The cellphone that was in my hand about a second ago, had just shattered into a million pieces against the wall. No worries, I’m a smart man… I pay for the additional insurance. I didn’t like what I had been told, and it had me thinking that I might need to accelerate my plans. Mr. Turner looked at me, knowing exactly what I had just been told over the phone…

Mr. Turner
So what… It’s just a little setback. It doesn’t mean that you’re looked at any less. Meltdown NEEDS professional wrestlers like you. Win or lose, they’re going to have to showcase you! You’re too good for them to hold down, and they’re not going to.

The Finnish Phenom
That’s the problem, Turner! I never tapped out! Therefore, I never lost! That referee needs to be fired, blacklisted, and never allowed back in a wrestling ring! At least, he should never be allowed to referee anymore! But if he wants to step into the ring with me, that’s another story!

Turner looked at me confused, as if he didn’t believe what I was saying…

The Finnish Phenom
Don’t look at me like that, you know I would have never tapped out! Especially against a Meltdown no-name “Megastar” like Logan Alexander! It’s bullshit! I don’t tap out, I never give up! My hand simply slipped and hit the mat. The referee took that as indication that I was tapping out, WHICH I WASN’T! I don’t tap out, Turner! I DO NOT TAP OUT!

Mr. Turner
Okay, boss! Cool off! Regain your composure, and just continue forging ahead. You’re not going to get anywhere if you dwell on a loss to Logan Alexander, and you know that!

The Finnish Phenom
But that match would have made me the number one contender to the North American Championship, a title that I’m going to need, if my plans are to accelerate past Meltdown! Without that damn title, it’s pointless to even think ahead!

Mr. Turner
Then keep your focus on Meltdown, for the time being! You have a chance to prove your worth again this week, you’re facing Germaine Williams!

The Finnish Phenom
Now that’s a guy who knows how to tap out! Did you see what Parker did to him last week?

Mr. Tuner
Exactly! Beat the former number one contender… Then after Logan loses his match against Parker, she’s all yours. Management will have no choice but to give you a title shot. When Parker and Alexander are done going at it, provided she beats him, you’re next in line! But if she loses, obviously, she steps in front of you. So maybe you should make sure she wins?

And how in the hell do you suggest I go about doing that?

Mr. Turner
I don’t know, cost Logan the match?

That’s the last thing I need to do right now, Turner. I don’t need to be looking over my shoulder for that little jobber, wondering when he’s going to try and return the favor. It just wouldn’t make sense for me to step in between the two of them, when I know that Aubrey could beat his ass any day of the week! So to be quite honest, I think your plan sucks.

Mr. Turner
Okay, then… What do you have in mind?

Exactly what we already talked about. I beat the hell out of Williams, and I move right back in line for a shot at the North American Championship. It’s that simple, but it’s not going to be that easy. While he might have perfected the art of tapping out, it’s not going to be easy for someone to beat him two weeks in a row.

Mr. Turner
But he’s never been in the ring with you, he doesn’t know what to expect. It’s like you said a few weeks ago… He’s been on the road longer than you have, you’re still more fresh than he is. Furthermore, without a shadow of a doubt, you’re a way better wrestler. He doesn’t stand a chance, boss.

The Finnish Phenom
Trust me, I know. I also know the uphill battle that I’m in for, when I get in the ring with him. He’s not going to easily accept this defeat. Like it or not, I’m going to have to earn it. But as you already know, I’m up for the challenge. It’s what I thrive on, it’s what I live for! And if I get the chance to make him tap out again this week, you can bet your ass that I’m going to take it! I NEED to win this match, a loss would only set me back to my starting point. I’ve worked far too hard already to go back to where I started, and I refuse to let that happen. But making him tap out, for the SECOND week in a row? Come on now, I have to try! Nothing says “you just don’t have what it takes”, than making a man give up for a second time in a row. Parker did her job last Monday, now it’s my turn.

Mr. Turner
Why not just focus on winning the match? You don’t have to make him tap out. You can win by pinfall, and people will still view you as the same threat that you always were! I don’t know why you always have to make everything so complicated! Think simple, man! Think simple, come away with a simple victory, and you’ll be at the forefront of the North American Championship picture. It’s that simple… It’s just plain simple.

He was right, but I’d never let him know that. It’s one thing to want to go into a match and win, that’s simple enough. But to go into a match wanting to make a man tap out, that’s something that only “overachievers” strive to do.

The Finnish Phenom
Call me an overachiever, I guess. But to make a man like Williams tap out for a second week in a row, puts me on the exact same pedestal as Aubrey Parker, and that’s what I need right now. I need to be viewed as the top threat to her North American Championship. Being viewed any other way, won’t allow me the leverage that I need to get into her head. No matter how impressive this win is, no matter how bad I beat his ass, it won’t mean a damn thing, unless I’m able to make him tap out on Monday night.

Think about it, Turner. A month into my stay on Meltdown, and I was already in a match to become the number one contender. That in itself speaks volumes to my abilities. But to “one up” the North American Champion, by making Germaine Williams tap out a week after she did, that will get me inside of her head, and it will provide much-needed leverage. I want that title, Turner. I NEED that title! And make no mistake about it, the North American Championship gives me exactly what I need, to move forward with my plan. It gives me more than enough needed, to finally show the world what my plan was all along!

Is that what this is about? You’re really ready to go through with this? Do you think that the North American Championship is enough, boss?

I KNOW IT IS! No matter what show I’m on, the top belt is enough to move forward with the plan! Sure, I wanted to wait until I was drafted… But God only knows when the next draft is going to be! I can’t wait that long, I’m running out of patients!

I could tell by the look in his eyes, that he knew I was growing tired. I didn’t intend to stay on Meltdown this long, I deserve to be showcased on a bigger stage. I’m just as good as Michael Lively, so why wasn’t I drafted? If they’re looking for me to prove my worth before moving me, then the North American Championship should be enough. Because if a company doesn’t believe in one of their “major” title holders, than they shouldn’t label themselves a professional wrestling company in the first place.

I’m ten times better than Germaine Williams! Hell, I’m better than Aubrey Parker! It’s up to me to show up in Harrisburg Monday night, wipe the floor with “Mr. Krunks” face, and step back in line for the North American Championship. Ha… Krunk… Who calls themself Krunk, anyways?

Apparently, he’s not taking his career too seriously. This guy is just another one of those “entertainers” that I’ve been talking about. He’s a fan favorite if I’ve ever seen one, that’s for sure! But what are his fans going to do, when they have no hero to cheer for? Monday night on Meltdown, what are they going to do when I rid him of his boyish good looks?
…The man that gravity forgot? Yeah, I hope he tries to play that game with me, I really do! Because when I take him down to the mat… I’m going to give him a lesson in gravity. When you’re on your back, and there’s nothing you can do to get up… Gravity isn’t going to do a damn thing for you. Get what I’m saying, Turner?

He’s quick, though. You’re going to have to stay on your toes, if you’re wanting to go toe-to-toe with Williams. He’s indeed one of those types…

The Finnish Phenom
He’s a whackjob! He’s mind-numbingly stupid, if he thinks that he’s got a chance, stepping into the ring with me! I am a master of the mat, a god in that wrestling ring! He relies too much on his aerial assaults, he’s only comfortable when he’s in flight! But what’s he going to do, how’s he going to fair, when I take his ass down to the mat? How’s he going to react, when I force his ass to wrestle in MY WORLD? Truth is, he’s not going to stand a chance! He’s going to crack under the pressure, crumble at my feet, and I’m going to reap the rewards, based on the fact that his mat skills are lackluster at best! There’s only one real professional wrestler in this match on Monday Night, and his name’s not Germaine Williams! If anything, I’m going to be giving this kid a lesson in professional wrestling, while also teaching him that he just doesn’t have what it takes, to compete at my level! He’s a Meltdown mainstay, something that I’ll never be! I’m going to break out from this brand, and I’m going to do it quick, fast, and in a hurry!

The longer I have to wait, the thinner my patients wear. And accepting a loss to Logan Alexander for “tapping out”, isn’t something that I’m going to do! I never tapped, and I never will! Getting past Williams on Monday night, getting closer to Aubrey Parker, then FINALLY winning that North American Championship… It’s just going to make things that much easier in the long run. But I promise you, I’m going to make this guy look like a joke. I’m going to make him look like an amateur, compared to the likes of myself! And when I’m done with him, you could place him up next to Young Mannie, and Young Mannie would look like a true star! Because when the world actually finds out how bad this Germaine Williams really is, they’re not going to want anything to do with him! They’re going to turn their backs on him, just like they do every other dime-a-dozen wrestler, that walks through those doors!

I told the world that I had a plan, and I intend to see it through. This isn’t the part of the story, where my plan begins to fall apart, Turner. My plan has only just begun. High flyers, they’re all apart of that “clean up” that I’ve been talking about. It’s men like Williams, who do nothing but “give the fans flashy spots”, and I intend to break him of that habit, by breaking both of his legs! He’s not going to be able to continuously climb up to the top rope, when he can’t even walk, now will he? Therefore, I have full intentions of crippling him. Crippling him to the point that he just can’t take it anymore, and he taps out like a little girl, begging and pleading with the referee to get me off of him. The world thinks that I tapped out, last Monday night? Well what’s the world going to think, when I make one of their “golden boys”, one of their “knights in shining armor”, one of their “heroes”… Tap out?

Mr. Turner
It sounds to me like you’ve got a lot of work to do, boss. I mean, with everything we’ve got going on elsewhere besides Action Packed Wrestling, you’re schedule is looking pretty stout right now. Think you’re going to be able to handle all of this without cracking?

The Finnish Phenom
Are you kidding me? Think about who you’re talking to, Turner. Think about who you just said that to! Do you not know who I am? I can handle anything thrown at me, and I don’t crack under pressure. Besides, I’ve taken a break from everything outside of the wrestling business, for the time being. I need to focus on the task at hand. That’s the only way I’m going to be able to reveal the plan. It’s the only way I’m going to be able to pull this off.

He didn’t look too happy. As he sat there staring at me like I had just farted, I wondered to myself what was going to come out of his mouth next…

Mr. Turner
Now you’re kidding with me, right? Boss, come on! Think about it! After all the planning that we’ve been doing, after all the rebuilding that we’ve already done, you’re going to take a vacation?

The Finnish Phenom
Hey, if the president of the United States can take a vacation during hard times and tribulations, so can I. I mean, he supposedly runs the “most powerful nation in the world”, and I don’t seem him getting off his ass to do anything productive.

Mr. Turner
But you don’t run the United States of America! You run something way more important, something more prominent than a country that can’t tell when their leader is a fraud! If you dismiss this, they might dismiss you. And I think you know what I mean.

Dammit, he’s right again! And again, I’m not going to tell him that. Nevertheless, I think that with my track record, I should be able to manage.

The Finnish Phenom
One thing at a time, Turner. Trust me, that’s the way we need to do this. Action Packed Wrestling is where my head needs to be at, right now. As for the future, we have plenty of time to execute anything that we have prepared. Preparation is key, and I think you get what I’m saying. Remember telling me not to jump the gun in APW? Well I think that you need not jump the gun, when it comes to other business. We’re making good time, and we have plenty more of it. But for right now, my focus will remain on APW. Furthermore, my focus will remain on Germaine Williams, and what I’m going to do to him Monday night. It’s time for me to show APW that I really didn’t tap out last Monday. It’s time for me to show the fans that I am here to crush their every hope and dream. But above all else… It’s time for me to move forward. And to do that, I’m going to need this victory. Besides, as you well know, I’m the odds on favorite. I CAN’T LOSE!
