With Jason Royce in desperate need of a tag, The Hardcore Kid reaches over the ropes and extends the reach of his arm. With just a mere inches away from each other, The Iceman lunges for a tag, but The Hardcore Kid moves his hand out of the way and looks down at a confused former partner.
Overdrive, December first, a shocking move made by the Hardcore Kid had people talking for days after the incident. The Hardcore Kid, left his partner high and dry as he threw the 8 month lasting tag team away.
With the question being asked, “why?” Camera’s caught up with the Hardcore Kid this past week at his home in Las Vegas Nevada where he sits at the corner of his sofa and the camera focus on his face on an angle
THK: All week, everyone been asking me. Why? Why did you turn on Jason Royce? Why did you do what you did? And my answer. Are you serious? Are you Stupid? Even a blind man can see that I was tired of being held down by Jason. That I was tired of being the one who carried the team. I thought it be pretty obvious why. But now, I have brighter and bigger plans than being held down with The Tag titles and Jason Royce at my side. The day will come where I get my shot at a singles title and I’ll be A Singles Champion. And right now, The Xtreme Title is looking pretty good, if I do say so myself.
Jason Royce is the kind of guy who can’t do anything on his own. He needed me to get him notice. He needed me to help him get some Gold. And now he wants Carl Cage to help him as well. Well, I don’t need it! I am my own man. I take care of myself. I was tired of looking after Royce and I wasn’t going to look after Carl Cage as well. And time will tell just who is the real star of Hardcore Ice.
And I’m going to really start to prove that on Overdrive when I step into the ring, once again, against “The Career Killer” Trevor Blackwell. Its no secret that we kick started APW back at the first show, New Years Retribution in the very first APW match, and we had another match since then. But, The difference between then and now is that now, I’ve gotten better. Now, I’ve been getting the respect that I deserve. And now, I believe that the outcome this time around will be different than the previous two encounters.
I’ve never cared about winning or losing, and I don’t care if Trevor beats me again. What matters to me is that people take notice. People see that Hardcore Kid and they see a man with heart and determination. That they see a man who is willing to give it his all in an attempt to take one step closer to the top. And when I step into the ring with Trevor Blackwell, I’m going to show the world that he is no where’s near qualified to go after the World Heavyweight Title.
Bring your little bitch to the ring Trevor, so she can see first hand just want kind of man that Trevor Blackwell really is when he gets his ass kicked by some punk kid. Trevor, your good, but when the dust settles, your going to see why I was able to carry a useless Jason Royce to two tag team title reigns. And why we we’re able to hold on to them for so long. The Hardcore Kid your facing this week, isn’t nearly the same Hardcore Kid you face on day one. I’ve stepped up my game. I don’t care what I have to do, I don’t care who you bring to the ring Trevor. At the end of the night, win or lose, I’m stealing the show and it will be me that everyone is talking about. The Hardcore Kid is revamped and ready to go. So Trevor, get ready, say your prayers, because boy, I’m sending you STRAIGHT TO HELL!
