The scene starts with APW’s hottest young star, many have heard rumors but no one has yet seen him wrestle. He is training in an empty gym, the tape shows him on various apparatus in slow motion as he begins he narrates over the promo.
The rumors say he is unlike anything this company has witnessed - some say he is inhuman he knows no limit; that he is in fact a machine. If I were to describe myself though then (pauses) I’d have to completely agree, let me explain…..
There is silence as the volume comes through from the video, his grunts and jeers can be heard as he accelerates his way through an incredible amount of bench presses. It zooms in on his face showing the emotion and determined expression he displays. The video continues as he again narrates over it.
Here stands the greatest athlete, here stands an icon in the making……Here stands the man that will change the face of wrestling. You know why? There isn’t one answer for this question – Im strong, hard working, smart, but most importantly…. I don’t give a fuck about anyone or anything. I make my own rules as I break everyone else’s along the way. I show no weakness no mercy no compassion for anybody! This is what makes me thee very best. Anyone want to doubt me or talk shit about me….Fine just make sure your pussy ass can back you up in the ring because I take no prisoners.

As the snow beats down on his face he takes a good look around before beginning to wander down the dead street as he reminisces in his narration. The video is in black and white and there is a dark feel about it.

I had to learn quickly out here on the streets life’s what you make of it…… To survive you’ve got to stand your ground and be a man! It’s a dog eat dog world out there, no gold spoon was ever involved in my childhood all I ever had was what I went out and got. Sometimes I’d steal, others I’d just beat up on someone take their wallet….I always justified it with the thought ‘I need it more than they do’ and yes half the time this was true but still what could I do?
He now has reached a small run-down community center he turns and sees a glimmer of light leaking through the door. As he walks towards it he smiles in joy, he pushes the door open and there is a small, l but busy gym full of many young men both black and white. There is now color in the video as the mood changes to a happy one.
This place…….I love it! I would even call it my savior in some ways. Without it I’d either be locked up or just another statistic in a police file. You see this changed my perception on life, that not everything violent is necessarily bad, but rather you must channel your aggression and drive to fight in a positive way. This is where I was introduced to wrestling nearly 8 years ago now, as soon as I started I was automatically well received it was the first family I ever knew. I fitted in somewhere for the first time; not only that I enjoyed it too without saying I was a natural. It wasn’t easy to get my big break here at APW I had to wrestle night in night out just to raise enough cash to leave the streets, and come over to Hollywood and learn the trade. Once I got acquainted with Jerry Lawler he knew talent when he saw it which is why we trained together to get me ready.
The video now shows Jason stood just outside of a big arena, he is wearing the same clothes he has been during the tape (tracksuit pants & AWP t-shirt) the mood now turns to one of great excitement with on over welling feel of achievement. He continues to talk in a much happier & lightened tone.
Now I have reached my dream! A chance here in this great company, so why the fuck would I let some egotistical bastard with an attitude try and take away what I have worked so hard for? I owe everything to wrestling; I intend to pay the sport back with wrestling of the likes nobody has ever seen, championship after championship until Im at the top of the lot! Anybody I cross in my path will felt he full force of ‘The Sensation’ something that has no comparison to any other punishment that can be dealt someone! So her I’AM! What a journey….What a story….What an icon!
