What do you mean by “we”, Turner? This isn't French class!

This is taking way too long. Tuhoa Valo has been accused of being a lot of things in his day, but patient isn’t one of them. I don’t like to wait, I take what I want. If I can’t get it, I use force until I do. I’ve always lived by a creed, a “by any means necessary” belief system. That’s how I’ve always lived, and I’ll never change. To me, life is all about “survival of the fittest”. And when my life is over, it will mean nothing to me, unless I can wholeheartedly say that I was the absolute fittest. As I sat in my cellar, atop my throne… I looked down at my associate, Mr. Turner. The look on his face, let me know that he was concerned. Problem is, he never stops being concerned about me. He’s been that way for years, almost like a bigger brother. Rather than asking him what he was worried about today, I already knew. It’s the same exact thing that he’s been worried about since I came to APW. Worried about not only my well being, but also worried about the plan that we’ve been working on, for well-over three months…

The Finnish Phenom
I don’t understand why you constantly worry about this. I mean, you’re not even the one stepping into the ring week after week, I am! Why worry yourself sick about all of this? Really, why?

Mr. Turner
Because I’ve had just as much of a part in these plans, as you have! We’ve been working far too hard, for far too long. Now you’re telling me that you want to flush it all down the toilet?

The Finnish Phenom
That’s not what I’m saying, not at all! I’m just saying that we can get this out in the open a little faster than the speed that we’ve been moving at, Turner. That’s all. Like I keep telling you, I’ve been in this business for a long, long time. I know what we’ve got to do, and furthermore, I know how to pull it off.

Mr. Turner
It’s apparent to me that you haven’t changed one damn bit. Do you remember what got us to this point in the first place? Do you remember what caused us to force our hands to this plan? It was all your fault to begin with! And now you want to go back to your old ways? I thought that you were “keeping up with tradition”? I thought that you had this all figured out?

The Finnish Phenom
I do have it all figured out, Turner! Who’s the one who has spent nearly his entire lifetime in this business? Is it you, or is it me?

Check mate, he knew I had him with that comment. As he continued to stare at me speechless, I knew that I had to capitalize on “stumping” him.

Look at what I’ve done, since I came to Action Packed Wrestling. Look at the destruction that I’ve caused! No one has been able to stop me, and no one’s going to stop me anytime soon. While the Meltdown roster has been on the road week after week, I’ve been training, as well as preparing for this. While they continue to tire out, I’m still as fresh as a daisy! Take Shanell Lewis for example, Turner. She very-well could be the best female wrestler in the business, aside from Sally Talfourd. But when she steps into the ring with me, she’s going to look like nothing more than an amateur! And to think, I’m supposed to be the rookie!

Mr. Turner
I’m just thinking that if you go through with this, with the small amount of time that you’ve been… You’ve only been in Action Packed Wrestling for a few weeks, don’t you think that you might want to wait a little while longer?

He could tell by the look on my face, that nothing he said to me was going to matter much. Turner has been with me for a long time, he’s been by my side for years. If there’s one thing that he knows about Tuhoa Valo, it’s that I’m stuck in my ways.

Mr. Turner
You know how highly I think of you. I always have, and I always will. That’s the only reason we’re having this conversation over and over again. I just think that you should wait a while longer, get a better track record under your belt in APW, before you go pulling strings like this.

The Finnish Phenom
It’s not about pulling stings! And trust me, after I mangle the pretty face of Shanell Lewis at One Night in Hell, I’ll be one step closer to being untouchable. Once I instill the fear of Valo into the entire roster, no one’s going to want to challenge me, let alone say anything to me while I push my weight around! I mean, what are they going to do to me? They won’t be able to do or say ANYTHING!

He continued to stare at me with a look of concern. Truth be told, in the back my mind, I kind of knew that he was right…

Look, I know you’re only doing this because you care. And honestly, I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know. I don’t have too many people left, they all seem to leave at one point or another. But you, you’ve never left my side. So for you, I’ll take it under consideration.

The sign of relief on his face, let me know that he really does care. I can’t really say that I’ve had too many people ever in my life, care about me as much as Turner does.

Mr. Turner
It’s about time that you listened to me! I…

With that being said, I need to bring my focus back to One Night in Hell, and Shanell Lewis. While I really don’t see her as a threat, I still understand that there’s the possibility that I could be underestimating her. So I’m not going to take any chances, and I’m not going to leave any stone unturned. I’m going to take her out, then I’m going continue to take out whoever steps in my way, all the way to the North American Championship. Then, when I’m champion, other shows wont be able to look past me. They’ll be forced to take notice, and they wont want me anywhere else, but on their show! And once that happens, once Overdrive and Asylum are chomping at the bit to get their hands on me… Then, we’ll continue ahead with the plan.

Mr. Turner
See, I told you! Stick with the original plan, and there’s nothing that can go wrong! All we have to do is continue forging ahead, and once we get passed all the bullshit, we’ll be in the free and clear to execute every last little detail of the plan!

The Finnish Phenom
What do you mean by “we”, Turner? This isn't French class! I understand that you’ve had your hand in planning this with me, but you’re not the one that’s going to be the muscle in all of this. It’s going to take work, back breaking work. Work that I’m going to have to execute by myself, with no one else involved. It’s not like you can get into the ring or anything!

Mr. Turner
Who knows, maybe I could…

The look on my face, let him know that I wasn’t taking him serious at all. The look I got in return, let me know that he wasn’t being serious either.

Mr. Turner
You know I’m only kidding. Now, I know that you’ve got a lot on your plate right now… I really do. But here lately, you’ve been walking around like a zombie! In your head, what’s going on man?

What in the hell are you talking about?

Mr. Turner
You’re like a zombie! You push forward, not letting anything stop you until you get what you want. Normally, that’s fine and dandy! But you’ve either been thinking irrationally, or not been thinking any at all! You need to remember that ever action you take, causes an equal or worse reaction. Not only do you put yourself at risk, but you put all of us at risk as well!

Why do I get the feeling that you’re not talking about APW anymore?

We shared a moment of silence, staring at each other. I could tell that he wasn’t willing to back down, so I had to find a way to avoid the talk.

I need to keep my head in the game, Turner! Personal business can wait. Brush it aside for the time being, and lets concentrate on what we can do at One Night in Hell. That’s what I need to be focused on right now, and I’m not going to allow your paranoia to sidetrack me. Right about now, Shanell Lewis thinks that she’s going to defeat me at the pay per view. And no matter how much talking I do, her thought process isn’t going to change any. So I need to focus on what I’ve got to do, to show her exactly what I’m talking about. And to do that, I need you off my back about all of that. Think you can do that for me, Turner? Think that you can take a chill on our “underground” business?

Mr. Turner
Fine, have it your way. But I remember a time when you used to be able to juggle both of these things at once. I remember when you used to be mentally tougher than what you are now.

Yeah, and look where that took me! Look what I’ve had to do to recover! Look what we’ve had to go through together, all because of juggling business with pleasure! Now please, keep your fucking mouth shut, and get your head out of your ass! Not even ten minutes ago, we were on the same page. Now all of the sudden, you want to stop “get his head in the game” shit, and start with all of this? Here’s the deal, Turner… Either get on board with one thing or another, or get the hell out!

As he stood there, I could tell that he wasn’t thinking about going anywhere. He needed me, and we both knew it.

Mr. Turner
So what? You handle Lewis, and continue to dominate Meltdown until one of the other shows picks you up?

Hold on a minute there, big man. Wasn’t you who talked me into “one step at a time”? I can’t take her as lightly as I have been, you know? Like I said, underestimating her is only going to lead to disappointment. I know I’ve got this match in the bag, but I can’t just keep taking her lightly. We can’t have an upset on our hands, and I’m not going to allow defeat on my end. So it’s back to business as usual, back to WRESTLING business. Shanell Lewis, she goes down. Then, hopefully I get his attention.

Mr. Turner
Why are you so persistent on taking out Young Mannie? You know as well as I do, that the guy’s eventually going to flop again! He always does!

The Finnish Phenom
Shanell Lewis and Young Mannie are exactly what’s wrong with professional wrestling! They try to pass themselves off as Megastars, when all they are is a fashion statement that APW is trying to make! They sell merchandise because they’re “marketable”, and people gravitate towards their look. People don’t gravitate towards me, because they’re terrified to even speak to me. But I let my in-ring work do all the talking, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do at One Night in Hell. If I have it my way, I’m going to end her wrestling career. But I’ll give it to her, she seems like a resilient one. So maybe I’ll just mangle her pretty little face a bit, make her a little less “marketable” for APW.

That would work well into the plan.

Damn right, it would! We get rid of one problem at a time, and things wont get messy. Shanell Lewis isn’t exactly apart of the plan, but it works out. Taking care of her at the pay per view, will kill two birds with one stone. One, I get to make yet another statement… And two, it speeds up the process of cleaning up Action Packed Wrestling. I never intended it to work out quite like this, but it works out nonetheless. And Shanell Lewis, like I said, easy pickings. She thinks that she’s something special? Well, at the pay per view, I make her special, by bashing her brains in! Then maybe Young Mannie will feel like he has a purpose again, being able to take care of a special needs person. Because let’s face it, getting to her, gets to him. And once I’m done making her look like just another dime-a-dozen wrestler, I can prove to him once and for… That he no longer has any room being in this business, let alone APW. This is MY company, Meltdown is MY show! As long as I’m around on Monday nights, I’m not going to let anyone else think that they run it.

Cleaning up professional wrestling is the plan, and I’ve been successful in my journey thus far. I’m not going to let Shanell Lewis slow me down, because she’s part of the cause. She’s part of what I’m trying to clean up, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to go into one of APW’s biggest pay per view events of the year, and let her make me look like an ass. I will leave One Night in Hell with a victory. And one way or another, I’m going to get my hands on her little boyfriend, and expose him as well. I’m tired of messing around with jobbers. Two weeks in, and I should already be in the ring with the likes of Michael Lively, not messing around with a hoodrat who rides the coattails of a professional wrestling has-been! As if she doesn’t look pathetic enough already, clicking up with Young Mannie damn sure does the trick. And after One Night in Hell, she’s not going to want to show her face in Action Packed Wrestling for a long, long time. That is, if she ever wants to show her face to anyone ever again. Because we both know what I’m capable of, and the plans I have for the pay per view, the way I want to shine as bright as I can for the whole world to see… Shanell Lewis doesn’t stand a snowballs chance in hell!

Mr. Turner
Your plans, they need to be executed with flawless precision. So if you’re planning on doing a little “extra work” at the pay per view, you might want to think twice about it. I know you’re looking to target Young Mannie, and I know you’re excited about getting a chance to take out Shanell Lewis. But don’t go out of your way to ensure that she winds up injured. That’s where mistakes could very-well be made.

I wont go out of my way to mangle her face. But trust me, if it happens, it happens. And in that case, I won’t feel a damn bit of remorse for her. She wants to step into the ring with me, then she’s going to step into the ring and deal with the consequences. I’m not done making this statement, and don’t expect me to take it easy on her. The only way I fight, is the only way I know how. Full force, pedal to the metal, and I refuse to let a damn thing stay in my path. Shanell Lewis… Is in for the fight of her life.
