A recap video of the ending of Last Week’s Overdrive is shown with Doctor Phate telling Sabur that he’ll be facing him at November Reign for the APW World Title.
Pyro shoots from the stage as the camera goes through the crowd and then goes to tonight’s commentators
Harvey: Welcome to Overdrive folks. We are just 6 days away from November Reign.
Chase: We know that Sabur will defend his title against Doctor Phate this Sunday, but those two guys aren’t here tonight, but they will be at Meltdown tomorrow night, so be sure to check that out.
Harvey: A Huge main event we have tonight. A legends match. President Jeff takes on Twister.
Chase: These two aren’t strangers to each other. The last time they fought was over five years ago. It’s going to be an exciting match.
Harvey: We also have Level One taking on Trevor Blackwell as well as a Triple threat match between Fyre Angel, Jason Royce and Katrina Olivetti.
Chase: And Dr. Matt and Trevor Blackwell will go Shot for Shot in a Singapore Cane contest.
Harvey: And that's going to take place, right now!
There are two garbage cans in the ring, and both have dozens of Singapore Canes sticking out of them.
Tony: The following match is a Singapore Cane Shot-for-Shot match. The competitors will alternate hitting each other across the back with a cane. If you choose to hit your opponent, then you must take a shot in return or be disqualified.
The lights dim and Eminem's voice comes over the loud speaker, "Get your ass up for the Doctor, one more time, get your ass up for the Doctor". "Encore" continues to play as Dr. Matt steps into a spotlight shining in the entry way. Dr. Matt is still wearing a neck brace. He slowly makes his way down to the ring and then rolls in under the bottom rope. He gets to his feet and walks to a garbage can. He pokes through them, chooses his weapon of choice, and pulls it from the can. He twirls it around in his fingers, then swings it like a baseball bat a few times.
Chase: Dr. Matt still is nursing that neck, but he looks like he's ready to fight tonight.
Harvey: Hopefully he doesn't run away tonight.
"Revolution Is My Name" by Pantera assaults the loudspeakers as the lights go down and blue and white strobe lights illuminate the stage. Everybody's Hero, The Hardcore Icon, "The Career Killer" Trevor Blackwell appears, his Singapore Cane clutched in his hand, his arms outstretched in the Trademark Blackwell Crucifix Pose as gouts of blue ghost flame erupt from the stage on either side of him, the crowd exploding to a deafening roar with the blue and white strobes spreading out across the arena. The Hardcore Icon struts down the aisle, going back and forth from one side of the runway to the other, slapping hands and pounding fists with his rabidly loyal fans. He reaches the ring and slides under the bottom rope to scale each turnbuckle respectively, striking his Crucifix pose for every facet of the crowd before stepping into the middle of the ring and raising his Sinapore Cane over his head, one more gout of ghost flame erupting from each of the four posts. Dr. Matt, who meanwhile has just been leaning on a rope, watching this whole ordeal, rolls his eyes at the Career Killer.
Chase: Trevor Blackwell is more skilled with a Singapore Cane than anybody on this planet, but can he take a shot as well as he can give them?
Harvey: Let's find out.
Trevor and Matt meet in the middle of the ring, and lock eyes. The referee gets between them and has a coin to flip to see who goes first. Trevor grabs the coin, pockets it, and says he'll receive first. He then takes off his jacket and his t-shirt, and goes to ropes. He sets his cane on the mat, and then places both hands on the top rope.
Trevor is still holding his ear and cursing loudly.
Harvey: What a cheap shot. Dr. Matt could've busted Blackwell's eardrum with a shot like that.
Chase: I think that's exactly what that cheap bastard was trying to do, and now he's running away like a chicken.
The fans are booing Dr. Matt, as Trevor, covered in welts, is yelling at Matt to get back in the ring. Matt yells to Trevor that he'll see him at November Reign. Matt is just about the curtain, when President Jeff walks out. Matt backs right into him, and nearly jumps a foot when he sees Jeff. Matt backs away from the boss, and looks confused. Jeff lifts up a microphone.
Jeff: Matt, I'm sick and tired of seeing you run away from your matches like this. You wear that neck brace to try to gain sympathy and mercy, but I personally think you're just faking it. So, that being said, at November Reign, I'm going to make sure that you can't run away from Trevor, and find out once and for all whether or not your neck is really injured. That's why I'm making your match with Trevor...

A DOG COLLAR MATCH!
Dr. Matt's eyes go wide as the fans erupt into applause. Jeff smiles at Dr. Matt for a moment before turning and walking away. In the ring, Trevor, still holding his ear, laughs at Dr. Matt. He then points to Matt, and makes a motion like he's going to hang him. Matt is screaming out of frustration as we go to commercial.

SINGAPORE CANE SHOT-FOR-SHOT CONTEST: Trevor Blackwell vs. Dr. Matt
The referee tells Matt to take his. Dr. Matt smirks, walks up behind Trevor, plants his feet, and swings through, hard, smashing his cane across Trevor's back. Trevor's knuckles turn white from clutching the rope, and he clenches his jaw. A red welt quickly forms across his back, but he stands his ground. Dr. Matt chucks away his broken cane, and laughs as he walks across the ring and assumes the position.
Chase: Trevor offers to take the first shot, and I can't believe he's standing. That had to hurt.
Trevor shakes off the hit, and picks up his cane. He walks across the ring, twirling the cane like a true professional, than charges at Matt. Matt braces himself for the hit, but Trevor just gently taps him across the back. Matt is confused, but Trevor turns, walks back across the ring, drops his cane, and grabs the top rope. Matt turns, not knowing what Trevor just did.
Harvey: What the hell?
Trevor is stoic, and everyone has no clue why he wasted his shot like that. Dr. Matt shrugs, and grabs another cane. He gets behind Trevor and goes to swing at him, but then stops. Trevor flinches, bracing for the hit, and when he relaxes, Matt strikes. He strikes over the first welt, and blood starts to come to the surface. Trevor's eye twitches, and drool comes from his lips, but he stands his ground. Matt, satisfied with his strike, goes back across the ring to get ready for Trevor's turn. Trevor slowly grabs his cane, walks over to Matt, then swings the cane again. However, he pulls his shot and stomps the mat at the same time. There is a lot of noise, but the cane again barely touches Dr. Matt. Trevor turns again and gets back into position, and Dr. Matt is now angry.
Chase: Is Trevor trying to prove how tough he is?
Harvey: Now's not the time. If he doesn't start wearing Dr. Matt now, his back is going to be one giant welt.
Dr. Matt yells at Trevor, asking him what kind of game he's playing. Trevor doesn't respond. He just stares straight ahead, waiting for the shot. Dr. Matt curses, then grabs two canes out of the garbage can. Before the referee can stop him, he runs across the ring and he smashes both canes across Trevor's back. He throws the broken pieces out of the ring as Trevor tries to stay strong, but this time drops to one knee. Dr. Matt gets right into his face and starts yelling at him to show Matt what he's got.
Chase: Four canes have been broken across Trevor's back, while Dr. Matt has barely felt nothing yet. What does the Career Killer have in mind. What is his strategy?
Dr. Matt storms across the ring and gets in position. All the time he's yelling for Trevor to come and show him how a real man hits. Trevor gets to his feet, grabs his cane, and slowly walks over to Matt. He lifts the cane up and readies himself to swing, but he does nothing. Dr. Matt yells at him to swing, but Trevor doesn't. Finally Matt turns to face Trevor, and Trevor swings the cane, full force, and breaks it across Matt's throat. Matt falls back into the ropes, holding his neck and coughing. He falls to his knees, making gasping sounds and yelling about his neck. Trevor smirks, and walks back across the ring and waits for Dr. Matt to come hit him back. Dr. Matt is telling the referee to disqualify Trevor, but the referee says there was no rule about where you can and can't hit.
Harvey: The Doc can't be too happy about that hit. That's only going to add to his neck problems.
Dr. Matt is fuming. But then, he looks like a light bulb came on over his head. He grabs a cane and slowly walks over to Trevor. He then lines up a shot square in the back of Trevor's red, bleeding back. Then, he swings, but raises the cane at the last second and nails Trevor right across the ear. A loud smack can be heard, and Trevor falls to the mat, holding the side of his head, crying out in pain. Dr. Matt then goes beserk and starts swinging his cane again and again at the fallen Blackwell. The cane shatters, and Dr. Matt is still swinging out of rage. Blackwell's trying to defend himself and hold his ear at the same time. Blackwell finally manages to shove Dr. Matt away. Trevor grabs his cane off the mat and gives a one arm swing at Dr. Matt, but Matt ducks. He backs into the ropes, and chooses to fling himself out of the ring and too the floor. Trevor gets to his feet and grabs one of the garbage cans. He then throws it at Dr. Matt, who's now walking backwards up the ramp. The can misses, and Matt laughs at Trevor as the referee calls for the bell to disqualify Dr. Matt.
WINNER VIA DQ: Trevor Blackwell
