The scene opens with sleeping Donald, in his normal sleeping attire of shorts and a plain white T-shirt. His eyes are calmly closed as he sleeps softly, with his head placed on his freshly fluffed, feather filled, pillow. He is awoken my the echoing and ringing coming from the alarm clock that sits on its brass legs just a few feet away from the unconscious APW superstar, Donald Deruty. His eyes then shoot open at the sound of the alarm clock's chorus. He reaches over with his arm in an involuntary motion, such as a reflex from the sound, and shuts off the alarm clock from singing any longer.
He pushes the covers to his side and proceeds to set both his feet underneath himself. He makes his way towards the hotel drawers in front of him and changes his clothes. One leg at a time he places his legs in a freshly folded pair of jeans, and puts on black jacket over his white T-shirt. He then proceeds back to his bed where he sits with his elbows on his knees and his hands carefully placed underneath his chin.
Donald Deruty: Once again, I have been beaten by the same man that has been labeled as the new future of Action Packed Wrestling. Although, unlike many of my competitors I don't let a man such as Tuhoa Falo get to my head, and I learn for my mistakes and misfortunes. Which I will use within possibly one of the biggest matches of my Action Packed Wrestling career so far. Of course, I do speak of the Tag Team Tournament finals at non other than Madison Square Garden, in my home state of New York. I will enter that arena, knowing that thousands if not millions of fans of Action Packed Wrestling will be chanting and cheering only one name, and that will be yours truly.
My opponents are seen as once again, the favorites to come out with not only a “W” added to their resume, but the Tag Team Championships as a small token of congratulations from Action Packed Wrestling. As well as, once again we are seen as the Secretariat, the New York Jets in Super Bowl III, the 69' Miracle Mets, and the many other underdogs within sports history, and although my opponents are talented within the four sided circle, the names of “The Silver Lining” and Donald Deruty will be added to that list of greatest upsets in sports history soon enough. Our names will not only be written in APW history, but sports entertainment history as well. “The Silver Lining” and myself will then become the newly crowned Tag Team Champions, and begin to make our mark upon the entire Action Packed Wrestling roster.
Although the feat seems rather rare considering the quality of opponents that will be across the ring come three days before the date of December 25th. As of currently my opponents are viewed upon one of the top twenty five that Action Packed Wrestling has to offer to the professional wrestling universe. Which is quite an accolade within itself. No matter, the history between “The Silver Lining” and myself will once again prevail and we will once again win yet another round within the Tag Team Tournament, only this time we will obtain the Tag Team Championships. Although the road blocks consist of Aubrey Parker, who is seen as a future World Champion and Megastar within the confines of Action Packed Wrestling, and more specifically Asylum. Not only is it just herself, her partner Logan Alexander is also predicted and projected to have a successful future in Action Packed Wrestling. Both of their accomplishments consist of being past or present North American Champions, yet the frightening feeling is that all of those accolades are projected only for their singles division competition, and to be quite honest, those two individuals to become a huge road block between “The Silver Lining” and myself heading towards the Tag Team Championships.
Not only is there the team of Logan and Aubrey, there is also the team of J-Hop and Anthony Bailey, in which they like to proceed to call themselves “The Dying Breed”. Two more individuals that have not only successful futures to come, but they have already make their names in the lights of Action Packed Wrestling with past success and accolades. The competition continues to get tougher and more talented, but I expected no less from the future greats and the already accomplished superstars in Action Packed Wrestling. Our plate is overflowing with the challenges that are awaiting for us to enter through those ring ropes, yet people seem to be overlooking a great aspect that “The Silver Lining” and myself hold together. I speak of all of my opponents past accomplishments and accolades, yet my opponents don't seem to do the same. That clarifies to myself that they are not only afraid of what “The Silver Lining” and myself will accomplish as a tag team, but they are also frightened by what we have already accomplished within our young professional wrestling careers. As they very well should be, our entire careers have been made from that aspect of being seen as the underdogs, and this week seems to be no different. We have been put under the radar many different times, yet we almost always seem to show that we deserve to be placed at the top of their sonars of superstars to watch out for in the near future. We thrive under the pressure of being seen as the underdogs, we live to be thought of as the obvious losers, and this week in the finals of the Tag Team Tournament, seem to resemble no difference.
Donald arises from his bedside and head towards the wooden door at the end of his hotel room. He seems a white envelope carefully placed underneath his oak door and above his freshly requested vacuumed carpet. The envelope is partly opened from the long journey, Donald turns the envelope over to see who sent the written letter to him. The sender is non other than the receiver, Donald Deruty. A small grin falls upon the face of Donald before he tears the seal of the envelope, pulls out the letter and throws the tore and now useless envelope upon the desk standing upon its oak legs just feet from his presence.

Dear Donald Deruty,
Congratulations Mr. Deruty. I felt obligated to send you this congratulatory letter after hearing of your new success in Action Packed Wrestling. After viewing your skills in the ring first hand, I would like to congratulate yourself upon winning the title of Tag Team #1 Contenders. Mr. Speede and yourself went through hell and back to be able to challenge the current and reining Tag Team Champions.
To earn that Tag Team Championship shot, you had to go through the likes of Nick Watson, Evan Envi, Johnny Knuckles and your debut opponents the Sons of the South. As you already know, there is no limit in which you can achieve here in the APW. Crawling yourself to the top of Overdrive and capturing the Undisputed Championship, or establishing yourself as a megastar in Asylum and capturing the World Heavyweight Championship. The options are endless. Continue within the tag team division, or move on to singles competition. No matter the choices you make, I know that it will be with the best interest of yourself and your career.
From Your #1 Fan,
Donald Deruty

After looking at the letter sent weeks ago, another small smirk crawls upon the skin of Donald Deruty. He then goes towards the oak desk in which the torn envelope lays motionless. He reaches for the closest drawer of the desk that he can reach with the grasp of his right hand. Pulling the drawer out to find two more Christmas cards that he had purchased in his time in the Hallmark store in Hartford. As well he pulls out the black pen that matches the ink on the letter in which he just received. He licks the tip of the link and scribbles on the television guide to ensure that it will still write.
He then reaches for the first of two Christmas cards that lay upon the top of his desk. He draws it closer to him as he proceeds to place the black ink tip of the pen onto the surface of the first card of many.

Dear Jair Hopkins and Anthony Bailey,
I would like to courageously congratulate yourselves in making it to the finals of the Tag Team Tournament that will take place at the event that even Santa Clause fears to eat the milk and cookies, Christmas Chaos. It was a huge feat to defeat the team of Yarmouth, and McDonald, as well as the new tag team that call themselves the Sons of the South. Such congratulations is in order and would like to be one of the first individuals to wish and hope that your holiday season will be festive.
Now as every well put together Christmas card I would like to inform you what “The Silver Lining” and myself have been up to these past couple of holiday season weeks. We are doing just fine, better than fine actually. If you haven't already heard from our colleges we have also made it to the Tag Team Tournament finals at Christmas Chaos, I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't because we seem to only be a whisper in the wind. This year has been treating us well here in Action Packed Wrestling, we not only was signed to a contract, but we have been put with huge opportunities and have been taking advantage of every one of them. We were put with the challenge of defeating the current Xtreme Champion Nick Watson, but also we were put to the task of defeating Mr. 2013, Evan Envi and his partner in Delikado.
There are so many things for “The Silver Lining” and myself, Donald Deruty, to be thankful for this holiday season, and the accomplishments are still not done for this year of opportunitiy for “The Silver Lining” and myself. I wish you both a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, as well as may your wish come true once the year 2013 begins its course.
Yours truly, one half of the new Tag Team Champions,
Donald Deruty

Donald rests his hands for a moment before overlooking his newly written Christmas card for any errors in spelling or grammar. He seems pleased with the letter written upon the card and closes the card in half before placing it in a white envelope, licking the seal, and closing it tight. He then once again reaches for the next card closest to him and opens it up, once again placing the tip of the pen to the white canvas of the card.

Dear Aubrey Parker and Logan Alexander,
When I think of your two names only one phrase comes to my mind, future Hall of Famers. You two individuals have a bright and successful future awaiting yourselves in Action Packed Wrestling. Your yearly accomplishments for 2012 have been at a caliber that I could only imagine could be possible in such a short amount of time. Yet you two have proven yourselves and your greatness here within Action Packed Wrestling.
I would like to congratulate yourselves on such an amazing 2012 accomplishments, and let there be many more in your future within 2013. As you may know that “The Silver Lining” and myself has had a rather impressive ending to our 2012 year, defeating current and past champions, and luckily for ourselves the list only grows. “The Silver Lining” and myself wish both of you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, and hope that the both of you end the year of 2012 better than you will on the night of December 23rd. May all your New Year wishes come true, and you start 2013 with a clean and clear plate.
P.S. Logan, I hope this letter has boosted your spirits, and lifted not only weight off your shoulders, but around your waist as well.
Sincerely, your future North American Champion,
Donald Deruty

Donald does the same to the second letter as the first, seals and places upon the top of the first letter written, creating a stack of Christmas cards. He leans back in the chair in which is he is sitting in front of the desk. Places his hands behind his head, and looks at the wall in front of him a grin upon his face.
Donald Deruty: I hope that all of my fans here in my home state of New York, buy your newly acquired Donald Deruty T-shirts and memorabilia. Create the most stunning Donald Deruty signs and show up at Madison Square Garden to witness a wondrous event. Even though we are the opening match, we will indeed steal the show. I hope that you all will be on the edge of your seats awaiting what the result will be not only between those four turnbuckles, but all around the arena.
I wish all of you a Happy Holidays, not just the fans that will be sitting front row in spitting distance, or the fans that are at the top of the stadium getting altitude sickness, but the fans sitting at home watching the event from the safeness and security of your homes. I also wish my opponents Aubrey Parker, Logan Alexander, Jair Hopkins, and Anthony Bailey that they get everything they wanted for Christmas. Everything from underneath their plastic and fold able Christmas tree, to the stocking handing from their fire place. I don't know what you all put on your wish list to Santa this year, but I do know that Christmas will come a few days early for “The Silver Lining” and myself. Two days early, to be exact.
So to all my competitors, make sure that you hang up your stockings this Christmas, because even if you have been bad this year, coal will not be present within your red and white festive socks. Unfortunately coal will not be within the threads of your stockings, but there is no need to worry. Good Ol' Kris Kringle and myself have come up with a substitute to the lack of coal this year, and that one word holds its own meaning in all our hearts. What might be filling your stockings this year you may say? Well I can only say one word to describe it for you, chaos.
Now if you would please excuse me, I have some Christmas cards I must attend to.
The scene goes pitch black with Donald getting up from the chair and walking out the hotel room door and down the hallway towards the first story lobby.
He pushes the covers to his side and proceeds to set both his feet underneath himself. He makes his way towards the hotel drawers in front of him and changes his clothes. One leg at a time he places his legs in a freshly folded pair of jeans, and puts on black jacket over his white T-shirt.
