After the brutal Overdrive Title Match at Christmas Chaos, we here at APWNews.com can now confirm that Azrael Goeren was immediately taken to the Bellevue Hospital Center in Manhattan for the treatment of injuries he sustained against Mark Mania.
At first refusing medical aid and demanding to be taken back to Madison Square Garden, Azrael apparently relinquished to doctor's demands and allowed himself to be treated. Rumors that he only agreed to be treated in order to get access to a morphine prescription cannot be confirmed at this time.
Early reports are that Azrael suffered a broken nose and orbital bone damage around his right eye along with various other cuts and bruises.
APWNews.com has managed to obtain a photograph of Azrael Goeren that was taken by a fan at the hospital shortly before Azrael was scheduled to go into surgery to have his nose realigned.

Apparently Mr. Goeren was not pleased with having his picture taken as we have just received word that the fan is also being treated at the same hospital for a bruised sternum.
Finally, its being reported that Azrael has demanded air time on the next Overdrive show for a "big announcement". What this could possibly relate to is not known at this time but we'll pass along any information we receive as soon as we get it.
