Regal wasn't used to his full potential in WWE. They would start to give him a little push, and then pull back on it. He was never allowed to have a significant feud, and I believe that politics is to blame. People more popular than Regal, would hold him back, because they knew that he'd easily eclipse them.

But they'll never be able to take away his pure wrestling ability.

Agreed, Regal is awesome. He could still get over today. When they did give him a giant push he failed a drug test. Jericho's second book said he also has a heart parasite that effects him.

Well I never did really like Regal, but I do have to agree with something. Every time he did find himself getting pushed, getting into a feud, or getting a title shot, they always haled him back. Even if he was champion, he didnt stay for too long. So to me thats bs.
