Not at all what he had in mind. When she asked him to come to a Charity Event, he figured rich folks sitting around pretending their donations mattered somehow. That they were doing a selfless act even though knowing full well they'd claim the donation on their income taxes. It wasn't that at all. Instead it was a food drive. Not the kind where people can get boxes of food but a place where the hungry can come and eat a hot cooked meal. Sit down with others, homeless or the poor and be friendly going into the Holiday Season. Kash found his way to a corner and sat down.
Kaylyn James was serving food and she looked GOOD in her apron. Kash wanted to rush things, get involved but damn sure wasn't going to push it. He didn't want another failed attempt at a real relationship. Not when the last few including his marriage never worked out. He wanted nothing more than to ravage her and the heat of that emotion grew and became something else as he sat in the corner of the lunch room full of people. He felt it being different, felt the heat of his emotions turn into a heat for battle. A battle that MIGHT not even take place...
Jason Kash: Some people say that the world is going to end. That the Mayans had it figured out before man knew the world wasn't flat. They knew the stars, that is clear for anyone who has done some research. But could they know that? Predictions have a funny way of ending up on two sides of a fence. It's either so out there wrong or close enough to mean something. Nastradamus predicted wars or at least close enough to them to where people have given him credit for the prediction. Now I am not one to believe it either way. If the world ends then it ends, I'm not high enough on the payroll to know the world like that. However if it doesn't end, if things continue to move forward for this planet.
Expect My Hand to be Raised. A new year will bring new goals, new names and faces but what it will not bring is a Change. You will not see Chris Strike as a Champion into the New Year. You will not see Knuckles as one either. This is my prediction. See the difference is, I have a hand in making this come true. Making my prediction be more meaningful than a Mayan Calendar. With this prediction I move forward with a smile on my face, knowing my history of the show I'm on, the company I'm exclusive too and the Championship I will regain at Christmas Chaos. But wait, I know Chris Strike is probably too busy with other "obligations" elsewhere but I wanted to give him a rundown of Asylum. A rundown of a history that was carved in part by me and a history that when is all said and done will read that I became a two time Suicidal Champion in the Month of December and the year of 2012.
A few people come over close to him and he eyes them as they sit down to eat their meals. Steam glowing almost as it raises from their trays full of food. Cups of something next to each tray. An apparent couple maybe? He didn't know nor did he care. He adjusted his legs and sits Indian Style as Kaylyn looks up and over at him, waving for him to come and help. He ignores her bat signal of a call.
Jason Kash: Where was I? Ahh..The History!! James Chambers. Rico Casteel. Early days of Asylum even before it became Asylum, when it was still IWC. These two men paved a very narrow path to lead the way for what has become. Asylum was born from their work! Casteel had his way with alot of names including my own but in the end I took the torch and carried it forward. Begging for Asylum to upgrade in talent, BEGGING and Promoting for this brand to see more names on it's roster. When Meltdown came about it was I and I alone who went and promoted Asylum to the rookies or returning names of APW.
Me. Not anyone from Overdrive or Asylum, I was doing that shit from the get go. I helped build the walls that surround the core of what Asylum has become. From the sloppy violence that was IWC and now into a crisp form of Wrestling mixed with Strong Style competition of all forms. None better in this business now. APW is truly the best in the world at showcasing Professional Wrestling and it was MY name not Sally's that did that for Asylum. I mean even coming over from Overdrive, it was more Ehh, so what more than a celebration. Heh...Her name doesn't echo as far as she'd like to think it does. And how if Strike is such a hot commodity, how is he not signed to a Exclusive Deal somewhere? I'm signed to one and for the price listed? I've heard of men getting killed for less...I can't complain, I don't seek the change you seek. You seek self success, all the belts on the Pillars waists and well...Hahaha...You must be high!
There was change when Casteel left and I reigned as World Champion. Talent started coming in, wanting their shot on Asylum. People started transferring from Overdrive and being promoted from Meltdown and things grew...Quickly! Anthony Bailey, Michael Callahan, Jair Hopkins, just to name a few have become names that represent ASYLUM. Now because Sally wins the World Title, because Chris Strike lived up to his early hype, Pillars think they can make changes to their liking, to what they want to see. Like Saint, who since being on Asylum has lost an Elimination Chamber match. TJ has lost not one but TWO TapOut Title Matches and is going into his third and he's a Pillar?
Where are ANY of you in good standing to be making any changes to this show or the next? All of you have no pull to make changes, not when Sally can't defend the World Title without having to assault referees so she remains Champion. Not when Strike is losing his last two matches..And people say I've slacked off? Where is there a winner on this Pillar Team other then the ONE match where two of you became Champions? Where is the work? The hardest working is those who reap the benefits of long term success and you SURE in the hell won't get the change you want. Not this Asylum, not the Asylum I've helped CARRY since I became a Champion and representative of this show.
On his feet he feels a stretch coming and lets it go. Reaching up like he's trying to touch the sky, every muscle in his arms, legs, and other places flex and tense up before relaxing again. He steps over to the table closest to him, one away from where the couple are sitting. He props up his shoe and begins to tie it.
Jason Kash: You are ALL welcome to be members of this show, even a Champion if you can achieve it but don't over step the line in the sand. Reginald runs it, I among others help mold it. Not just Pillars, not just those in the "Buddy System" of Sally Talfourd. Strike, you think sitting on Twitter, talking shit and yet keeping quiet this whole time since the show was announced will keep you as Champion? Go on, keep being the guy who you've been since coming here. Through Kaylyn I've been in touch with Christian Kane and he had alot to say about you. The hatred you two must have is just the education I need to learn you inside out. Your moves, your tails so to speak, what you leave open. The twitch you might have before throwing a punch, the limp in your left leg.
I have studied it all Strike and while Knuckles has proven to be more of a "Threat" than I had originally thought, this match, this outcome rests on my shoulders. This is my match to win, mine to achieve and why? Because neither one of you do the job I do inside or outside the ring. Not for APW, not for Asylum, not for the success of your own career. Hype only carries so far, like a fart in the wind, the smell, the taste, and the excitement over it fades. You too will fade Strike and it's only going to happen because this match will make the first CRACK in your Pillar....
Johnny Knuckles. Where has the time gone? Six long years we've been battling, being friends, being at each other's throats. Yet here we are again. Remember back at Rasslemania last year? When I beat you on the BIGGEST stage this company has? Remember what you said then? I was your Holy Grail. Beating me would be the brightest thing in your career, you remember that? Seems so long ago but it wasn't. See things haven't changed much since then. You're still a joke and I'm still better than you. Plain and simple. I've not needed to end your career because up until this point, I've enjoyed watching you sink on your own. But still, you will fill the screen with pictures and funny little metaphors to pick at Strike and I for this match, I'm sure you will because that's WHO YOU HAVE BECOME....
His loud speaking voice startles a few people. He climbs up onto the table and stands tall to where everyone can't help but see him. He stands out worse than a sore thumb on top of the table. People have stopped eating, some take a sip from their cups as they turn their attention to Kash and he just continues like nobody else is there.
Jason Kash: Knuckles, you've become a broken down shell of what you once thought you were. You once thought of yourself as an Innovator of Violence, of extreme nature and while the Suicidal Championship might be your World Title, it is my reward for eliminating the two men who stand inside the ring with me. In a season of giving, I'm only handing out UTIs and Marks of Jason and BOTH your stockings are full! Knuckles it's sad really because you don't see it. You can't see that you've become a waste of air time, a parody of this business. A watered down Hardcore Wrestler who is essentially the disappointment of having Head Shots being banned in place of Body Shots. You are THAT form of violence now, you'd rather get people laughing at your puns then waking up from your actions. Well here in APW, here on Asylum? Your actions come out speaking volumes! This is a world you've never had success in and yet you still find yourself with hope.
You know how much I love hope don't you!? Gee golly I do love it so! Makes my victory, makes your defeat...Taste so much BETTER!! The fact is you're not being "Passed over" Knuckles, you are being BEATEN in matches that matter. Those little victories over Strike, over Allioth Starre even, all small victories of zero to no importance. YOU are the one who puts more value to them when others make a brief mention of it. It's speaks louder to you that you did it on a small stage and still can't do it on one that matters. Like Mike said, you're the Gate Keeper Knuckles. You're the chump that new signings compete with when they get their first few matches. That means bottom of the barrel and it's EXACTLY where you belong and where your body will be found...
A few people hurry and leave as the mention of a body being found is said. Kash grins and watches them leave before locking eyes with an angry looking KJE. Still standing behind the counter with her apron on, she looks ready to leave her own bodies laying. Kash waves like a complete dork and carries on with what he was saying. Some people who might recognize him get closer to hear his words, like a gospel from god they sit around him as the flow begins to flow.
Jason Kash: A camera man people, a GOD DAMN CAMERA MAN just motivated him on HIS own promo! Srrious Knucks? You lack the tools, the heart, the drive to beat me much less win this match. Maybe you had them before, maybe I stole them from you when I first put your shoulders to the canvas. Maybe it's just time to end this boring career of yours and maybe you can get into bakery....No, that'd mean you working with numbers and I've seen you work with writing. Ouch. Caveman no Educated. Argghh! Oh hey look, a piece of candy! You fucking retard! I'll go back to Denny's if you at least PRETEND to be something more than a Circus show and Cartoon Network Reject...Deal?
Oh look I've got Home field Advantage, I watch sports and knows what that means! Yay me, people will like me FINALLY because I'm from New York! Will they help you compete? Will they throw you that touchdown pass? No? Then who fucking cares!? Their cheering, booing, all of it is to show their interest in a match or person. They might dislike me at times but when I fight, they're entertained. You've lost 100 times and how many of those came from me? Think about it, no don't because you might hurt yourself without a parody to go with. Just know I'm some kind of wonderful and you're just two kinds of dumb if you think you can win this match Knuckle Fucker. Chris Strike thinks he can, that's clear as day and he hasn't even whispered a word yet. Probably wants the final say like any other time he's "appeared" for an APW show. Fact is...My Hand Will RISE!!! It will rise as I stand above you both with victory, with the road block to "Change" being prevented and with the APW Suicidal Championship around my waist...My Hand Will Rise....
Arm raised in the open space above him, his voice goes cold as he KJE storms from around the food counters and heads towards him. He climbs down off the table with a smile on his face. Probably knowing that he'll be in trouble with her. She motions with a single finger for him to follow her and she spins around and begins to walk away from everyone. As they reach the door and with everyone still watching, Kash grabs her from behind and turns her around at the door entrance. His eyes slowly look up and hers follow and suddenly look surprised.
Kaylyn James Evans: Is that...a mistletoe?
Jason Kash: Come here baby, let's suck face! Put your tongue between my gap!!
Kash leans in and KJE throws up an open palm uppercut that knocks him backwards. She is smiling but tries to keep herself mad at Kash as he lets his tongue hang out his mouth, his eyes water up a bit.
Jason Kash: Awwah..I thenk I beeit my tongue!
Kaylyn James Evans: Ugh, remind me why I invited you again?
Kaylyn James was serving food and she looked GOOD in her apron. Kash wanted to rush things, get involved but damn sure wasn't going to push it.
