A casually dressed Donald Deruty walks out from an exact hotel elevator in which he did last week. The ivory button sits lit as Donald walks onto the cold tile of the lobby. Each step he takes seems like a celebration as he has his head up from his victory last week with The Silver Lining. Passing the lobby clerk as he walks towards the exit. He reaches the bell boy and stops for a moment before turning in a ninety degree angle and heads down a hidden hallway. Passing doors and suits with golden numbers upon a silver plaque.
As he descends through the hallway he meets a room with a round table placed right in the middle, like it was measured to perfection. Eight wooden chairs surround the oak table, carefully placed pitchers of water and glasses sit upon the top of the table, over a night black cloth preventing a ring to form. Donald stops and glares into the cleanly cut room, looking at the pictures that sit within its given frames. After moments of admiring the room, he makes his way towards the closest chair to his feet. He walks without a sound as the newly placed carpet suppresses the bottom of his newly cleaned sneakers. Carefully placing himself in the chair as he continues to admire the atmosphere around him, until he finally just shrugs his shoulders in acceptance, much like the newly designed room was just sub-par.
Donald Deruty: As I sit here in this hotel meeting room, I can only think of the actions that occurred last week and what I showed the entire Action Packed Wrestling, roster, universe, and most importantly management. My statement reigns true from the match in which they have placed me within this new week in Salem. I made a statement in the four sided circle last week, and it must have caught the managements attention, because this week I am in another tag match, but the individual that claims the pin will be the new #1 Contender for the North American Championship. I hear about my opponents, and yes, they do create a challenge for myself, but I am not frightened nor intimidated. This interesting and competitive competition between eight individuals are filled with many different egos and interesting personalities.
We have a lucha libre, that wrestles for his heritage and his deep history, much like other mexican wrestlers. Another individual is Mr. Christopher Gunn, or as he calls himself, “Golden Boy”. Also fitting into the mix is a main street maniac, “The King of Atlanta”, or as most people probably know him, Scrap. As well as the two Sons of the South, Buckson Gooch and Mac Bane. And finally we have the two beautiful twin siblings that call themselves the Storm Front. Even though all of these backgrounds and personalities vary, we are all here for one reason, and that is to succeed within Action Packed Wrestling. Many differences between the eight of us can be easily seen, but the similarities, are hidden within.
My opponents and myself are all newcomers here in Action Packed Wrestling, we are all looking for that one move and match that can get up closer to success within our newly acquired Action Packed Wrestling career. Much and many talent fall within the eight individuals that I just named, but unfortunately there will only be four individuals that will come out of the match with a “W” in their back pocket. As well as out of those four competitors, only one will be given the title of #1 Contender for the North American Championship, and will go on to fight the current North American Champion. Just this match as a eight man tag match is a feat, let alone adding the #1 Contender title for the North American Championship into the mix.
Earlier as I looked at my opponents I couldnt't help myself but be blown away from their performances within Action Packed Wrestling so far. I look at some of the talent that fills Meltdown and I just chuckles as the thought of Meltdown only being a newcomer brand, as the talent in it is far from newcomer ability. Although my opponents fill the shoes of their own in the ring, my partners as well can bring it in the four sided circle of APW. As I was watching the individuals that match the name of my partners I was rather impressed as well. I couldn't believe at the talent that two very young twins could provide within a match. Not only was it Storm Front, in which I was impressed with, it was Mascara as well, the way he moves around the ring with such agility and speed is almost non-human. Some of the moves and gutsy actions that he pulls off is just exhilarating not only to the Action Packed Wrestling Universe, but all of the roster sitting in their respected locker room. The wrestling styles within my partners and myself are very similar. We are all within the category of high flyers. Once again another thing that me and my partners have in common much like last week. So much like last week, the advantage goes to the team of Storm Front, Mascara, and Donald D...
Donald is interrupted by the bell boy that was previously standing in front of the main entrance of the bed and breakfast. A very formally dressed male stands tall before Donald sitting in the black leather chair.
Bell Boy: Mr. Deruty, would now be a fine time to bring in tonight's entertainment?
Donald Deruty: What time is it exactly good sir?
Bell Boy: It is a quarter til noon sir. At least that is the time of day my watches tells me.
Spinning in the chair for a moment, thinking about what time the entertainment shall be greeted.
Donald Deruty: That shall be fine, now should be a acceptable time to bring it in. Go on and fetch the entertainment for me. Do you need any help bringing it in?
Bell Boy: No sir, I should be able to bring it in just fine.
The young man swiftly descends down the hallway back into the lobby, leaving Donald alone within the room. Donald gets up from the leather chair and walks while gazing upon a picture that hangs by two nails upon the east wall. The picture seems to but Donald in a trance as he glares into it.
Donald Deruty: This week is a week for respect. This match is a match in which we are given a chance to shine above our peers of Action Packed Wrestling and show that we are much more than newcomers in which we are labeled as. Not only is this match an honor to be in and be apart of, it is also going to be a huge controversy within the competitors eyes. No matter how we look at this week, it is every man for themselves. As we all speak of our competitors and partners in the match, there is one little thing I have yet to hear.
That little thing is that just the individual that is rewarded the pin, gets the title of #1 Contender. No the other three individuals of that side of the ring. As an opponent lays on the mat with their shoulders down, all four individuals are going to be hungry for that pin, much like a pack of starving wolves. And the only thing that will fill our stomachs is being able to be called the #1 Contender for the North American Championship. No matter how the four individuals work together as a team, those three seconds for a pin will be one of the most regrettable or rewarding moments within our Action Packed Wrestling careers. If we see our partner going for the pin, do we go out and stop it the three count? Those are the real questions the competitors should be asking themselves.
Bell Boy: Sir. A little help please?
The bell boy re-enters the meeting room with a roulette table gripped between his fingers. He is staggering from the weight of the gambling instrument. A smile falls upon the face of Donald as he shakes his head in amusement. Placing the roulette table on the wooden table, after moving the water pitcher and glasses.
Donald Deruty: Thank you very much. You may bring in my company for this evening.
Bell Boy: Umm sir, what company?
Donald Deruty: The individuals that brought this huge piece of gambling equipment, what do you mean what company?
Bell Boy: Ohh, sir...
Reaching into his pocket and pulling out a note from his green hotel uniform. Placing it in the hands of the confused Donald. After griping the paper, Donald holds it up to his face before proceeding to read the words written in fine black ink.

Donald then sits back down onto the leather chair and looks upon the huge chunk of equipment that sits before him. Moments go by before he places his feet up on the table and lays back in the chair. He spins the head of the roulette table a few times before letting it stop and look forward towards the wall that sits on the structure in front of him.
Donald Deruty: Once again I can't get this week off my mind, no matter what I do to try and calm my nerves. I sit here relaxed as I can be, yet there is still an uneven sense inside of me. Four individuals against four other equally talented individuals, all fighting for one thing, and that is to own the title of #1 Contender. Much like the game of roulette, this match takes much luck and chance to be in the right position to claim the pin and #1 Contenders status. Although much like the game roulette there is another thing that was a result of luck, and that was the debut match of two of my competitors this week.
Of course I speak of the two men that call themselves the Sons of the South. Two individuals that have proven themselves in the world of Action Packed Wrestling these last couple of weeks. They have made such and impact to gain themselves in a match of this caliber, and it is rather impressive to say the least. Although, much like the statements that they claimed this week about me, I am going to have to claim about them as well. The two men of Buckson Gooch and Mac Bane, make a living here in Action Packed Wrestling as a tag team. Yet they haven't proved what they can do in singles competition. So after measuring the claims that they stated earlier on in the week is a little bit hypocritical. Now another thing that they seem to be leaving out of the picture is that I walked into Action Packed Wrestling as a singles competitor. I have made a living relying on me and only myself. Unfortunately two weeks ago, the first time the Sons of the South and myself met was a different story. I had to not only rely upon my own well-being, but my partner's insecurity as well; as he tagged himself in and was quickly pinned for the three count.
Now you two individuals have started off with a hell of a career here in Action Packed Wrestling so far. Proving that you two have the talent to be with the names of the top tag team competitors here in Action Packed Wrestling. Just last week you defeated a man that has a very successful career here in the APW, and that man is Johnny Knuckles. A very impressive win, that you two have added to your resume, but “The Silver Lining” and myself has also added an impressive win upon our resume last week, as we defeated the current Xtreme Champion in Nick Watson. Although it is a rather impressive victory earned over a fellow APW superstar, I am not Johnny Knuckles.

Donald Deruty: Another one of my competitors call himself “The King of Atlanta”, although his loss last week hasn't backed all of the hype he has been giving himself here in Action Packed Wrestling. I am in no way dismissing his past accolades and potential future endeavors. I am just stating the facts and actions that were taken place last week within the confines of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Although, I understand from what has been shown this week from Scrap that he seems to be going through some family problems, as well as an identity crisis. Under which that subject I can relate, but I do have a concern for himself, not personally as an individual, but as a fellow competitor.
Now lets continue to speak the truth and be as honest as we can here. This week, to winner the match and the #1 Contendership is going to have to be fully aware of his opponents and the match. Unfortunately, “The King of Atlanta” is too worried upon his imaginary gold on his head in Georgia, than getting the real gold around his waist in Action Packed Wrestling. Scrap is not emotionally or mentally ready for this match and unfortunately that will be his downfall this week. He is to preoccupied by his father and loved ones, as well as finding himself and changing. Unfortunately, with all the sincerity I can provide, “The King of Atlanta” will be nothing but “The King of the Curb” this week.
Finally we have the most interesting and...“cocky”...personality here within Action Packed Wrestling and his name is Christopher Gunn, or as he calls himself “Golden Boy”. Now just watching the man in the ring, as well as talk just makes me sick at how much he envies himself. I can understand being a little self-confident, but this man takes the cake. With that being said, there is a difference between being arrogant and cocky. Now I speak of cocky with such emphasis because he isn't arrogant, he is just merely full of himself. That little attribute of his personality is what makes him “cocky”. In no way is he arrogant, because when someone is arrogant they simply keep reminding society of their accomplishments and accolades, well unfortunately Christopher, has neither of those two things.
The man may look at himself as a movie star, yet he has had nothing to show for it yet. He doesn't even have a mere win under his belt here within Action Packed Wrestling. Personally I think he needs to actually go out and prove that he has the talent to compete before coming out and talking so much hype that he can't even back it up with his in-ring abilities.
His feet moves from the top of the table to underneath himself as he stands up from his leather chair and to his feet. He grabs the ball that comes with the roulette table and holds it within the grasp of his hand.
Donald Deruty: Like I said, the game of roulette is just like the match this week. It acquires a little bit of everything: ability, luck, chance, and taking risks. This is the match that could make or break a career here in Action Packed Wrestling. Are you going to be the man that bets little by little, until you win just a little bit of a profit back? Or are you going to be the high roller and bet everything on one color and number? Are you willing to make a bet and take a chance of that high of caliber? That is the question we all should be asking ourselves tonight. Are we going to be a smart gambler, or are we going to become addicted to the chances and risks?
This roulette wheel contains seventy four different bets that one could make on one number and color combination. All of the competitors have the same amount of percentage of winning this roulette scheme of match. Although the only difference is the “house” or Action Packed Wrestling, doesn't have just a five percent success rate, they have a one hundred percent rate, because no matter what happens within that match, no matter who wins, no matter how it ends, APW management will have a big smile upon their faces from ear to ear.
