The scene opens with a tan painted walls of a museum in Albany, New York. Several works of art are hung on the walls with care and delicacy. The room of famous art works seems almost abandoned as there are only a few individuals inspecting and enjoying the history of the arts. The sound of sneakers squeaking across a newly waxed floor echoes in the highly acoustic art exhibit. Although a new sound of shoe seems to echo throughout the exhibit as the sound of a heel of a shoe hitting the tile floor of the museum is heard with such clarify. The sound of the shoe gets closer as the different paintings are being observed such as the most famous Mona Lisa. Finally the shoes to match the sound turns around the corner with the feet of a formally dressed Donald Deruty softly placed within their soles.
Donald slowly takes his steps towards the specific painting of Mona Lisa and stares within her eyes, as they stare right back not intimidated at the very least. People pass with such ease, not worrying about Donald right in front of the copy of the real painting of Leonardo da Vinci.
Donald Deruty: Now is the time for my second edition of this weeks update. As I stand here in a mere ghostly town population of an exhibit, I can't help but to allow myself to think of the mind of all these great artist and creators. A most interesting saying seems to reign true, “there is a thin line between genius and psycho”. Such an admiring quote, don't you think so? Are all of these fine copies of amazing works of art, really a delicacy? Are the men that we call geniuses from our past, really just insane human beings? All of these questions reign true from time to time, yet there is no real answer to tell between a genius and a man losing his mind, until he shows his true psychiatric defects. No words would describe my opponent within my second coming of Meltdown on the twenty sixth of November.
A man that not only sees himself as a human being, but a god as well. Of course I speak of the man that defeated the likes of Irver Famori just a week ago in Salem, Massachusetts. Although this man has much confidence within himself and his abilities, he does not lack to prove it within the four sided circle. Although some see this man who hails from Hellsinki, Finland, as just a man with such psychiatric needs in which I talked about not too long ago. Although if my statement reigns true, is this man just a genius incognito as a psycho? If history does prove us right, many psychos have been in disguise as geniuses for years, and for years to come. Who is to say that it could not possibly be the other way around, and in this specific and special case, I believe it is.
From what I have witnessed from that man within the Action Packed Wrestling four sided circle, I can tell that this man is no looney. The abilities that he possess within that ring is simple yet effective, and last week showed it when he earned a chance to face myself this week in Albany, New York, just miles away from my hometown of New York. Why am I asking such questions you may be asking your continence. Well I am simply justifying the works of my opponent and give credit where credit is due, unlike some individuals that stoop down to such levels to degrade his opponents to the full extent of his power. I speak of all the impressive accomplishments that my opponent has achieved so far here within Action Packed Wrestling. Last week was a small accomplishment in the eyes of “The Finnish Phenom”, and seemed like such a feat to achieve in Salem. Although such a feat was achieved, a new challenge awaits him in the four sided circle come Monday, November 26th, in Albany, New York. The name behind the challenge is non-other than Donald Deruty.
He slowly backs away from the carefully painted masterpiece as he continues to walk through the exhibit, barely paying any attention to the history that sits within the confines of the walls. Multiple paintings, famous and non, are between him and his new destination as he makes a turn around a hidden corner to a new exhibit of the Albany museum. He turns the corner in a very cordial fashion as he is greeted with the bright lights of a single word, glowing in a neon blue tint. He seems to not notice the huge neon sign that reads “Mythology”, as he continues to take steps towards his pre-decided destination. The formally dressed Donald is stopped by an employee of the exhibit as she greets him into the confines of the artifacts that sit behind the glass.
Employee: Hello and welcome to the newly remodeled “Mythology” exhibit of our museum. I hope that you enjoy your time here in the exhibit as much as we enjoy having you here.
Donald just smiles and the clique words of the young woman as he politely stops her and responds with words of his own.
Donald Deruty: I am sorry to bother you mam, but this exhibit does consist of Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology, correct?
Employee: I apologize sir, but the Roman exhibit is unfortunately not completely put together as a whole as of current. Although are Greek and Norse mythology exhibits are indeed open and ready for observers.
He nods at her before taking a few steps towards the Greek exhibit, but stops himself just two steps in. Donald turns his neck back towards the employee standing outside the entrance of the exhibit. Thanking her for her newly acquired information.
Donald Deruty: Have, and nice day mam, and I hope you had a festive Thanksgiving.
He turns his neck back towards the front of his body and continues to move forward into the Greek Mythology exhibit. The first step he takes seems to set of a sensor to rig a audio of thunder to play, as he takes his step into the newly designed exhibit. Pictures of several mythological creatures, gods and goddesses surround him from head to toe. The darkness of the room makes it relatively hard to see anything besides the lite artifacts and information about the creatures and or gods.
Items such and swords and shields from that time period sit with such care on shelves with a small light shining upon them. Donald walks through the exhibit until he finds a certain mythological god that interests himself. He slowly makes his way towards the exhibit and looks up upon the face of the Titan that started it all, Kronos/Cronos.
The behemoth of a man is seen as he wears armor and has muscles of a bodybuilder. Donald just admires the amazing picture of the Greek Titan, and father of Zeus and his many brothers and sisters. After a few seconds pass a small smile crawls upon the face of Donald as he smirks at the picture with a comedical sense within the confines of the smirk.
Donald Deruty: Here that stands in front of me is the Greek Titan, also known as Kronos or Cronos. This man holds a very interesting story within the beginning of Greek mythological times. Kronos, was a man of power and arrogance. He looked down upon anyone and everyone that was not himself, or his wife Rhea. After time went on for Kronos, his wife Rhea began to have a numerous amount of children, although joy did not fill Kronos's head. The thought of losing his power and throne was the only thing running around in his brain. So as a solution for him keeping his powers he would eat every child that would be born from Rhea, in hopes of never being dethroned. He looked at himself like a god, and everyone else as a normal, pitiful being. Does that same beliefs not ring a bell to anyone?
Unfortunately for my opponent, he believes that himself, is also a god, and we are just simple minded beings. Some individuals might say that it is good to be confident, yet thinking ones self as a god, is far from confidence. A very good lesson can be learned from history, which is why we learn and teach history in schools and in our everyday lives, so history does not re-write itself. Fictional or Non-Fictional, we still need to look at the mistakes taken from the past and the individuals that made those mistakes. Although, unfortunately “The Finnish Phenom” doesn't look at history in such a way. Allow me to tell you why it is so important to learn from our past. Now if you continue on with the story of Kronos; the final son, Zeus, was hidden from Kronos and was replaced by a rock. Years went by and Zeus got strong, strong enough to defeat his father. So when the time came, Zeus killed his father and released his brothers and sisters from the stomach of Kronos, and that was the downfall of Kronos.
The mentality of being a god himself, made him vulnerable from an easy attack such as the one that Zeus performed and left Kronos to die. Much like yourself Tuhoa, Kronos believed that he was the almighty god, and that nobody could defeat him. His arrogance proved to be his weakness. Without doubting his immediate thoughts turned out to be his downfall, the thought that he couldn't possibly be tricked ended his life. Much like yourself, Tuhoa, he worshiped himself until the day he was laid to eternal rest. History does re-write itself in many different ways, and from what the past tells, your ways and beliefs will ultimately become your inevitable defeat, I am your Zeus, and you are my Kronos.
The smirk wipes off the face of Donald as he continues to walk through the exhibit until he reaches a new section. The rooms is filled with the same darkness, yet is filled with the sounds of ravens and crows. I much different source of pictures is seen as hammers and axes are glistening in the spotlight from above.
Moving from case case, searching for another pre-determined destination. He passes the like of Thor and Odin, stopping for a short time to quickly skim through the reading in which he is given on the individuals. After looking at the exhibit for Odin, he is met with his destination, and that destination goes by the name of “God of Mischief” or Loki.
Donald Deruty: Here we are, another example of worshiping one's self to an extreme extent. As well as another example of a man fallen because of his arrogance and beliefs within himself. Loki, much like yourself, believed in his dark magic and tricks up his sleeves. He caused so much pain and anger in his father because of his selfish ways. Although one day his father Odin had enough of it, the little trickster Loki was then banished from the overworld.
You see Tuhoa, nothing great can come from such arrogance and selfishness that you so solemnly commit to. Placing yourself so high up such as a god, that is just a scenario that is lined up and waiting for failures. Your trickery ways may have got you through last week, but this week will be a different story to tell. Loki was a man of such disgrace to himself and his father, all because of his selfishness, yet we don't know what the consequences of your selfishness will be until the twenty sixth of November.
You see Tuhoa, there is a huge difference between have self confidence, and being completely full of everything you do and worship yourself as a immortal. The sad news that I hate to be the individual to explain it to yourself, but no body on this Earth is able to be seen as a “god”. The sooner that you accept and realize that is when you will finally start to accomplish everything to your full potential in that four sided circle, but unfortunately you will be filled with disappointment until that time comes in your wrestling career. I am your Odin, Tuhoa, and I will banish you from that four sided circle with your shoulders on the mat and with a simple count of 1...2...3.
Donald turns and begins to head towards the red exit. He finds himself passing all of the Norse and Greek mythological pictures and items in glass cases and protected with such care. He reaches the girl once again at the exit, still standing there with her uniform on and the same smile on her face.
Employee: Was everything to your liking sir?
Donald Deruty: Yes, it was very impressive. I was almost literally blown away.
Employee: Would you like to fill out a survey about the exhibits.
The young employee reaches into here pants pocket and pulls out a piece of white cardboard with survey information. She extends it towards Donald with it in the grasp of her hands and wrists.
Donald Deruty: No thank you, I believe that my feedback to you will be suffice.
Employee: Alright sir, have a nice day. And I hope that you had a very delightful Thanksgiving.
Donald walks towards the exit of the museum as he pushes the gold ivory handles with the simple force of his palms. He begins to head down the street of Albany as seas of people walk by him, almost like he is invisible to the world. With each step he takes he gets that much closer to his next destination.
Donald Deruty: Tuhoa Valo, what and interesting character to say the very least. I will give him the credit where it is deserved and that is in the ring. He is a simple brawler within the confides of the four sided circle, and it seems to be very effecting to an extent. Although, not matter how well his wrestling skills in the ring are, there is one specific thing that will become his downfall in Albany, New York. His beliefs are very interesting and different to say the very least; and unfortunately for Tuhoa, and fortunately for me, his belief and worship of himself will become his demise.
To an extent, the man I will face this week, is just like Kronos and Loki. Three men that all looked at themselves as the ultimate being in their respected worlds. Although they all have made a mistake that will be or already has been their downfall. Many think that confidence is key in a match such as itself, but unfortunately Tuhoa's ways are much more than a mere confidence boost before every match. Tuhoa is an extremist and come Monday at Meltdown, his extreme beliefs with prove to be the culprit of his defeat.
I am not a man that should be fooled around with, or think that I should be defeated with such ease. I prove a much bigger threat then I am taken, and I feel the same will come from my opponent this week. After watching such victories of mine here in Action Packed Wrestling, you would think that I would be giving my opponents at least the smallest bit of concern. Although, I hear the same gibberish week after week. Although I have seemed to prevail within the four sided circle of Action Packed Wrestling and it is time for me to show that I pose a threat here in Action Packed Wrestling, and it seems the only way to accomplish that is by winning the #1 Contendership for the North American Championship. If that is what must be accomplished, then so be it, I have never backed down from a wrestling match nor challenge in the four sided circle in my entire career, let it be Action Packed Wrestling or other federations. This contender that sits between me and the #1 Contendership for the North American Championship will be do different than past feats that I have achieved.
After walking down the street several blocks he reaches the Albany hotel parking lot once more, but continues to walk to the entrance of the hotel. He enters the establishment and heads towards the ivory button and elevator that awaits him across the tiled floor. He reaches the elevator and stands listening to the bland music coming from the above speakers.
Donald Deruty: Not even the almighty Kronos, nor the sneaky and sadistic Loki could defeat their counter part, and come Monday on November 26th, I am your counter part. And just like Kronos and Loki, you will not prevail against your counter part. History will re-write itself on Meltdown, only this defeat will be in the vision of the Action Packed Wrestling Universe. My opponent shall study everything that he can for Monday to know what is expecting from his counter part, because the night of the twenty sixth of November will be planted within the memory of Mr. Falo, and it will be labeled the “The Contendership That Got Away”.
Upon the night of the 26th only one thing will be going through my head when history once again reigns true and Tuhoa Falo is laying there with his back to the mat and the official ending the three count. I understand that this match is just to qualify for the real deal, and as soon as I hear that third count by the official, there is only one name that will be replaying through my mind...Logan Alexander...here comes Deruty.
Donald exits the elevator and makes his way towards his hotel room. He swipes his card and opens the door to smell freshly sprayed Lysol. The scene ends with the last thing that is seen is Donald entering the room with both dress shoes in place.
Donald slowly takes his steps towards the specific painting of Mona Lisa and stares within her eyes, as they stare right back not intimidated at the very least. People pass with such ease, not worrying about Donald right in front of the copy of the real painting of Leonardo da Vinci.
