It was just days before APW Mega Star and Asylum Sensation: Johnny Sykes was set to be competing in the first ever Caged Ladder Match for the APW Suicidal Championship. Normally Sykes would be excited for such an opportunity but as of a few weeks ago Sykes really hadn’t been himself. He stood in the bed room of his apartment packing his things when he heard a small knock.

RHIANNON;; Johnny…

JOHNNY SYKES;; Yeah?

Sykes turned around to see Rhiannon whom happened to be a young lady he had become romantically linked with over the month. There was some brief eye contact with each other before Sykes turned back around turning his attention to his bags. Rhiannon allowed herself in his room and walked around the other side to face him.

RHIANNON;; Are you okay? You haven’t really been yourself as of late. Is it the match?

JOHNNY SYKES;; I’m fine and why would it be the match? It isn’t like it’ll end up meaning anything.

RHIANNON;; What do you mean it won’t mean anything?

JOHNNY SYKES;; Just what I said Rhi. It won’t mean anything. You realize that not a single person in APW respects me? Do you realize that not a single person in APW sees me as anything other than the little bitch boy they can smack around? Do you realize despite me being the ‘good guy’ everyone and their friggin mother is betting on Kash to win? It’s basically a worthless match. I might as well just show up and just let Kash defeat me at this rate.

Clearly this wasn’t the usual Sykes that Rhiannon was used to dealing with. In fact this wasn’t the normal Sykes that anyone was used to dealing with. He grabbed a hold of his wrestling tights before tossing them in the bag . Rhiannon stood there in silence as she wasn’t sure what to say. Finally Sykes was able to speak again himself.

JOHNNY SYKES;; I have given APW everything I have had since the day I stepped foot into the company. I have given a hundred percent in that ring while guys like Michael Callahan ducked and dodged challengers. I have put on the best match of the night while guys like Anthony Bailey got all the credit for a good show just because he was champion. I have done my best to entertain while guys like Knuckles happened to be talked about as if he was the funniest and most entertaining person to ever hit APW. It has been nothing but constant disrespect and I have reach the point where I am over it.

RHIANNON;; I’ll be the first to admit that you have been overlooked several times. This is coming from someone with an outside perspective and has nothing to do with the fact we’re dating. You have been overlooked. You have been disrespected. You have been pushed down the ladder for other guys that aren’t anywhere near as talented or as entertaining as you. It’s unfair but we both know how this business works. We both know that a lot of things happen that are considered unfair. It’s how we handle it that makes us different from everyone else. You need to prove these people wrong. You need to get in that ring and you need to show APW that you are in fact the real deal.

JOHNNY SYKES;; And again this brings us right back to where it doesn’t make a difference. It doesn’t matter if I prove them wrong. It doesn’t matter if I go out there and beat Kash or not to become the new champion. I beat Kash once before. I beat a former world champion and not a single person cared. Not a single person made a big fuss out of it. Most people said it was a fluke and it was just a matter of me getting lucky. People said it would never happen again. Beating him wouldn’t mean anything to anybody. They’d just say I got lucky or that I am going to be nothing more than a paper champion.

The frustration had clearly gotten to the point where it was building up within Sykes. It was like nothing that has ever been seen before when it came to him. After all he was such a laid back chill person but that wasn’t him at this very moment.

RHIANNON;; Then if that’s how you feel what is going to be the plan for Sunday?

JOHNNY SYKES;; I have the same plan I always go to the ring with. Go out there and give it my all. I appreciate myself and I know the fans appreciate the work I do even if those in the back with their cliq like nature don’t. I’ll do what I gotta do. I’ll bleed. I’ll put my body through hell. I’ll do whatever it takes to put on the best match possible. At the end of the night I’ll find a way to climb that ladder and pull down that Suicidal Championship. That right there is a guarantee.

RHIANNON;; Well that’s good at least. You know I am going to be supporting you. I’ll be looking forward to seeing you come home with that Suicidal Championship where it belongs.

JOHNNY SYKES;; Good for me but bad for everyone in APW. Don’t be surprise if I decide to walk out on them as champion and everything. Maybe then they’ll see what they truly had but I doubt it and even then it’ll likely be too late.

Before Rhiannon could say anything else Sykes closed up his suitcase and picked it up off the bed. He turned around and walked right on out of the bedroom leaving Rhiannon to stand there watching him walk away. It was quite different seeing the Original Pranksta with this kind of attitude. It was now just a matter of time in waiting to see what happened on Sunday night.

Right outside the airport Sykes was sitting with his cell phone in hand. He flipped the phone to where it was facing him and then loaded up the video recorder for him. Upon doing so Sykes wasted no time at all beginning to speak his mind and there was obviously a lot that needed to be said due to his facial expressions.

“Jason Kash – You are exactly what is wrong with professional wrestling. You are what is wrong with APW and you are what is wrong with anything and everything involving this business. For whatever reason you are someone that thinks he is the best in the world. You are someone that thinks he is untouchable. You are someone that believes that you are literally the best thing to ever hit this business. Now I’m not sure if you’re fucking high all the time or just that damn stupid but either way you are dead wrong.

You are nowhere near the best in the world. I don’t give two shits what your accomplishments say. I don’t give a damn how many times you have been World Champion. I don’t care how many times you won tag gold with some failure of a tag partner and I really don’t give a fuck that you are the current Suicidal Champion. Because let’s face it and let’s be real shall we? You didn’t accomplish any of that based on how great you are. You accomplished it based on luck and based on you giving toothless blow jobs to the right people in the back.

Sorry I refuse to be a homo and sorry I refuse to rely on luck. I am actually talented and I know I have what it takes to be one of the best damn things that have ever come to APW. Of course you don’t believe that. No one in the back believes it. Hell, the fucking guy that owns this place doesn’t believe it. Yet every night I prove it when I have the match of the night. I prove it by giving it my all. I prove it by providing entertainment. I prove it by putting asses in those seats. I prove it by being one of the most talked about superstars around here according to the people that actually matter and that would be the fans.

But I’m done with trying to please everyone around APW. I am done with people selling me short. I am done with people calling me a joke and I am done with people continuing to be put before me based on a bunch of bullshit. No longer will I sit back and just take it. I’m done playing the nice guy. I’m done trying to the Batman of APW but instead I am going to start being the Joker of APW. Hero gone Villain and truth be told APW is the blame for that. But the person that can take the most blame for it is you Kash. After all you’re one of the golden children around here and you are a big part of why I am becoming what I have become simply because I have no choice.

I will say this much though Kash. You think whatever the hell you want about this match. You believe what you want. You have whomever the hell you want to stroke your ego and you bring all the violence you want to this match. Because you see it isn’t going to make one bit of a difference to me. I’m all for the violence. You can bet all the weed in the world I plan on bashing your face against that cage. You can bet I plan on throwing you off that ladder. You can bet I plan on making you bleed. I’m going to enjoy every last second of putting the golden child down on his ass. Most importantly I am going to enjoy leaving as champion when everyone said I couldn’t do it and I wouldn’t do it.

Finally the name Johnny Sykes will stand out even if it’s for a few minutes. Finally APW is going to have to give me the recognition that I deserve and finally you Kash are going to realize rather you want to or not that I am better than you. I proved it once before and I am going to prove it yet again. One way or another I’ll be the new champion, so you can stick that in your pipe and smoke it!”

On that note Sykes hit the end record button and then pressed save. That’s when he grabbed his bags and started to head inside the airport as his flight would be leaving soon. Sykes clearly made it clear how he felt and once his video was actually on the internet. It was likely a lot of people would be upset by it and it would cause some problems but it seemed none of that mattered anymore to the Pittsburgh Jackass.[/font][/size]
