Chase: Now that it looks like CJ is done with Blade, what's next for the high flyer
CJ continues to celebrate and we go backstage
Backstage
The hallways behind were the APW Action happens are a fast lane of moving parts. Stage hands are scurrying. Security guards are standing, arms crossed, trying to seem more imposing than their pay scale dictates. Fans and friends with backstage passes are chatting back and forth, or waiting outside their favorite Mega Star’s locker room, in the hopes of getting that rare autograph.
And through the organized chaos strides a man immediately recognizable in his jet black suit and two-tone shades. It’s former interim Overdrive champion and future Undisputed title holder, Ryan Ruckus, and he seems more… what’s the word? Friendly?... than we’ve seen him since his debut.
R2: Hey, nice to see you. –slapping hands with a developmental talent- Steve, how’s the new baby? –pointing to one of the popular ring rat chicks- Cindy! Alright…
And then he spots who he’s looking for. A Simpsons-Comic-Book-Guy lookalike with a skullet pony tail, setting up his merchandise table for the evening. You may recognize him as the same poor sap Ruckus took his aggression out on, after Rasslemania. Which totally explains the look on the Vendor’s face as he Ruckus approaching.
VENDOR: Aw crap… Please don’t hurt me. I just got out of the arm sling from last time.
Ruckus stops in front of the merch table with a smile and arms out-stretched.
R2: Relax, Unamed APW Merchandise Vendor. I come in peace. And –pulling a thick fold of cash from his suit jacket- I come bearing copious amounts of currency.
The Vendor, still obviously uneasy, can’t help but perk to the sight of so much money.
Vendor: What’s the catch?
R2: No catch, my good man. Rather, a business transaction. I would like to purchase every Undisputed title replica you have in stock. And none of those plastic doohickeys. I’m talking full leather, full metal.
Vendor: Like the Alchemist?
R2: Nerd.
The two share an anime fanboy smile.
Vendor: Well, I only have a couple here at the table, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got a crate of them in back storage. I’m not sure if they made the trip, but I can check. And are you sure you want the lot of them? That’s gonna run a hefty price.
R2: Every last one, to be sure. And money, my friend, is no object. Just round them up and pass them along to- –reaching out and pulling the headphone-wearing stage manager into frame.- –this man. He’ll know what to do from there. …Deal?
The Vendor scoops the wad of cash of his table and literally salivates as he’s counting it.
Vendor: Deal.
Ruckus reaches to shake hands and the Vendor flinches instinctively. Which causes Ruckus to smirk a little bit, in spite of himself.
R2: Pleasure doing business with you.
And then, he strides off down the hall, humming to himself.

We find ourselves backstage with the beautiful Hannah Storm accompanied by the APW Undisputed champion, Lester Only. The title had undergone it's a official face lift; and was clearly modified to suite the new champion. Hannah Storm: Lester, last week you officially dropped the ''Level-One'' moniker you have been carrying for four long years; do you feel like this is a decision that's going to hurt your stock in any manner seeing as the world has identified with Level-One for so long?Lester Only smiles as he wraps an arm around Hannah Storm clearly taking a laid back approach to the question despite the fact it was asked up him all week long. Still, a sigh of disinterest escaped from his muzzle. Lester ''L1'' Only: ''Not at all, Hannah. Ever since my real name was spoken from the lips of ''Crazy Man'' Joel Bryant the world has known my real name and has even taken it upon themselves to address me by it in attempt to disrespect me. I figured it was now time to own it, once and for all. Level-One has been synonymous with every, vile, horrific, and cruel event we have ever seen in the last several years here in the APW and I'd hate for that to linger in the back of my fans minds. I'm trying to undue the years of trauma and damage I have caused and I felt this step was necessary to take in order to do that...''Hannah Storm: ''What about all the main-events? The championships? The inter-promotional awards? Aren't you distancing yourself from all that too, Lester?''Lester ''L1'' Only: ''Hannah—nothing has really changed since last week, has it? Pence Weatherlight is STILL retired. Branden Harvey, is still losing matches. And the fans? Well, they still love me. Lastly and most importantly, I was the APW undisputed champion last week—as I am now. My name doesn't change any of that because while people can change what they have or haven't accomplished in the past, doesn't. And that's what is so special about this business. That's why I love what I do...''Lester Only with his body language signals for Hannah Storm to ''touch it''; ... the title, you pervs! She runs her hand across the 12 pound slab of gold highly impressed. Hannah Storm: ''Lester, tonight you're going up against Khaos, Biggs and the man who you handpicked as number one contender, Ryan Ruckus. What do you think tonight's match will prove heading into Mayhem?''Lester ''L1'' Only: ''Well, you should know that I am going out there and I am going to put 100% of my effort into making sure I emerge the victor. This is a very important match as it's a great way to scout where Ryan Ruckus is relative with two other mega stars that have been quite impressive as of late and allows me to set the pace heading into Mayhem. There's been a lot of criticism of my choice to choose Ryan Ruckus to defend my title against and some people feel I took the easy way out. Tonight, I hope Ryan Ruckus can show the fans that he is worthy so I can rest easy knowing my decision was justified...''Hannah Storm: ''In other words you think you make Ryan Ruckus look like a star—even if it means, he loses?''Lester Only smiles as he unwraps his from Hannah Storms shoulder and slaps his title confidently, twice for good luck. Lester ''L1'' Only: ''You can put it this way, Hannah. He said, he wanted the best competition right? Then in that case, Ryan Ruckus is going to find it a great compliment in losing to a champion like me. See you later, Hannah...''Level-One spins around and walks off leaving Hannah Storm blushing as she flirts with the thousands of viewers at home and then... She finds herself between Terry Marvin and AJ King, who mean mug her as they walk on by and the scene fades to ringside "Wasting Time" by Red plays out over the PA system as the crowd stands up and begins to applaud as Matt Weatherlight appears on the entrance ramp. He grins, puffing out the collar on his green and black vest, and readjusting his shades as he begins to make his way down the entrance ramp. He slaps the hands of some fans and allows pictures to be taken of him with some even luckier fans in attendance. Paige: The following contest is schedule for one fall! Making his way to the ring first, hailing from Nashville, Tennessee...Matt Weatherlight!Harvey: As you may remember, Matt Weatherlight returned last week to fill the gap that Pence Weatherlight has made in the roster. A lot of people are putting high expectations on his return and a lot of people are glad to see him lacing up his boots again.Chase: I don't put any expectations on him at all. We don't need another Weatherlight and to be honest Pence didn't leave a big hole at all...he had been sucking for months. Matt begins to run as he makes it half-way down the entrance ramp and slides in under the bottom rope. He quickly rolls to his feet and poses for the fans in the middle of the ring. He then turns his sights to a turnbuckle in the corner, he commences to climb up it until he is standing at the very top, and he looks around the arena before flinging his shades and vest into the crowd. As "Wasting Time" begins to die down, Matt jumps down from the top turnbuckle, and turns to look at the entrance ramp waiting for his opponent to show up. "End of the World" plays over the speakers not too long after, the deceptively calm tempo seeming to lull the crowd until Jacob Whitehead walks out, followed by his manager, Elizabeth Page. He struts down the ramp until he gets to the floor, then he scoops up Liz, kissing her fiercely, the lewd display gleaning even louder boos from the crowd and a smirk from both Jacob and Liz. Paige: Making his way to the ring, accompanied by his manager Liz, and hailing from Orlando, Florida....Jacob Whitehead!Chase: Now this guy is a monster, he devistated his two opponents in his last match, and tonight is going to build up even more momentum by crushing Matt tonight.Harvey: We will see about that. Jacob hops up on the apron and steps over the top rope before striding into the center of the ring where he ignores anyone that might have come down to the ring before him to taunt the crowd. Eventually he'd settle down and head for his corner, hunkering down and waiting for the fight to begin. Ding, ding, ding! Matt Weatherlight vs. Jacob Whitehead Both men circle each other, Matt staying around arms length away for the start of the match, and Jacob staring menacingly at Matt who patronized him this week. It doesn't take long for the first move of the match to be made as Jacob lashes out quickly and catches Matt a bit off guard by rushing him and pushing him into the turnbuckle. Matt looks surprised, but is even more surprised as a three hundred pound man rushes at him, and smashes him into the turnbuckle with such force it sends him staggering forward, straight into a big boot. Matt falls loosely to the mat and just shakes his heads, the cobwebs definitely having been shaken loose within the first few seconds of the match. Chase: I told you. Whitehead is going to dominate Weatherlight through out this match. There is no way that Matt can win with such a size difference.Harvey: Just give the kid a chance, I think he has something brewing up in that head of his. Jacob doesn't give Matt much time as he picks him up and Irish whips him into the ropes and on return delivers a devastating clothesline. Then quickly he mounts Matt and begins to try to deliver heavy punches to Matt's face, but Matt brings up his arms, blocking most of the punishment. The ref pulls Jacob off of Matt and right as he does so Jacob begins to stomp on the prone Weatherlight. Once again the ref breaks it up and Jacob walks away raising his arms and yelling out "Who's the man!" at the top of his lungs, this gets a lot of booing from the fans who are watching him. Jacob waits in the corner as Matt, rolls to his chest, and tries his best to get up. Jacob then rushes at him and delivers a kick straight to the chest that sends the young Weatherlight rolling out of the ring in pain. Jacob gets out of the ring, following Matt, and brings Matt up to a standing base and begins to deliver a punching combination to the hurting Weatherlight. As the ref reaches the count of seven, Jacob rolls Matt under the ropes, and follows him back into the ring. Matt is already up to a vertical base thanks to the ropes and turns to see that Jacob is running at him. Matt brings the ropes down a second before impact and watches as Jacob falls harmlessly to the ground outside of the ring. The fans finally begin to cheer as Matt sizes up the giant below who is just getting up. He pulls on the ropes and then catapaults over them, delivering a cross body to the surprised Jacob on the outside. Harvey: A great cross body by Matt. I feel the momentum shifting.Chase: Look again. Matt is clutching his chest where he had received that kick earlier as he staggers to get up after delivering the cross body and turns around to face Jacob who is already standing, Jacob then grabs hold of Matt and slams him head first into the ring post outside. The fans groan as they see Matt laying on the outside in pain, Jacob doesn't even let them finish groaning as he rolls Matt into the ring, and goes for the quick pin. 1 . . . . 2 . . . . Kick Out The fans cheer as Jacob looks at Matt and shakes his head as he stands up and commences to stomp on him once again. The referee breaks it up, not wanting any injuries to be gained through this match. Jacob growls at the ref who backs off as Jacob walks by him to get to Matt who is already trying to regain his footing. Jacob waits for him to stand up and then begins to deliver hard punches to the ribs and the head. Matt staggers, trying his best to block punches, and doing a decent job of it as he blocks a few punches, and begins to pick up his pace as he does so. As Jacob goes for the final punch, Matt steps aside, and in one movement sends his foot straight to the side of Jacob's leg. He keeps dodging and keeps hitting the legs, trying his best to ware down the bigger man. Jacob of course, has had enough of this as he feels the momentum shifting, he lashes out quickly with a powerful clothesline that literally sends Matt flipping backwards and on to his face. Harvey: Ouch! That looks like it hurt.Chase: And that is why Jacob is a better athlete. Jacob picks Matt up and bends him over, bringing his knees into his face as he does so, the hits are not able to be blocked as Matt's arms are being held behind his back by the stronger Whitehead. Matt, of course not wanting any part of this assault, manages to push Whitehead into the ropes, and bounce them off of them, with the built up momentum Matt takes Jacob down, and forces the release in the same motion. Matt goes to mount Jacob, but Jacob shoves him off, and over the top rope. Jacob shakes his head, unclear as to how exactly Matt broke that hold. Matt seems to have gained a second wind as he flips back up to a vertical basis and climbs into the ring. Jacob and Matt stare each other down again, until finally Matt engages Jacob, delivering a swift combo of kicks and punches that Jacob can't see to block quick enough. He manages to get Jacob down to one knee with the assault with a kick to the knee cap and then performs a picture perfect Shining Wizard. The fans are pumped up now as Matt jumps on to the ropes and goes for a Lion-sault, but Jacob moves out of the way, and watches as Matt crashes and burns. Matt is back on the offensive quickly though, not allowing the failure to keep him down for long as he strings together a sequence of kicks and punches. Jacob, however kicks Matt in the gut, and then begins to lift him up into a suplex position, but stalls. Chase: It is all over now. Going for the Lightning Strike, something weird happens. Matt punches Jacob's leg multiple times and out of no where the leg buckles, sending Matt face first into the mat, but causing Jacob an extreme amount of pain. As he holds his leg, the ref walks over to Matt, and begins to ask him if he is alright, Matt gives him a thumbs up, and slowly, but surely gets up to a vertical basis. The fans watch as Jacob does the same, wincing as he puts weight on to the leg. As Jacob looks down at his leg, Matt rushes forward, and goes for the Light's Out, the fans cheer as Matt nails it to perfection and quickly goes for the pin. 1 . . . . 2. . . . . . 2 1/2.... Kick Out! Whitehead lifts Matt off of him and throws him aside like a doll. Matt falls to the mat, clutching his chest in pain. The ref checks on both men, but doesn't notice Elizabeth who moves around to the other side of the ring and begins to wail on Matt with slaps. She stops and walks away as Matt lays there in a great deal of pain. Harvey: That is blatantly illegal, I can't believe the ref didn't see that.Chase: Doesn't matter, all is fair in love and war. Whitehead gets to a vertical basis as Matt shakes his head trying his best to get himself into the game. As Whitehead charges forward again, Matt drops down, and performs a drop toe hold. The fans watch as Jacob falls on to his stomach and Matt rolls over to deliver the Tactical Maneuver, Cross face submission maneuver. Jacob is no where near the ropes and tries his best to power out, but Matt is on his back, and has all of the leverage. Finally Jacob is forced to tap, not wanting to further damage himself in this match. The ref signals to ring the bell as Elizabeth on the outside howls in fury. Paige: Here is your winner, via submission, Matt Weatherlight![/center] Chase: I...just can't believe it.Harvey: A good victory by Matt Weatherlight....a promising prospect for the near future. The fans cheer as Matt rolls out of the ring and quickly goes to the top of the entrance ramp, not wanting to invoke the wrath of an angry Jacob. Jacob glares up the entrance ramp as "Wasting Time" by Red plays and Matt shrugs his shoulders and laughs, disappearing backstage. BackstageA.J. King sits on a bench in the Contourage locker room, taping his hands for his upcoming match. When the door burst open, and Ryan Ruckus saunters in, all smiles. R2: How are the future APW tag team champions holding up?! …Where’s TMarv?AJ: Good question. I haven’t heard from him since I arrived, and he even missed his promo taping. You don’t think he changed his mind and quit out from under us, do you?Ryan considers the possibility as he crosses to sit next to AJ. R2: Naw. I have to believe the allure of championship gold would be luring enough to get him to show. Maybe he’s dealing with some family stuff. His estranged daughter has been about recently.AJ: –not sounding so sure- Yeah. …By the way, I didn’t get a chance to say so earlier, but I think it’s cool what you’re doing with that mentor guy-R2: -Hero Coach.AJ: -That Hero Coach guy. Screw what everybody else says, you’re trying to improve yourself, and I respect that.Ruckus slaps AJ on the back and smiles. R2: Well thanks, man. But enough about me. We need to get you in the mindset. We need to get you pumped to go out there and take it to the Beautiful Disaster. Did you hear what they were saying about us, man? That you andTMarv are just clones of each other, and that we haven’t done anything to deserve a title shot?AJ smiles. AJ: Yeah. That’s exactly what people DO say, when they’re trying to hide the fact they’re legitimately scared of losing what little prestige or power they may have. But don’t worry, Ruck. I’m a hundred percent, and barring a flake-job from the Real Show, I can all but guarantee that tonight will show the crowning of new tag teams champions, and those new champs will be flying the flag of The Contourage.R2: That’s what I like to hear! Go get ‘em, brother. I’ll get back at you later.AJ: Sounds good. The two stable mates shake hands and Ruckus stands to leaving, only pausing as AJ calls after him. AJ: Hey, Ruck…R2: –stopping in the doorway- Yeah?AJ: Thicker than blood.Ruckus grins. R2: Damn straight, brother. Thicker than blood. And then he’s gone, leaving AJ to finish taping his hands. Backstage, "Supersonic" Branden Harvey is approached by Shane West. West: Branden Harvey, last week was a big week for you. You lost a spectacular match to Khaos. Your frineds, CJ Gates and Blade, broke up and are no longer teaming together. And you were attacked by Jesse Nunez. What are your thoughts on last week as well as your match this week with Young Mannie?Branden: Last week I lost to Khaos. The match was a greueling experience. After the match, I was attacked by Jesse Nunez. He attacked me after I competed in the match of the night. After I was already exausted. He says I've let the fans down. But he's the one that left. He let the fans down by leaving. And he let the fans down by blindsiding me. He wants to cry foul? His name isn't George Bush and it's not going to work for Nunez the way it worked for Bush. Jesse Nunez is going to pay and I'm going to be the one to make him do it.
As for that other stuff you said? CJ and Blade are big boys. They can fight if they want to. I'm still friends with both of them. As for Young Mannie? I'm going to win my match against him tonight. But I'm more focused on Nunez. And Nunez, if you're watching, keep watching. As in, watch your back. Because the sound barrier is going to break and the whole world will hear the Sonic Boom.West: Watch these developments as they come to play, fans. Thank you.Branden walks off as we go back to ringside "Dynasty" begins to play on the PA. The fans jump out of their seats cheering. Jesse walks out from backstage and stands at the top of the ramp. He's wearing his usual ring attire along with his t-shirt and hat. He looks around the arena and nods in approval of their reaction. He points toward the ring and signals it is time for action as he heads down toward the ring. Paige: Ladies and gentlemen, weighing in at 240 lbs. From Phoenix, Arizona, Jesse "The Prodigy" Nuñez!Jesse then slides into the ring and starts to pose for the crowd before throwing off his hat and t-shirt into the crowd. Jesse starts to get a few final stretches in with his arms and throws a few punches in the air. His music begins to fade off and he is ready to go. The Arena Is Anxious As The crowd Goes quiet as the camera zooms into the video screen and the handsome face of Diamante Valentine is slicking his hair back and laughing as suddenly the silence turns into loud boos from males and big cheers from females as Shamans Harvest - Broken Dreams blares through the arena, As Diamante Valentine Walks Through The Curtains With His Head Held High Wearing A Long Black Sleeveless Trenchcoat With John Morrison Style Shades, Always Kissing A Female Fan On The Hand And Make Other Women Jealous As She Falls And Faints. He Walks Onto The Ring steps Slicking His Hair Back. Paige: And his opponent, weighing 240 pounds, Diamante Valentine.Jesse Nunez vs. Diamante Valentine
The bell rings and they lock up. They go back and forth around the ring, trying to gain the advantage in the lock up.
Harvey: Jesse Nunez is trying to gain the victory in his first match in over a year.
Chase: Not likely.
Jesse gets Valentine in a corner and the referee calls for a clean break and gets it. They back away from the corner. Jesse hits a snap jab and Valentine charges at Jesse and Jesse gets an arm drag. Jesse applies a sleeper hold on the mat. The referee checks Valentine but he's conscious and he won't submit. Valentine gets to his feet slowly while Jesse tries to maintain the hold. Damian Walker grabs Jesse's leg. Jesse has to break the hold to deal with Damian. Jesse goes out side and Damian back away. When Jesse gets back in, Valentine is there with a series of rights and lefts. He kicks Jesse in the gut and hits a fameasser.
Harvey: Damian Walker distracted Jesse and Valentine is taking advantage. As always, deplorable actions by the Red Shield Mafia.
Chase: What are you talking about? Damian just here to watch the action. He has the best seat in the house now. Better than ours.
Valentine brings Jesse to his feet, whips him off the ropes, and hits a big boot on the rebound. He leaps into the air and hits a leg drop on Jesse. Valentine covers. 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Jesse kicks out. Valentine brings Jesse to his feet, whips him into the ropes and goes for a clothesline on the rebound but Jesse ducks it and comes off the ropes again, leap frogging Valentine, and coming off again with a shoulder block. Valentine is up quickly and Jesse runs the ropes and comes back with a spear. He locks in an arm bar on the mat.
Harvey: Nice comeback by Jesse.
Chase: I'll admit that Jesse is good but Valentine is better and he's going to come back from this.
Harvey: We'll see if Damian gets involved again.
Valentine gets to his feet and forces Jesse into the ropes, which forces Jesse to break the hold. Valentine charges at Jesse, who back drops him over the top rope and out to the arena floor. Jesse climbs the ropes and waits for Valentine to get up on the outside. Once Valentine's up, Jesse leaps off the top rope and hits a cross body. Jesse rolls Valentine into the ring and follows. Diamante lifts Jesse up and throws Jesse into the ropes. Jesse hit’s the ropes and ducks a clothesline from Dimante and comes back, taking the Xtreme Champ down with a flying shoulder block. Damian jumps up on the ring apron and Nunez runs over, knocking Damian off the apron. Diamante is up and kicks Jesse in the gut and sets him up for the Ego Trip. Diamante tries to lift Jesse up but can’t. Jesse stands up and gives Diamante a back body drop. Diamante gets up and Jesse lifts him up across his shoulder and gives him the Attitude Adjustment
Harvey: The Ressurection!
Jesse covers 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3!!!
Winner: Jesse Nunez Harvey: A Return victory for Jesse Nunez here tonight!Jesse celebrates in the ring as Valentine is helped to the back by Diamante. Suddenely, "Supersonic" Branden Harvey runs down to the ring, leaping into the ring and goes after Jesse. Branden hits a few rights. Jesse hits some rights of his own. Jesse gains the advantage and whips Branden off the ropes. He goes for a clothesline but Harvey ducks it and comes off the opposite ropes with a flying cross body. Jesse is up and Harvey hits an Impaler-Stunner. Harvey climbs to the top rope and signals for the Sonic Boom, but Jesse rolls out of the ring and Branden jumps down to the ring Harvey: Last wee we saw the return of Jesse Nunez and his attack on Branden. This week, Branden is repaying the favorChase: Things are starting to heat up between these two. Jesse heads up the ramp as Branden looks on and we go to commercial.

The scene opens up backstage where Cindy Shannon is standing waiting patiently for the person who had agreed to be interviewed by her. Finally the door to the shower opens and out walks Matt Weatherlight wearing nothing, but a towel. Cindy looks away, clearly not wanting to gawk at the manly perfection that Matt Weatherlight is. " Was this not the time that I was told to come to this location?" Matt looks around and then back at himself. " Oh, the lack of clothes. Sorry my bag got lost at the airport. But, yeah...we can do the interview now." Matt sits down on the bench and Cindy continues to stand afraid to look. Matt lets out a laugh. " Just sit down and interview me as normal...alright?" She nods her head and sits down, she looks over at Matt, and begins to ask him questions. " Did you enjoy your first night back in a ring?" " Yeah, it was pretty fun. I enjoyed the fact that the fans enjoyed the match. I know I spent a lot of my time on the ground, trying to regain my composure, and formulate a strategy, but in the end this is all a learning experience for yours truly. Its going to take time to find everything that works for me and to find the winning formula. Luckily for me...I managed to pull a win and that is all that matters." " Do you think that you can learn anything from this match?" Matt nods his head and then replies. " Yeah, spend less time thinking and more time fighting. I think in this match specifically I was putting too much thought into it and I think next time I just need to let it flow...I think the biggest thing of all is of course I need to remember this match when I go through tough points in my career to remind me that no matter how bad things get, I can still pull a win out." " As a returning megastar who is still a rookie and was at one time considered to be a top tier rookie, how would you grade yourself tonight?" " To be honest, Cindy...I would grade myself as average or needs improvement. The fact is I didn't play my game tonight. I didn't fight the way I should have fought and there is always room for improvements to be made here and there to make me a better fighter and speaker. This week I wasn't so great, I think that next week I should be able to take on whoever is put in front of me by Jeff and his booking staff. Hopefully it will be a challenge because the more challenging the better." " One last question if you don't mind?" " Not at all..." " Where do you see yourself by the end of the year?" Matt breathes in deeply and nods his head, rubbing his chin a bit as he does so. " Undisputed Champion. I think to shoot for anything less would be a shame for the potential that I, Jeff, my father, and my trainers all think I have. So I hope I can live up to my own plans and be the guy to bring the smiles back to the fans." " Thank you for your time." " No, problem." Cindy nearly walks in to the locker room wall as she moves past him trying not to look at him as the scene goes back to ringside for another match. Nicky Paige: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the APW Tag Team Championships. Introducing team number one weighting in at a combined four hundred and sixty pounds, Representing the Contourage AJ King and “The Real Show” Terry Marvin!!!!!!!!!!The first few second of Hard to See by Five Finger Death Punch begin to play throughout the arena as the lights dim and flash red and black just as the music picks up tempo. From out of the curtains steps AJ King and his tag team partner “The Real Show” Terry Marvin. AJ makes his way to the edges of the entrance stage pointing out into the crowd and walking over to the other side doing the same, while Terry stands with his arms across his chest. "Im growing so disturbed Nothing makes sense to me anymore Im learning to resist Becoming more than you ever were" As the tempo picks up again AJ and Terry run down the ramp towards the ring before sliding into the ring on their stomachs, and quickly popping back up to their feet. King seemingly runs up the corner turnbuckle as he throws his hands outward in the air posing for the crowd, while “The Real Show” slow climbs the turnbuckle on the opposite side of the ring holding his arms out to allow the fans to worship him. "Cant explain, whats come over me (come over me) Cant explain, why its so hard for me, So hard to see your side." AJ jumps down and runs to another corner as the music continues and finally jumps down as the last bit of lyrics fade out. "Projecting all my anger I can’t seem to get this through to you The walls are closing in I dare you to walk in my shoes..." Nicky Paige: Their opponents weight in at a combined three hundred and seventy-seven pounds and hail from Tucson, Arizona. They are the APW Tag Team Champions Brandon and Kaycee Young, Beautiful Disaster!!!!!!!!"Look Alive, Sunshine" [That one phrase echoes through the arena as everything goes black. Video footage of a red sunset burning over the Arizona skyline appears on the screen through a thin layer of static. While that happens, Dr Death Defying continues his radio call in that same weird, echoey, staticy voice...] Look alive, Sunshine 109 in the sky but the pigs won't quit You're here with me: Dr. Death Defying I'll be your surgeon, your proctor, your helicopter Pumpin' out the slaughtermatic sounds to keep you alive A system failure for the masses, empty matter for the master plan Louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny [The sun seems to get brighter and brighter, almost blindingly bright red until it bursts, the arena washed in crimson light that seemingly colors the air as a result.] This one's for all of you rock'n'rollers All you crash queens and motor babies, Listen u...
Harvey: I know that we are in for a heck of a Main Event later tonight involving two APW Champions, but on any other week this match could be the Main Event.
Chase: Yeah this is a pay-per-view quality match for most companies, but here in APW are shows are so good we’re giving it to you for free.
APW Tag Team Title Match Beautiful Disaster © Vs AJ King & Terry Marvin
The two pairs stand in their corners discussing strategy as the referee calls for the bell. The Champions decide that the smaller quicker Kaycee will start the contest against the Contourage’s big man Terry Marvin. The two grapplers step to the center of the ring and begin to circle searching out a chink in the other wrestler’s armor until Marvin finally offers a collar and elbow tie up. Kaycee quickly closes the distance and the two lock up until “The Real Show” uses his obvious strength advantage to toss one half of the tag team champions across the ring like a rag doll. Frustrated she jumps back to her feet and charges at Marvin looking for a second collar and elbow tie up and “The Real Show” was more than happy to oblige. Maybe a little too happy as this time Kaycee is able to easily sidestep the bigger man and ricochet off of the ropes before taking him his knees with a well placed diving clothesline to the back of the knee. Her momentum allows her to roll through a bounce off of the opposite set of ropes and comes back with a text book missile style drop kick to the mush. Terry doubles over backwards, his bodyweight stretching his knees painfully while a few feet away Kaycee kips-up and tags in her husband.
Harvey: A series of high impact maneuvers from Kaycee Young followed by a quick tag to her partner. That is text book in ring psychology from the champs.
Chase: Well they aren’t the tag team champions for nothing, but I imagine that Contourage has a lot more fight in them than we’ve seen so far.
The Young Gun leaps over the top rope and into the ring with a smile on his face. He nonchalantly walks over to the downed Terry Marvin who has managed to free his legs from beneath his body. Young grabs a hand full of “The Real Shows” hair, drawing the ire of the referee, and pulls him to his feet before locking on a front face lock and popping his hips driving Marvin spine first to the mat with a snap suplex. Brandon then rolls across the chest of the challenger and hooks the near leg for the first cover of the match.

AJ King is able to break the count with a desperation stomp to the back of Young. The champ rises up and is about to slap the taste out of King’s mouth when a roar from the crowd distracts him. He looks up to see none other than Ryan Ruckus strutting down the aisle.
Harvey: Beautiful Disaster was within an eye lash of retaining their titles, but it looks like the tables may be turning. The number one contender for the newly christened Undisputed Championship is making his way to ringside and the Contourage now have the numbers advantage.
Chase: Brandon Young likes to talk about how he holds a PhD in Wrestling Psychology, whatever the hell that is. But if he does have one he probably just realized that he’s not getting laid for a while, because Kaycee is about to lose her favorite piece of jewelry.
The distraction caused by Ruckus entering the arena gives the referee enough time to escort AJ King back to his corner and Brandon Young turns his attention back towards Terry Marvin only to receive a blatant low blow that drops the tag champ to his knees. The grossly illegal maneuver gives Marvin the chance he needs to crawl across the ring and tag in the fresh and ready AJ King. King hits the ring like a proverbial house of fire and nearly beheads the downed Young with a brutal front kick. Brandon’s eyes roll back in his skull and he tumbles like a felled tree face first into the mat. King lifts Brandon up off of the canvas by his hair and locks on a front face lock, but the champ falls limply back to the canvas before AJ can take the move any further. Frustrated AJ once again lifts Brandon up, this time he is able to execute a fisherman suplex when another roar from the crowd allows enough of a distraction for Brandon to break the hook on his leg and take King over with a weak northern lights suplex.
Chase: What is with the crowd tonight? They are cheering at all the wrong time.
Harvey: They aren’t cheering the action in the ring. They’re cheering for CJ Gates who is coming to ringside to even the odds. Contourage no longer has the numbers advantage.
Chase: What? Why is CJ Gates down here? He has nothing to do with this match.
Harvey: Apparently he thinks he does.
CJ Gates walks around the ring and comes to a stop in the corner of Beautiful Disaster. He begins to clap loudly and yell for Brandon to get to the corner to make the tag. Kaycee quickly joins in and it is only a few seconds before the entire arena is willing Young to make the tag. Brandon Young seems to feed off of the energy and slowly crawls towards his corner until Ryan Ruckus jumps up onto the apron attracting the attention of the referee and giving Terry Marvin and opportunity to climb into the ring unnoticed by the official. CJ Gates has seen enough and runs over and pulls the legs from under Ryan Ruckus causing him to fall face first into the hardest part of the ring.
Chase: Someone should call the cops. CJ Gates just assaulted the next Undisputed Champion.
Harvey: CJ Gates was just keeping this match under control and making sure Beautiful Disaster wasn’t screwed out of their belts.
The referee begins screaming at Ryan Ruckus, banishing him from ring side. Inside of the ring Terry Marvin reaches inside of his tights and pulls out a pair of brass knuckles that he intends to use to end the match. He places them on his right hand and rears back to strike Brandon Young yet another roar from the crowd stops him in his tracks.
Chase: What the hell is he doing here? He’s an Asylum Megastar, not even good enough to be an Overdrive Megastar.
Harvey: He’s the APW Heavyweight Champion.
“The Real Show” turns slowly and finds himself standing face to face with James Chambers. Judo Jimmy kicks Marvin in the gut doubling him over before throwing him out to the floor. James follows Terry to the floor and takes the brass knuckles from his clenched fist and sticks them in the pocket of his jeans. Inside of the ring Brandon Young finally makes it to his corner and the crowd erupts as he tags in his lovely bride. A few feet away AJ King reaches his corner to find it empty and he knows he’s in a world of hurt when a Kaycee Young comes charging across the ring. The hell fire from Tucson, Arizona leaps off of King’s knee and drives the sole of her boot into his face hitting her version of the Shining Black known as Kay-O. The crowd nearly explodes in cheers as she makes the cover and the referee drops to the make the count.

Backstage
Well, kind of backstage. Actually, we’re standing in the position made famous by Gorilla Monsoon. And also standing there is your Undisputed #1 Contender, Ryan Ruckus, who is chatting with the Stage Manager we saw earlier.
R2: So everything is set up and ready to go?
STAGE MANAGER: 100%, R2. Just like you asked for.
Ruckus nods. It’s obvious his brain is working over time.
R2: And the pulley system is fully operational with a release cord descending to the center of the ring?
STAGE MANAGER: You know this.
R2: Good. I wouldn’t want any Owen Hart incidents on my watch.
The Stage Manager pulls a face, to show he took some slight offense to the comment. And let’s be honest, who wouldn’t?
“Ahem.”
The Stage Manager roams behind a set of curtains, and Ruckus turns to see his new “Hero Coach” The Paradigm, standing nearby.
R2: The Paradigm! You made it.
PARADIGM: I did. Though apparently not in time. That Owen Hart comment you just flippantly made is exactly what I’m talking about. That, coupled with your less than friendly recent promo, adds up to a public image which pretty screams the opposite of Hero.
Ruckus sighs.
R2: I know, I know. Old dog, new tricks. But I’m trying. That counts for something, right?
PARADIGM: It certainly does. Now all we need to do is plan a spot to get your approval rating up. We want that sucker through the roof, by the time Mayhem rolls around.
R2: You’re right, and I’m already on it.
Ruckus grins widely. The Paradigm seems uncertain.
PARADIGM: I’m almost afraid to ask.
R2: Then don’t. Just sit back and watch.
-And from the arena PA, we here the familiar sound of:
You must die! I alone am best!
R2: Oop, gotta go. That’s my cue.
CUT TO: Ringside.
Darren and Johnny are at the commentary table.
Harvey: Folks, we’ve already had an Action-packed edition of Thursday Night Overdrive. And there’s only more amazing entertainment still to come. Up next, we have-
You must die! I alone am best!
Chase: -A word from Ryan Ruckus apparently…
The crowd rises to its feet and boos wildly, as “I Hope You Die” plays and the Patron Saint of Sin steps onto the entrance ramp. Missing is his usual smoking cigarette, and in its place is a smile not often seen on Ruckus’ way to the ring. Nodding along to his theme music, Ruck makes his way to the ring, trying to slap hands with fans who are having no part of it. But the Real Thing’s mood is too bright to be brought down, so he slides into the ring, still in good spirits, and pops up in the center, requesting a mic.
R2: G’Day, Sydney Australia!
Even the cheap nationality ploy garners only a lightest of pops.
R2: Man, Ruck-Stars, how long has it been since I cut a solo in-ring? Months? Eh, no matter. I’m here now and ready to spend some quality time with all of you.
Nope, they’re still not buying it.
R2: By now, we all know that tonight wasn’t the best night ever for the Contourage. Those pesky Youngs were able to best my boys AJ and Tmarv, and retain their tag team titles. But no worries; I’d bet good money they get another shot real soon. And besides, the night isn’t a total wash. There’s still the main event I’m going to enter and win, on my way to becoming your next Undisputed champion.
Chase: Hmph. He wishes.
Harvey: And from the sound of this audience, he seems to be the only one.
In the ring, Ruckus hops onto the third turnbuckle and sits there to continue.
R2: And speaking of that Main Event, a lot of things were said this week, and a lot of unexpected stuff went down. I mean, first we think Khaos’ brick house girlfriend was pregnant, and then we find out she actually just a cheating whore who doesn’t appreciate someone spending six years in jail for her well enough to keep her cooter in her bull-dikey docker pants.
Chase: Okay, he’s no Lester Only, but that was pretty funny.
R2: Next, we found out another APW-affiliated ho, Ellie Biggerstaff, may get arrested for being the only person to beat Biggs in recent weeks, only to find out her guilt finally caught up with her, and she tried to permanently retire to Kirby’s Dreamland.
Harvey: Classless.
Chase: Hilarious.
R2: And finally, in the bombshell of all bombshells, Lester Only’s gots kids?? Did you guys know that? Hell, I’ve known the guy for years and never once caught wind of him being married or fostering Level Spawn. I always assumed he was screwing that chick from Wheel of Fortune who follows him everywhere.
He hops off the turnbuckle and heads back to center.
R2: I guess here in APW, the surprises never stop coming. …Which brings me to my reason for being out here now. I know since I’ve joined up here that I haven’t been the nicest guy on the roster. The smartest, maybe. The cleverest. The most strategic. Damn sure the best looking. But not the nicest. And as much as it hurt to admit it while I was watching, the things Lester said in his promo this week are more or less true. I have been my own worst enemy. I have been less than my best due to personal problems and questionable relationships. …I have –to put it plainly- not been the Ryan Ruckus I want to be. And I’m seriously starting to think that it’s all because of… you.
The crowd BOOs its disapproval at the assumed insult, but Ruckus quickly throws his hands up.
R2: Woah, woah, woah. Wrong idea. I wasn’t saying you all are the reason I’ve been a shitbag and slumping. I was saying the last time I remember being satisfied… truly satisfied with myself and my career, is when you all were in my corner. …Well, I mean there was my Survive and Conquer win; that was pretty cool. Resting my feet on Keaton Saint’s lumpy head and- …I’m getting of topic. The point is, I know Lester pulled this shtick just a couple weeks ago, and I’m in no way trying to steal his thunder. But I am going to do something a little similar.
The crowd cheers, remembering what happened when Level One made his recent change of heart, and Johnny Chase jumps on top of the commentary table, standing and raising his hands to the heavens.
Harvey: What are you doing?
Chase: Getting ready. Money is about to start falling from the sky.
In the ring, Ruckus smiles and holds up a hand.
R2: But I will not be dropping money from the ceiling.
Boo!
R2: Money is a gift given by someone who doesn’t know you. Someone who doesn’t understand how you think. The money falls from the sky and you snatch it up and take it to buy gas, or snacks, or online poker accounts. Namely, things you would buy for yourselves anyway. No, a true benevolent friend buys you something you’d never let yourself buy for yourself. So that’s what I’ve done for you tonight, and simultaneously, I’ll be offering you a little taste of what I will feel like, come Mayhem, by giving you a little taste of APW championship gold.
Slowly from the rafters, a rope which looks like an old style movie curtain tassel descends. Stopping just within arms reach of Ruckus, in the center of the ring.
R2: Ladies and gentleman of the audience, I give to you, 100% pure leather, gold-plated diecast metal Undisputed Title replicas!
And smiling as big as ever, Ruckus pulls the cord.
. . .
For a moment, nothing happens. And then, the sound of metal latches unclamping echoes throughout the arena, and one-by-one, 10-pound chunks of metal and leather fall from fifty feet in the air.
The first one hits the front of the announce booth, sounding out with jaw-clenching CRUNCH, and breaks a chunk of wood right off the front of the desk Johnny Chase is standing on.
Chase: Gah! Duck!!!
He dives under the announce table as, from around the arena, various fans begin to cry out in fear and pain.
R2: Um. Uh oh…
Panning across the stands, the shaky camera view catches glimpses of various fans either passed out, or crying, or bleeding from their heads as the cameraman do their best to keep rolling while searching for cover. For thirty seconds, the entire arena floor is in absolute bedlam. And then, the final title replica drops, and the fans find it’s safe to come out from under protection.
Just in time to boo the roof off the building.
R2: Heh. I guess I should have thought that one out a little better. But it’s the thought that counts, right?
BOOOOOOO!!!!!
R2: Alright! Well, I’ll see you all later in tonight’s main event. Wish me luck. And remember, Sydney, this Ruck’s for you!
“I Hope You Die” plays from the PA again, and Ruckus makes his way back up the ramp, dodging the replica belts being throw at his head from angry fans.
Back at the commentary table, Johnny Chase crawls out from under the desk and puts his headset back on.
Chase: Idiot…

He is dressed in a worn out pair of Levi jeans cutoff to make shorts, black knee and elbow pads, a Misfits t-shirt with the sleeves cutoff and wrestling shoes covered by black kick pads. Paige: Introducing first, Standing six feet four inches tall and weighing in at two hundred and seventy-five pounds. He hails from Hell, Michigan by way of the Jackson State Penitentiary. He is Khaos!!!!!!!!!!!!Khaos makes his way towards the ring ignoring the cheers and jeers being launched at him by the fans. His focus is on one thing only, the ring and the damage he is about to inflict inside of it. Once he reaches ringside he climbs onto the apron using the steel ring steps and wipes his feet on the apron as a sign of respect for the business before entering the squared circle between the top and middle ropes. Slowly he walks to his corner and leans against the turnbuckles awaiting his opponents. The crane camera pulls a sweeping pan across the audience. The thousands of fans are on their feet, holding their signs. And then, a voice from the PA- "You must die! I alone am best!" And a mish-mash of boos and cheers fills the arena as Ryan Ruckus steps onto the ramp. Paige: Introducing second, weighing in at 215 pounds. He is the number 1 contender for the APW Undisputed Championship. RYAN RUCKUS! His head is bowed. His arms are outstretched with the first two fingers on each hand crossed. A cigarette dangles from his lips, pluming smoke above his head.
