdown.”
For a second Collins stood there not saying a word. There was just this blank look on his face before he suddenly broke out into a fit of laughter.
“Tek? Really? That is who I am against? That is who is meant to be a challenge to me? Ha!”
“I do not understand what is so funny sir. Care to share with me?”
“How can you not see how its funny? Tek is by far the biggest joke on this Meltdown Roster. There isn’t anything about him that screams that he is a threat. There is nothing about him that tells me he is meant to be someone I am supposed to take seriously. If I am not mistaken I am rather positive that Tek has lost almost every match he has been in since becoming a member of the roster.”
“I am not quite sure sir. I do not have the statics to that and I didn’t even know there was anyone on the roster that went by now. None the less though, I am not going to offer any advice with the situation. I learned my place last time. I just hope you are well aware of what you are doing sir. You’re undefeated right now. It’d be a shame if that came to an end next week.”
“I am well aware of what I am doing. You just said it yourself you weren’t even aware Tek was on the roster. That alone says a lot. It tells me the dude aint done shit. It tells me that he is worthless. It tells me that it is going to be a walk in the park when I step into the ring with him. My undefeated streak will continue. I promise that much.”
Collins had this arrogant little smirk featured as he walked on past his personal help headed for the showers after a successful night.
