WE GOT HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED! I so excited! More feedback when I'm in a better spot to give it! YES! THAT IS AWESOME! Will go more in depth later, just wanted to mark out a bit. EDIT: Jeff, you can probably either remove the Gates/Biggs segment or move it up to just before the Gates/Noble match. It's very out of place where it currently is lol

Aside from Jeff’s pre-show teaser, no opening segment. This is highly unusual for Overdrive, but the novelty of going straight into a match is good. Let’s hope that first match sets the standard for the night ;p
I find face v face matches hard to write unless there is some legitimate angle behind the match. I hope the Saint v Dionysus match came out okay. With this streak, I think it’s about time I did a segment promising I will be Undisputed Champion by the end of year and that EVERYONE will respect me because I am THE GREATEST EVER. Something like that works, right?
You just know this Terry Marvin facade is going blow up sooner or later. I’m not even going to try to anticipate it, but enjoy the entertainment when it happens. I liked the scepticism from C.J. in this segment, I think it helps ground the rationale behind these alliances, but reminds the audience that EC is going to be an all out battle with every man for himself.
Haha, nice to see a bit of comedy from Level-One this week. I liked the use of the insult ‘twit’, not something you see very often. The attempt to get Mr. D in the match is a classic heel move. It seems to me that the Level-One heel has softened a bit of late; I’d always expected him to be a monster heel. Just an observation, not a judgement.
Nice to work with Evan this week. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Second match of the night: C.J GATES VERSUS KURT NOBLE! APW ARE GIVING THIS MATCH AWAY FOR FREE! AND IT’S NOT EVEN A MAIN EVENT!
When a match like this is second on the card it shows how stacked Overdrive is right now. Good match, well-written on the whole but I’ve got two observations. The first pertains to the block of narrative before the match. While there is nothing wrong with its content (it’s actually nicely written) in setting the scene and context of this match, I think it should be the commentator’s making that narration. They are, after all, the narrators of a TV show, and in terms of match writing in e-fedding I believe all selling should be done through commentary; just gives the whole thing that feeling you’re watching the show on TV (not reading it on a website). The white text, for me, is for describing action in a realistic, naturalistic way. Second point: there was something as part of the match story that I noticed. At one point Harvey sells that C.J. will never tap, but the finish involves a submission by C.J. which isn’t sold in the post-match. I would have liked some follow up, or better still not have the submission finish and Noble maybe having to find some ‘other means’ to put away C.J., since that retains C.J.’s strength (sells his no quit attitude further) and enhances the change in Noble’s nature. Just a couple of points to consider.
More fun and jingles in The Universe According to Delikado. Once again great interactions between the two characters, and I’m looking forward to seeing how that match works out. Another APW first?
Good segment with Terry and The Sindicate to nicely summarise what has been going on with Marv of late, and putting into sharp focus the question we’re all asking going into ONIH. Can’t wait to find out the answer.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a duel between Deli-Marvin and Envikado. Not sure how that might work though.
Nice segment from Biggs to hype the ME. One question: would an ‘arrogant jerk’ really think of himself as an ‘arrogant jerk’? Surely, ‘the jerk’ would believe his elevated self-opinion justified, therefore rendering him neither ‘arrogant’ nor a ‘jerk’ in his mind. Maybe I overthink things.
I thought the introduction of Sienna Harrison was a nice way to add some ‘balance’ to the six-person tag. I also think the Harris absence was well-enough explained. I suppose he could have been humiliated, but with the way he left he probably didn’t deserve the air time.
Good match, that the heels were handicapped probably didn’t help the traditional dynamic of seeing the ‘babyface in peril’, but the action was good and there some nice touches like Delikado ‘biting’ an opponent again and the finish was excellent. Good work.
Nice work in the ME, both men kicking out of finishers setting the tone for what I’m sure we’ll see lots of at ONIH. An angled finish, but the one I’d expect. You want to go into a huge ME like EC with nobody looking overly strong and no-one looking particularly weak.
POST-MATCH. Nice brawl, nice way to introduce Hart and give him some momentum going into ONIH. Then...
THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
Well, when I saw the opening seg I expected this having seen Goeren comment on Meltdown earlier in the week. No doubt, this is a big coup and everyone Overdrive will need to start running for the hills. Seriously, can this roster get any stronger? Who next – Jack Benevolence? Doug E. Fresh? I may have to do a Michael Harris.... just kidding.
Good show. Didn’t feel like the greatest ‘go home’ show, but the closing moments gave it some additional gravitas and the introduction of Goeren as special ref adds an interesting dynamic to the EC.

Now that I have time...
Feedback!
No opening segment but I don't think it hurt too much. I think, as far as the EC for ONIH goes, we knew where we were ending this weeks show, and with so many people there was a lot of opportunity for in show segments between people, and with the dynamic of the match participants (Hart not coming back till the end, Noble being the 'outcast') it worked this way. That's not to say that no one else could have done an opening segment, but, overall, I think the lack of one didn't hurt.
Keaton vs. Dionysus was a great way to kick off the show, and it also builds off of the history (at least I think they had some) the two had before Dionysus' hiatus. Big win for Saint here but Dionysus is definitely not hurt by not picking up the victory.
I like writing segments and realizing after that there's some sort of nugget to them. As Jules pointed out, there's the skepticism of Gates in there which, when I first wrote it, I didn't exactly pick up on, I just went with the flow. In any case, I think it worked well.
The thought of Mr. Dangerous in the chamber made me laugh, and then, I thought about how that could be awesome at some point in time. Nevertheless, good segment from Level One to do more EC building going toward the end of the show and ONIH.
Interesting interaction between Envi and Dionysus, and I'm curious where it goes from here. Some nice build for a future feud? Tag team? Either way, it can't go wrong.
In regards to the Gates vs. Noble match...I can see where you're coming from Jules. They mention Gates not the type to tap/give up, and then end with him being knocked out and unable to tap and the match gets called. I don't have an issue with that, as much as I have an issue with how it ended. It's not a BIG issue and not really something that can be helped, but looking at the people going into the chamber, Biggs and Marvin drew after L1 got involved, Hart returned triumphantly, and Noble won after knocking Gates out...I dunno, maybe it's just me but had Noble won with a pinfall and not had Gates knocked out, it would have been a non-issue. Maybe it's small potatoes that I'm seeing here. Especially when Gates has used the Gatecrashed many times before and missed and not been knocked out...but then again it was probably more to sell Noble than Gates. (rant over lol)
More fun between Delikado and Mania and really, you can't go wrong with these two characters. I've said it before and I'll say it again, amongst all the wife/woman beating, we get a nice bit of comedy that really allows people to step away from the heavier feuds into a great one built with a lot of comedy.
A Terry Marvin segment with the Sindicate which does a great job at showing a possible deeper rift between he and L1, which adds another layer to the EC. I almost (and I know it's bad) forgot that the Sindicate were still around, if only because they haven't been as featured as they have in the past.
A nice build of Envikado to show that they are going to be working together in this match. Nothing really over the top, but just two great writers, two champions doing a great job at selling a six man tag match that most would overlook on a card with some of these matches.
Biggs hypes the main event and the EC well, and definitely gets his name in there as someone that could really walk away with the win.
Very well written six man tag. The back and forth conversation during the final moments was interesting, but it goes to show that Envi really does get under peoples skin lol. And then we get more women being brought into wrestlers business and, hopefully post ONIH, it kind of fades away. In any case, congrats to Envikado on a champion caliber victory.
Main Event. Well written and had an ending that helped both men continue to look strong going into the chamber.
Loved the aftermath with everyone getting a shot in and then Hart returning. Biggs and Gates backing off of Noble was classic since they (at least Gates) wouldn't want to get their hands dirty too much and then hart clearing house sells him in his return. I liked when Noble and Hart realized they were left because it kind of continues to toy the possibility of three partnerships going into ONIH not sure what Hart is going to do to Noble.
As for the announcement...Well, not only does it make the chamber that much more interesting now that Goeren is the guest referee for it, but it also makes Overdrive that much more stacked, and leads back to Jules' note about how it's hard to book a non-PPV quality match on Overdrive. Really hard when we get new talent like Goeren on Overdrive.
Overall, it wasn't the best go home show, but it wasn't the worst. Lots of stories are going to be continues by ONIH, and it will be interesting to see how things go at the show.
