NEW YORK CITY, NY was buzzing with interest earlier this morning after a Meltdown-exclusive Action Packed Wrestling press conference held less than a mile away from Madison Square Garden where the APW MegaStars travel in ten days for their annual Christmas Chaos event.
"We've been thinking about it, and then we decided against it... Then we changed our minds again, and-- well, we couldn't reach a decision until Tuesday," said Sienna Harrison, 26, of APW Meltdown and Overdrive fame.
Hundreds lined up for the change to meet several Action Packed Wrestling Meltdown MegaStars, and every single one of them grew restless as Meltdown General Manager, Mr. Alexander Duvall, 25, and newly-appointed Vice General Manager, Sienna Harrison began to tease the audience and prolong the highly anticipated announcement.
"The Team Title match at Christmas Chaos was originally a triple threat match involving the Dying Breed, the team of Roy Speede and Donald Deruty... And... M&M... ahem. However, Mr. Duvall and I have decided that for the good of the business, we're going to give you guys a little something extra," Sienna told the New York City crowd.
After another few seconds of anticipation, Alexander Duvall-- to a round of boos that surprised even this reporter-- came to center-stage to address what his assistant couldn't:
"The Tag Team Title match at Christmas Chaos will now be a triple-threat tag team falls-count-anywhere ELIMINATION match. Three referees have been appointed to call this once-in-a-lifetime classic, and we promise you guys an amazing start to our pay-per-view. You're welcome."
This reporter followed Duvall and Harrison after the blockbuster announcement that left the crowd just as excited as they were when they entered. When asked if the decision was created to hinder the team of Logan Alexander and Aubrey J. Parker, collectively known as M&M, both Duvall and Harrison refused to comment.
With the sudden revelation, I can only imagine how difficult it could be for these six MegaStars to prepare for such an unpredictable, potentially barbaric match.
Donald Deruty and Logan Alexander will do battle in a North American Championship Five-Pack Challenge bout in the main event of the Meltdown Super Show less than 24 hours before their Tag Team Championship match, while Anthony Bailey will battle alleged 2016 presidential bid hopeful, Michael Callahan, shortly after the tag team bout.
