I'm a fan of both of these teams in the World Series and it makes it difficult for me to really say who I'd like to win.
I think Detroit deserves it, I'd love to see Verlander get a ring.
On the other hand, I've been betting on baseball a lot and the Giants have won me a lot of money and I think it's only fair they get rewarded with a World Series victory.

I'm cheering for Detroit. I like the Ilitch family and want to see Mr. Ilitch get a World Series ring to go with his four cups from Detroit.

I'm rooting for Detroit because Verlander is a fucking beast.
And because I hate San Fran. I hate Brian Wilson's beard, he's like that guy who said something funny and says it all the time
FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS
So, he's KNuckles

I'm rooting for the Giants for a multitude of reasons, the primary ones being the following...
1) I hate Prince Fielder, and Hunter Pence is one of my favorite players. They play for the Tigers and Giants respectively. 2) Miguel Cabrera got the triple crown. I don't want to see this man accomplishing EVERYTHING in one season. In my mind, he's the likely candidate for MVP as well, and that's too much as it is. 3) I was a Giants fan as a kid, and even though my mom's half of my family is from Michigan, I'm rooting for the Giants- part of it is to be different from them, but at the same time, I love a good argument.

I'm rooting for the Tigers, mainly because of the reasons mentioned. Verlander deserves a ring, Cabrera getting one would cap off an awesome season for him. I also tend to favor teams that haven't won recently (I'm a sucker for 'new' champions) and since the Giants just won in 2010, I'd like to see the Tigers win...
The only problem is...Detroit seems to choke in the World Series.
It's still early, sure, but as of right now, it's not looking good. The last time the Tigers were here, they lost to St. Louis in 4 straight games. They almost need to throw some games in the LCS next time so they don't get so rested while the other teams ride their wave of momentum.
