The scene opens up with the sound of a cool winters breeze through out the boom of the audio. Although there seems to be no snow nor falling snow upon the warm post apocalyptic ground. A huge city street, buzzing with the talk of pedestrians and civilians walking upon the freshly paved concrete of the sidewalk. Many casual dressed men and women going their separate ways to their respected places of week and some possibly doing some last minute Christmas shopping. Upon the distance of the side walk, palm trees can be seen, as well as a long and everlasting sea of the Atlantic.
Although with the beautiful atmosphere and scenery there seems to be one individual that is the focus of not only the beautiful Atlantic, but the sea of walking people as well. A casual Donald Deruty wearing a nice light blue polo and a pair of dark blue jeans walking with the current of the sea of individuals upon the sidewalk. Donald and the rest of the river of civilians seem to be in perfect sync together, foot after foot, taking their steps to their respected places and destinations.
Donald Deruty: Once again “The Silver Lining” and myself are getting the respect that I did not expect to receive. My opponents are once again statementing that we have done nothing within our short career not only as a tag team but in Action Packed Wrestling itself. Of course this is no surprise to myself, as I expected such behavior and hotheadedness from my competitors upon this match of epic proportions. Men and women that have had past history in Action Packed Wrestling, and successful at that. Although, they don't have much respect for the newcomers upon this event at Christmas Chaos. I don't think that the individuals that will be on the other side of the ring come this Sunday understand that we are two of the three individuals still upon the roster of Meltdown to be in a match upon Christmas Chaos, in which the roster was banished from making an appearance within the last Pay Per View of the young year of 2012. The other individual being Logan Alexander of course, who I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed upon Meltdown the rest of his career upon his choice of words before the management and the direct choices of actions that he has made upon his start here in Action Packed Wrestling.
Nor does my opponents understand the type of caliber that this match holds within itself and its competitors. This match of epic proportions was an exhilarating match before the stipulations changed upon the elimination aspect added to the match itself. “The Silver Lining” and myself have apparently not made our voices heard from the rosters of Asylum and Overdrive, because we continue to be over looked in every match that we have entered. No matter the abilities that we hold and control, we are over looked as just the newcomers that have made an impressive run. Respect has been given, but the respect has not be re-paid to “The Silver Lining” and myself. Now with the current lack of congratulations and respect given doesn't mean that the mind set of “The Silver Lining” and myself's have changed upon the slightest bit. We are still going to walk between those rope and show the population of New York and the capacity crowd of Madison Square Garden what we are made of, and why we deserve the respect that is not being received nor transmitted to the team of “The Silver Lining” and yours truly.
Although this match is just the opening match to a very eventful evening doesn't mean that this match isn't going to be a sleeper in all means. The quality of the match continues to grow as the stipulations continue to max to its full potential. Upon the night of the 23rd of December so much impressive talent will walk down that same ramp and upon those steel steps into the same ring of the night, and in no order will the matches be able to be put into by quality. Every match will have a certain quality of excitement and amazement to a.. the fans within the stands of Madison Square, the individuals that paid money to watch the event live on national television, the individuals watching the live streaming of the event enduring all the pop up adds that come along with keeping that fifty dollars warm inside their wallets, and even the competitors within that four sided circle of the night of December 23rd. The possibilities and potential of this night is never ending from the opening match to the main event of the night. Fans around the world will be jumping up from their seats in Madison Square, or the couches of their respected homes. It is an honor to be one of the three Meltdown roster members to be apart of this Pay Per View, yet we are still over looked upon the professional wrestling community. While the names of Evan Envi, Kurt Noble, and Chris Hart are being thrown around as the best in the business and the men to watch out for in the new year of 2013, yet there is no mention of the names Roy Speede and Donald Deruty, yet just a few weeks ago one of those three soon to be “main eventers” were defeated by the hands of “The Silver Lining” and yours truly. Is that the kind of respect and acknowledgment that any individual would like to be given? Of course not, and sadly that is all we are given, just a name on a card, we don't have articles written about our rise to stardom in the new year of 2013. Although no matter, it seems that “The Silver Lining” and myself will have to write our own articles of future stardom in the heads of the Asylum and Overdrive roster, because it seems no one else seems to be receiving the message that we have already sent to the entire Action Packed Wrestling company. Although all grudges aside, the opening match at Christmas Chaos will be far from just an opening match, it will be more like a main event within itself, and “The Silver Lining” and myself will start our fresh and soon to be successful careers 1-0 in Pay Per View action.
Donald continues to be walking down the street, almost hidden upon the river of the individuals walking with Donald. Although Donald takes a detour and turns towards a huge dome that has not a singles soul nor car within its parking lot. Donald walks up to the everlasting building and walks towards the glass window in which tickets for events are sold. Only one individual is seen within one of the many glass windows and Donald makes his way towards that solo individual.
Donald Deruty: Hello sir, my name is Mr. Deruty and I was wondering if I could please be let into this historic place of sports?
Ticket Dispenser: I am sorry, but I don't think I can allow anyone into the building at this time. Maybe if you come back another time I could allow you into the building.
Donald Deruty: I only need a few minutes sir. I will cause no problems, you have my word of that.
The young man behind the glass begins to think hard, and it is obviously noticeable by the look upon his wrinkle free face. After a moment of thinking the young man walks away from the window and exits the booth from the back entrance. Donald continues to stand there, refusing to leave without entering the stadium.
From the left of Donald is the sound of a door opening with the young man holding open the door for Mr. Deruty. Donald begins to make his presence to the door and enters the building. He is then escorted from the entrance to a ramp. Step by step he ascends down that ramp to be able to lay his eyes upon a huge green football field that sits before him in the darkness, before the young man flips the switch upon the field, scaring away all the darkness from the beauty of the turf. After moments of walking down the ramp Donald finally reaches the north side end zone, as well is greeted by the young man yet again.
Ticket Dispenser: Here you are sir, I am not suppose to let anyone in here but just say this is your lucky day. I won't say anything if you don't.
Donald just smirks at the young man for a moment before a chuckle comes from him.
Donald Deruty: Thank you sir, I really appreciate this. May I be left alone to just soak in this moment to my memory?
Ticket Dispenser: Of course sir, although I must keep an eye on you I will be up the ramp.
Donald knods before continuing to walk towards the middle of the football field his eyes observing the huge stadium and multiple seats that sit in front of him. After moments of looking around the field and observing the texture of the turf Donald then places his hands in his jean pockets and just stands there looking upon the thousands of seats bolted to the concrete of the stadium.
Donald Deruty: In this stadium that holds thousands and thousands of individuals is where the historic Super Bowl III was held. A low scoring football game that was one of the hugest upsets in the world of professional sports history. On this very field in Miami, the New York Jets, over came all of the challenges that were in front of them and became the first ever AFL team to win the championship known as the Super Bowl trophy. And after this week, that will not be the only upset team that was born in the great state of New York.
“The Silver Lining” and myself have proved in the ring that we deserve to get this shot at the Tag Team Championships, and now it is only the matter of us being able to accomplish what we started and claim the Tag Team Championships around our waists. Although we have not just Baltimore Colts team in our way, but we have two. Of course I speak of the teams of both “The Dying Breed” and “M&M”. Two teams that have been made the huge favorites in this battle for the Tag Team Championships. “The Silver Lining” and yours truly are seen as nothing but a child's story such as the little engine that could. We are seen as the Cinderella story team that had a good run, but came up a little short, just like the New York Jets did in the year of 1969. Although we are seen as the pre-determined losers on paper but when that bell rings to end the match, after the final elimination has been made, we will not only be handed the Super Bowl trophy, but the Most Valuable Player awards as well.
On the night of the 23rd we are not going to be competing like our opponents the Baltimore Colts, we are going to have a night of amazing proportions, we are going to become the Joe Namaths just like in that Super Bowl III game that took place in this very stadium. “The Silver Lining” and myself are always look at the underdog, the ones that cant win the big one, week after week. Although this week it is time to prove that we are indeed championship material and that our Baltimore Colts are in the presence of the newly crowned Tag Team Champions. You see there is so many different things that could go wrong in this match, such as throwing an interception or fumbling of the snap, but there is so many different things that could go right such as making that game winning touchdown pass, or having the night of our life, and that is indeed what “The Silver Lining” and Donald Deruty are going to do, have the time of our life in that four sided circle. We are Tag Team Championship material and it is time that we get some around our waists.
When the ringing of that bell sounds, those Super Bowl trophies will be lifted in the air by yours truly and “The Silver Lining”. At the end of Christmas Chaos the Tag Team Championships will be heading back home to the state of New York, just like the Super Bowl trophy did in the year of 69'. Maybe after this event at Christmas Chaos will result with some respect headed towards “The Silver Lining” and myself, respect that should have been granted weeks ago. No matter the challenge that stands in our way, we will do what ever we can in our power to leave Christmas Chaos with that APW Super Bowl Championship in our hands at the end of the night.
The New York Jets created history with their 16-9 win against the Baltimore Colts in 1969. And it is time for gold to return back home to New York. “The Silver Lining” and myself are the 69' New York Jets, we are Joe Namath, and “The Dying Breed” and “M&M” are nothing but the Baltimore Colts. They are the favorites to win, and a blow out at that. Although if history does prove well, they were not the winners of the third Super Bowl in history, and this years Super Bowl on the 23rd of December will be a re-run of Super Bowl III.
Donald is interrupted by the young man in the middle of the field. He takes a step on the fifty yard line and taps Donald on the shoulder.
Ticket Dispenser: Sir, I am sorry but it is time to leave. I have allowed you enough time.
A smile comes across the face of Donald before he responds to the humble young man.
Donald Deruty: Of course, I understand.
They both start to walk up the ramp, to the exit of the dome.
Donald Deruty: Madison Square Garden is the destination for Super Bowl III this year, and the outcome will be no different from Miami. Much like the Jets, “The Silver Lining” and myself will be returning home with the Tag Team Championships within our grasps. The Dying Breed can't stop us and neither can M&M, not even the Baltimore Colts could stop us from leaving that four sided circle with gold around our waist. Christmas Chaos, will be more than just a festive time for “The Silver Lining” and myself. We wont just be leaving Christmas Chaos with smiles on our faces, but with gold around our waists as well.
The scene ends as Donald leaves the dome in the coastal city of Miami.
Although with the beautiful atmosphere and scenery there seems to be one individual that is the focus of not only the beautiful Atlantic, but the sea of walking people as well.
