Growin up music

So I was searching on You Tube and found an AWESOME channel for 90's alternative!

This was music I basically grew up on. It got me through so much in High School and beyond.

Anyways, I thought we could all post songs/groups that got us through HS/College, etc.

Though this is aimed at us older folks, it's not exclusive. You young whippersnappers can do the same, even if I think this generation's music is crap.

Let me start.....



One of my favorite bands back in the day... poetic as hell.

This was a song that got me at the beginning of high-school. Came out at the perfect time for me as I kinda started to look at my life and my future a bit.



Played this my sophomore year (last year before I got hurt) of basketball during the other teams entrance thing they'd do. There's nothing quite like one hundred high-school kids signing along to it as your watching some hood rats from the north bouncin' up and down trying to be hard.



This was the song we'd play before we hit the court for Volleyball my first year. Funny story coming out of it is one school has a pool attached that's open to the public and those locker rooms serve as the visitor locker rooms as well. This community is hardcore religious (Seventh Day Adventist) and so the introduction was very offensive. This old guy comes out of the shower butt ass naked and starts yelling at us, saying we're sick and listening to 'the devils music' and he's going to go speak to our coach about us and gets basically out into the gymnasium before he realizes he's floppin' all over the place and shuffles back in, embarassed as fuck we're just pissin' ourselves laughing.
