I thought you said you threw that out?
The voice belonged to Kaylyn James Evans. A more natural look to her as she stands on the cement staircase leading up to her New York Apartment doors. She is wearing no make up and has a bathrobe covering her body. Bare footed, she is dancing on her tippy toes as Kash pays the cab driver and turns to face her. The Dark Match Championship draped over one of his two duffel bags.
Jason Kash: Yeah I threw it out driving to the airport. I land, get off the plane and into a cab. Boom, it's IN one of my bags. I nearly caused a car accident scre..nevermind..
Kaylyn James Evans: Ha! Did you scream?
Jason Kash: NO!! Let's just get inside..
Kaylyn James Evans: Awww poor baby! He has a Gypsy Curse because he couldn't control his flirting urges...Serves you right!
Not wanting to think about the Curse, he knew he didn't want the belt anymore and planned on finding a way to get rid of it. That was for a later time though. As he follows Kaylyn into the building, they enter the elevator and go up to her floor. Down the hall and into her room door, he takes a deep inhale at the strong smell of Kaylyn that fills the room.
Jason Kash: Smells just nice in here! So are you naked underneath that?
Kaylyn James Evans: Heh, wouldn't YOU like to know! Let me go put something else on and I'll show you to your room good sir! Make yourself at home..
No sooner as she leaves, he begins to feel out of place. Even as a kid he didn't spend much time overnight at people's houses. Other than House Parties where EVERYONE crashed but he was never a drinker so that never was his issue. Looking around you can see teddy bears on the sofa, pictures of Wrestling Stills that she has framed on the wall. Belts she has won also like him, plastered along the walls of her apartment. Living in New York was expensive and he'd also worried that Kaylyn was more into material things than he was use to being around. He spots a single Pillar standing near the location of her walk in Kitchen. It gets him to thinking and thinking becoming speaking.
Pillar. The Four Pillars. A force to be reckoned with but a force that is full of delusion and arrogance. What needs to change on Asylum is the hyped names coming in and being given chances to shine before proving themselves. Like Keaton Saint, like Chris Strike, and like Sally Talfourd. Someone who came from Overdrive and instantly was placed in the Main Event. Took her a full year to achieve the change to where the belt was around her waist. Asylum has made their own MegaStars, and done MORE than well with ratings without any of you in the spotlight. I mean it took Sally 365 days to finally achieve hers. Now you all wish to have some as well? Ehh...I have a problem with that.
First I'll take care of the man standing in the ring with me come Christmas Chaos. The "God Of Thunder" Chris Strike. Someone who already has his sights on upgrading to World Champion. Yet he is so busy with other promotions, other loyalties that he's kidding himself to think he can maintain what little luck he has found thus far. Namely against Johnny Knuckles. How does one go about losing to a man who was surrounded by midgets not 6 months ago? It's because you aren't here 100 percent Strike and it shows. What also shows is the blue print to beating you and if Knuckles can do it not once but twice? I know I can do it SO much prettier! See with Knuckles the story isn't hard to understand.
I've spent the last 6 years with him at my tail. Everyone else knows the story or at least parts of it but Chris, I know you don't pay too much attention to much so let me give you a quick layout. Knuckles was this big extreme guy when I first heard about him. People bragged about his achievements, his reign as X-Division (Xtreme) Champion. I laughed after watching one of his matches. Not long after that I signed to the same promotion and was no quicker making him the joke that he now plays to being. His 1000 losses? I gave him plenty. Tag Team, Singles, Tables, Hardcore, you name it and I've put his shoulders to the canvas. He's followed me around, wanting all these years to just beat me in a single match.
Sure he's won matches I've been apart of and I'm sure he'll throw that out there but did he pin me? Haha..Strike you can be a "Pillar" in Sally's little group but when that Suicidal Championship comes back to my waist. The Pillar that you represent will be cracked. It will be chipped away by the blades of my sword and your group will have lost some of their step. Lets not even begin to go into the inevitable fire brewing underneath your feet. TJ and Saint will fight, the loser will have a fire started that will slowly simmer and roast. Sally wanting to retain her Championship will not retain friendships she has made because that belt, HER success is more of a worth to her. The whole lot of you aren't FOR the fans, none of you but maybe TJ and Saint can even say you have their support.
Not seeing Kaylyn reenter the room, he is busy staring at and touching the single Pillar next to her Kitchen. She smiles dressed in pajamas and some Big headed Winnie The Pooh Slippers on her feet. Cute as a newborn but would melt any man in the groin just looking at her. She creeps up behind him and covers his eyes with her hands.
Kaylyn James Evans: Guess who? I'll give you a hint, I ALSO think AJP has a sock fetish!
Jason Kash: I'll take beautiful for 500 Hundred please..Am I right?
Kaylyn James Evans: You're such a flirt Jason! Come on, I'll show you to your room. It's 4AM and I am tired!
She yawns as she steps past him and leads him down the short two door hallway. She opens the first door and he enters, her behind him.
Kaylyn James Evans: Until Christmas Chaos, this is your personal space. If you need anything let me know. The bathroom is right next to you alright? Sleep well Jason, I'll see you in the morning..
Jason Kash: Night chick...
She shuts the door as she leaves and Kash listens as her slippers scoot along into a fade from his hearing distance. He opens one of his bags but quickly asks himself a question he had thought about before Kaylyn came up from behind. He asks it almost in a rhetorical manner.
Whats there really to like about you Strike? You're as good at being a fan favorite as Knuckles is at being a Contender in Title matches without me being involved. That's where the fans see the reality of everything. You "Pillars" want change with your success but I've MADE change by being a member of this Promotion, helping people grow so the challenge rises. I've never done things with just myself or my friends in mind. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I'm everywhere, Meltdown, Asylum, PPVs, I'm on fucking Radio Shows and what have you done outside of contribute to yourself Strike? Where is the support from you to the fans? Nowhere to be found and yet you're the one liked?
Come on man, your hype buys you a fan base, might even buy you the females but anyone with common sense sees you as the punk bitch that you are. The punk bitch that I've heard plenty of things from by Christian Kane. How's the knee Strike? Old wounds heal slowly..I'll make sure it takes years to heal come Christmas Chaos. I like to fight, I'm not a man of book smarts or education and don't pretend too and am not regretful of being any different than I am right now. I've beaten your leader, I've been beating bigger names and bigger challenges since the day I stepped foot into this business and in APW.
You are not the biggest threat to me Strike, you are merely another over hyped name that is riding on popularity and luck alone. What change needs to happen is the Pillars of Ego need to be taken apart. Phil Atken has the right idea. Michael Callahan has the right idea and I like neither man. If that means I have to stand on the same side of the ring with Knuckles in order to accomplish that? So be it. I'd align with Anthony Bailey before I let Sally or any of her boob crew dictate the change that occurs on THIS SHOW..Speaking of Johnny Knuckles..Do you want this Dark Match Crap Belt back?
He snatches up the Dark Match belt and tosses it in a fit to the floor. It flops over at the straps and lands with the main piece facing up.
You can have it! The damn thing is cursed and like your career against me, it fits better with you. Mister Dark Match himself, the man who has turned down Championships because you wanted an alliance with me. Heh, you are all bricks upstairs aren't you Knucks? Yet since we've been around APW you've done nothing but take my ideas, reuse my material like the Action Figures, remember that bit? Yeah, you can't help but to take what I've used to find success and try it for yourself. I know it's because nothing else has worked but damn! You go through midgets to TV set matches that are laughed at instead of remembered.
You praise your close call victories, your second place standing, IF THAT but somewhere deep down you and I both know your days as a Champion are only that in which you've created yourself. And I STILL took that shit from you! I'm not Chris Kealey, I never will be Chris Kealey because you and I have never been friends. Why can't you understand that? Johnny Knuckles and Jason Kash will never be friends. Not unless something changes, unless you get amnesia and becomes someone different.
Maybe go and steal another identity...Cause that gets so much attention doesn't it? The fact is Knucks, nobody cares if you stole an identity or committed Suicide because you find yourself without a Real Championship for another New Year. You will be forgotten the second you leave the company and they will move on only missing that extra name for people to beat in big matches when someone needs to be put over. Proof of that? Chris Strike. While you've beaten him recently, he was placed in a match that you were suppose to win.
Kash pulls off his shirt and shoves down his baggy jeans and steps out of them. In nothing but his boxer briefs, he steps over to the single mattress bed and jumps on, bouncing a bit before coming to a cozy settle.
That without you complaining about losing it, maybe this match at the PPV would be a singles match between him and myself. Like the first match SHOULD HAVE BEEN..You stuck your nose into my business for the last time my old punching bag. Now I put you down once more, a grand finale to what has been a one sided, 6 year long feud. When anyone who has seen it looks back at our matches, they will not remember anything but the victor and as this comes to an end between us, an end to your career...I will be the one remembered. All because Victory has been on my side between us for so long that why change a good thing now? Go promote Energy Drinks with Donkeys on them.
Go recruit some laughs with Half Pint Brawlers or make another belt. Bring in Sage and pretend anyone cares about either of your identities. All of it has and will continue to fail not because you don't WANT IT but because you aren't good enough to have it, to achieve it. Not against me. Not when it matters and I'm not outside the ring with a pulled hamstring...You wish that would happen twice! The fact is this isn't going to be your night Knuckles. Just like that first encounter wasn't so long ago. History tends to repeat itself, at least when it comes to a sure thing. Beating you has been just that for 6 years and it's time to finish what I started back in TCW. You've lost to many names. Demon Ted Soul, Brad Jackson, did you even lose to Shane Clemmens? Guy was such a dick!
I liked him though and it's because he like me sees people for who they are and not what others want them to be. I love this verbal game because it gets me pumped, wild, marking out on my own match and when that time finally comes....OHHHHH!!! It's an eruption of so many emotions. I CRAVE that moment when your eyes roll into the back of your head and your pulse skips a beat....THAT is your Christmas this year Knuckles...Suicidal comes home around my waist. Strike can't beat me without your help and now I see you both in the same ring. Two birds, one hammer...Mine...The time is coming boys! Being Unleashed with no Rules, no Laws to follow...It's time for me to Untamed, Uncontrolled..
A knock comes quietly on the door and he listens briefly before calling out.
Jason Kash: Yeah?
Kaylyn James Evans: Are you still awake? I thought I heard you talking, is it alright if I come in?
Jason Kash: Of course you can...
Kaylyn comes in creeping as if she is cold. Kash is pretty warm since they got inside the apartment. The heater was clearly on but she was pretending to be cold. Maybe she was, he wasn't going to question it as she shuts the door.
Kaylyn James Evans: I'm kind of cold and feeling lonely all of a sudden. I swear I'm not trying to seduce you!
Jason Kash: Not that I'd mind that! Yeah, come on...
She hurries and plops next to him, up under his arm at his side. Her arms wrapped around his body as he throws the blanket over her. Her skin is fairly cold so he held her with her head to his chest. Sitting up with his back against the head board, Kash runs his fingers through her hair as both of them close their eyes and the camera fades.
