...I'm not sure...but I'm pretty sure Phil is pumped over the results...
Fantastic show guys and gals, across the board. I went back and re-read all of the roleplays for this bad boy yesterday and I cannot stress how amazed I am at the level of talent in this fed right now. Everyone worked their butts off on this show and whether you roleplayed, wrote a match or submitted a segment (or all 3!) everyone deserves a pat on the back for the work they put in.
Favorite Match: I'm actually going to give this nod to Marvin vs Biggs. Holy Hell what a match, and its too bad the end of the year award submissions are closed because this one would definitely merit consideration. Loved the hype video and graphics beforehand, it created this big fight atmosphere that only APW can bring. The amount of near pinfalls in this one made it so exciting to read...and I really enjoyed the standing 10 count spot towards the end, added a lot of drama to an already incredible match. Well done!
Favorite Segment: I am such a huge fan already of the blossoming feud between A.C. Smith vs Lively. Two great characters that cannot possibly be any more different from one another. That segment added a lot of fuel to the fire, can't wait to see these two mix it up.
Thoughts on the Video: Amazing. Stupendous. Love the intro video, I hope everyone played it all the way through and rocked out hard to TSO. These videos are fantastic at hyping up shows or big matches and are greatly appreciated considering how hard they must be to put together.
Biggest Surprise: None of the results really surprised me considering how talented everyone here is. However, I will add a category to this feedback just so I can talk about...
Biggest Mark Out Moment: Atken Mania running wild! I've only been here a few months but I absolutely love both the Talfourd and Atken characters so I was really looking forward to this one. Having Atken finally take home the big belt was just an awesome moment.
Also as a side note, I just want to thank Mark Mania for giving me a chance to work with him. It was so much fun and he's a damn fine dude and obviously one hell of an efedder. Thanks again!
All in all, a fantastic card. I actually like that it was more match-centric...a big PPV like this should have limited segments and very little fluffer IMO. Totally lived up to the hype, congrats to all the winners and Happy Holidays to everyone out there!
Except Knuckles.
Okay, Knuckles too.

Christmas Chaos had everything. The segments were stupendous, and the match writing was off the hook. But there is one thing MUCH better than the show itself.....The friggin roleplays. OH MY GOD those were some boss roleplays. I tried to keep up with them as the time went on, but when I was reading them today to do some voting, I was impressed out of my GOURD. You guys are simply AWESOME! That's all I can say about it. There is no other fed anywhere where this level of talent exists from top to bottom. Every time I read a roleplay, I'm amaized! Congrats guys. YOU made Christmas Chaos. FAVORITE MATCH - I'm gonna give this one to Sally and Atken. It was DRAMA high and the build was incredible! But more than that the rps were so close it made my ears hurt. Favorite Segment - Can't really pick just one, but Smith and Lively was good.... also enjoyed the Williams stuff, and the Callahan is always a treat. Pretty sure I made this clear, but the Videos were amazing. I loved the intro and thought the music fit PERFECTLY. But the marvin biggs hype stuff was THE SHIT! I especially like the part where President Jeff hoists Marvin up Biggest Surprise: He's gonna hate me for this, but Atkens running wild has to be the hands down winner. Not that Phil didn't bring top notch stuff, but Sally is one of the BEST ever. It'd be hard to imagine ANYONE beating her. Great Job Everybody.....stellar.

Well I like how Goeren did his feedback so I will jack some of his ideas and slap my own funk to them if I may.
Favorite Match Chris Hart and Noble. The heat in this match has been building for a while now and I've been almost following Overdrive solely for this storyline so maybe it's a bit biased in that sense. You could feel the hatred between them and for me it was icing on the cake. While TMarv and Biggs, this match was a Big Match even without a Title to it.
Favorite Segment I'd have said Evan and Sienna but then I got to AC and Michael. Both are very good segments, I loved the interaction between Evan and Sienna. I'm a big fan of AC Smith though and mixed with Michael Lively? Things could be fun seeing them together in whatever form but competing against one another will be awesome.
Favorite Spot I'm more of a Spot Match Writer and while I usually HATE picking my own things but I really liked the "Mark Of Jason" from the Ring Apron in the Triple Threat. However best spot? Sitdown Piledriver Knuckles hit Kash with from the Top Ropes. Just a solid spot to me and I like original spots which is why I write with spots in mind. Maybe I'm not the best match writer but I enjoy doing spots now and the sitdown piledriver off the top was just sick.
Favorite Win Phil Atken. Kind of obvious here. Dude came from nowhere and to be honest he was kind of under sold in promos. He's an underdog but possibly one of the brightest and intelligent dudes on the roster period. Accent doesn't hurt, kind of makes him awesome! Great night, very good showing by Atken.
Underrated Match Of The Night Tag Team Triple Threat Elimination. Out fucking Standing! Don't feel bad if you didn't win because winning in APW is hard because of the talent. So if the Tag Division can stay healthy and it seems to be plenty around, it could own the shows within time. That should be nominated as a Show Stealer.

I honestly don't think that I've ever seen better pay per view event, in efed history! The hype was perfect, and the show lived up to it.
I'm impressed, I really am.
The show was amazing, and I really think that the hard work paid off, from EVERYBODY!

There was a lot of new champions in this PPV and that's what made the PPV even more special. I think only one of those champions retained his title throughout the whole night.

I have only skimmed the results so far. If I get enough downtime tomorrow I will write up a full review. I just had to say a huge congratulations to Phil Atken. You have always been one of my favourite writers around here and I am so psyched to see you get your due.
Also I have give Jeff huge props for the hype videos. They were both awesome, but the main event hype video was amazing. It gave such a feeling of reality to the feud, and the match itself. Nicely done. I think I will have to revive the Jeff is awesome thread over that one.
Keep up the good work APW. I can honestly say I have never continued following a fed without being involved, but the characters and stories here really keep me engaged.
Hopefully full feedback will follow.

First off, I want to echo the sentiments that those above have mentioned. There are so many great writers from top to bottom in APW that events like these are made that much better because of it. From the RPs I read (admittedly haven't read them all) there has been some top notch stuff which seems to be the theme around APW for PPVs and for weekly shows in general. Awesome to be part of such a place where I am constantly pushed to my limits RP wise by everyone I come up against.
Now onto the show...
-Favorite match was probably Biggs vs. Terry Marvin. The way it was written had a lot of good moments in it, as well as giving both competitors the representation they deserved. Hats off to the writer of that match and to the two men involved in it.
-I don't really have a favorite segment, but I think that's a good thing. The PPV was more match centric, which I believe is how a PPV should be, especially a year ending one. All of the segments submitted were good and did what they needed to do to, but none stood out to me as being 100% better than the rest.
-Video's were top notch. They always are when Jeff puts them together, and they do their job to either open/hype the shows, or hype specific matches. Definitely enjoyed watching the Christmas Chaos videos.
-I don't want to say it's the biggest surprise, because he's written so well, but Phil Atken winning was definitely a mark out moment. If you would have told me back in the early months of the year that Atken would be the World champion by the end of the year, I don't know if I would have believed it. But through that time Atken has done such a great job at building his character, that this win was definitely well earned. Really looking forward to seeing Atken the champion in the new year.
-Overall, I enjoyed the show. There were lots of good matches that definitely helped to make Christmas Chaos as awesome as it was. I do hope that the tag team scene continues to grow and this isn't just one of those moments where the tag team titles are hotly contested over only to fizzle out (I think there's been one point each year I've been here where this happens lol).
Hats off to everyone in APW for putting out those awesome RPs and helping to make Christmas Chaos, and APW, a success. I don't think there could have been a better way to end the year then with this show.

I dislike this specific feedback format for shows sometimes. It leaves a lot of room for things to get left out and for people to simply skim results and repeat what everyone else has said...I'll give the show a full review in an hour or so. ;D

Christmas Chaos 2012 Opening match was everything an opening match should be. It had drama, surprises, and surprisingly a lot of decent wrestling for such a gimmicky match. There was some interference but each time it made complete sense, and it only added to the intrigue of the match. At the end of the day, the best team won, so congrats Bailey and J-Hop. I loved your RPs and hopefully we can work together on Asylum. The Michael Callahan segment was great. I feel that every character has a voice that I can easily replay in my mind and it's nice when you can find writers like that. The Envi and Sienna segment came after, and I love that there was continuity from the Meltdown Supershow from the night before. Another solid segment that I think did a lot for both Envi and the GMs of Meltdown. And finally, there was the Dark Match Title segment which I enjoyed the entire way through. Good work from everybody involved. Roy Speede's portion of the segment was especially hilarious lol. Evan Envi vs John Dionysus was a spectacular match that'll probably get over-shadowed here because all the matches were great. It wasn't anything over the top but it told a pretty good story if youve been able to follow the feud... shame Jules couldn't get a JD roleplay posted. The Atken/Kash/KJE promo came after and normally the toilet humor isn't too funny to me but I did laugh as the whole "nuts" tirade Kash and KJE went on. Atken is a great character, and seeing him interact with Kash really shows the contrast between personalities but it worked. I was rooting for WDW and TJ in the Tap Out Title Gauntlet match. I was pulling for William (gotta love the underdog) but I was happy to see TJ walk away with this one. I got to read all the RPs for this and I was almost surprised to see Julius walk away without the championship but if there was anybody that was going to give him a run for his money in that department, it was TJ. Congrats. Keaton Saint is also a character that's a lot of fun to watch so it's interesting to see where the 4 Pillars are after CC... The Biggs segment was the first one I saw that actually got me invested in a match on the card, so although it didn't stand out, it's been one of the most meaningful ones in relation to CC so far. I also enjoyed the write-up between Chase and Harvey before the OD Title match. I haven't followed much of Mania or Goeren but the match itself was awesome so congrats to both men for being involved with that and thumbs up to the writer! (Imhappymaniawonbecauseilikecolinferrell) After that was the seg between the Smooth One and DB...and I'll admit, I think this one could've very easily been saved for an episode of Asylum but it wasn't exactly out of place. It worked and didn't seem awkward since there weren't a huge amount of segs this PPV. Truly epic match between AB and Michael Callahan. I loved every moment of it and with the way things were written, I started expecting AB to take it at the end. Congrats to Callahan. The match between Hart and Noble was great as well. I feel that it kind of hurt it coming right after such a fantastic match, but Noble vs. Hart told a story that a lot of people in efedding can only dream to tell. I learned a lot... for example, I didn't know their history dated back over four years. It was a fun read and congrats to Hart for a huge win. The triple threat match came right after and I don't have too much I can say about it.. Jason Kash deserved to win and got the win in yet another great match that would've gotten more attention if it hadn't been where it was on the card. It had to follow not one, but two great matches. Being a title match saved it though... either way it was another fun and refreshing read. Congrats to JKash for doing something I havent seen often in APW by regaining his championship. I wish more would've come from Chris Strike's title reign but it led to a hell of a feud. I love A.C. Smith and everything involved. This man is hella interesting when you give him a proper feud so I'm excited to see where this Lively stuff goes, especially if the Sons of the South get involved since they had some issues the night before. The segment did feel kind of out of place, but I don't care, because it was good enough to earn a spot on the show. It got me hyped for Overdrive which is important since it's going over a month without having a show. Gates vs Level One was good. I'm not sure what it was.... but something felt like it was missing. I'm not disappointed with the match by any means but I feel like I was expecting something that didn't quite happen, and that I can't quite explain. As much as I love the Level One character, I'm ecstatic that CJ won. When I first started lurking here, CJ Gates was the person on top so I get a somewhat nostalgic feeling to see him win big matches. What can I say about the World Title match? PHIL ATKEN! I loved both of their RPs and are one of the few match pairings this week that I read all of their work.. Atken deserved this win and in-character it was in spectacular fashion. Being the underdog and winning the APW World Heavyweight Title by submission? To say this is a "push" is lame. This is a shove... but completely warranted. I look forward to seeing this reign play out. Yes. "I am ready." I NEED IT. Let me take this time to say how amazing the videos for CC were... And the main event didn't disappoint. It was crazy. I honestly didn't care that much about the Undisputed Title match until I watched the ype video literally like an hour ago. It made me excited to get back home (from last minute procrastination/Xmas shopping) and read the match. See, I don't know what to say about things like this that haven't been said already. It was so much better than anything I could write and it made me a bigger Biggs mark than I already am. Congrats to TMarv though. Hell of a win. Great PPV. I'm not sure if it was better than ONiH or not but it was definitely fun to read. Everybody did a great job. It's events like this that remind me how lucky I am to work with so many creative people just for kicks. Happy holidays!!

As with all the people I've worked closely with before or those I helped sway into coming to APW, I give them free reign to use my character in segments without permission. I kind of take that the same in return. So I used Speede and it was last minute so I never hit him up but because we cool like that and have that between us, I felt I used his character well.
The Atken/Kash/KJE segment was weird cause it's hard sometimes writing for a character so different from my own. Atken has his own weird to him but still has a Class Kash could never have. But he liked it and didn't change a thing which surprised me cause when I usually have the time, I send segments to people for their input or edits so props and thanks to him to saying I didn't screw it up. Awesome feedback though AJP, thanks.

A lot's been said already for the event, but I'll toss in my thoughts as well...and not because Jeff is making me. Of course not. Loved the intro video. APW's intros kind of always have a surreal feeling to them, opposed to a real actiony tone that you might expect. They're always pleasant surprises, and seeing Eckhart in them just makes me giddy, ha. Felt bad for Far after the Tap Out title match, ha. I think the ending might have come a bit abruptly after everything between them, but Jules still looked strong, having gone through three matches. Favorite match of mine thus far. I think some of the earlier segments could have been spread out, but it isn't a huge deal. I think this show had a solid amount of segments, and not too many to the point that they were crowding the show. Loved the tension in Noble/Hart, and I felt that it captured Noble's new aggressive attitude quite well. I meant to do a segment for the show, but having traveled the day before, and of the show, that was difficult, ha. Lively's segment was particularly amusing, and I'm glad to see him back in action. CJ really was on his game for this one, and I'm glad he pulled it out. Can't wait for CJ vs. Marvin. I can't say I share the exact same surprise as everyone about Atken, ha. I really think he hit a humorous, yet lethal level about 2-3 months ago, and hasn't come down since; the kind of level where you don't ask "if" this person is going to be world champ, but "when." Really, congrats bud on the awesome success! Think I know what the "R U Ready" symbol is for, but I'll hold my tongue, ha. Psh. why does the ME get a fancy banner and video. I appreciate the lightning fast pace of the ME, especially considering my zilch attention span. Great match to end. Glad to see the landscape of APW change so much with all the new Champs. I think this was a fantastic show that'll help set the layout for a new year. Hoping for a fresh start myself, and this show definitely gave me something to work with. Great way to show all the effort this fed has put into for 2012, and can't wait for 2013!

I am not ready to give full feedback yet but I just want to say Congratulations, CJ! You definitely brought it and I think in the end the right man won. Time flew by in our feud, we built a fun story and I'm sure we'll do it again sometime.
Sucks to drop the ball now considering the circumstances but hey, I guess I'll take it as a lesson on preparation to learn from. I'm just glad I was able to get that second one up to give CJ a run for his money... BIG MONEY.
