The camera goes to the parking garage area where a black Suburban is pulling up. The SUV comes to a stop before Rocky Starr is seen coming out of the driver side. Rocky walks to the back of the suburban and pulls out a suit case, walks toward the camera for a second before stopping and looking around.
Rocky: Where the hell is that valet?
Rocky shakes his head and begins walking again as Phil appears on camera.
Rocky: AH HAH!!!! There you are!
You see phil smile as Rocky finishes walking over to him. The smile quickly turns into a confused look as Rocky hands him the keys and continues to keep walking toward the arena
Phil: Umm...Rocky, I actua-
*Rocky interrupts Phil while beginning to dig in his pockets.*
Rocky: I gave you the keys right?
Phil: Yes bu-
Rocky: I forgot your tip! [/color]*Rocky reaches into his back pocket and pulls out his wallet and looks inside while continuing to talk* My bad man, but hey just don't do me a favor and make sure ya don't scratch it or anything like that, it's a rental.
Phil: I'm NOT the valet! I was sent to talk to you about your debut match on Overdrive.
*Rocky sticks his wallet back in his pocket* Rocky: Oh, sorry and shit! Well, Jeff probably should of told you, I'm not much for the whole interview thing...
Phil: Well if I could just ask you a few questions bout the match...
Rocky: Look man, I'm just gonna go down to the ring, I'd rather
do my thang out there, but yo! Could you do me a favor though?
Phil: What's that?
Rocky: Park my car...
The camera shows a close up of Phil with a frustrated look on his face before cutting to commercial.
When APW comes back on air the focus is back in the arena where "Rock Superstar" begins to play over the PA System. The crowd gives a solid pop as Rocky Starr walks out from the back and stops at the top of the ramp. Rocky gazes from the left of the crowd to the right and grins at the reaction he's getting from the crowd. He slowly lifts his arms up into the air and pose for a moment while still wearing that boyish grin. Rocky begins to walk non chalantly down the ramp before getting to the ring. He slides under the bottom of the rope and walks to the furthest turnbuckle, he climbs to the middle rope before raising his arms and posing once again. He jumps down from the turnbuckle and grabs a mic from the ring announcer and walks to the center of the ring and waits for the crowd to quiet down before speaking.
Rocky: Oowie, let me start off by saying it feels damn good to be back in a wrestling ring!
Rocky gets a quick pop.
I mean by all means technically this is my second appearance in the ring but this time, it's different! You see last time I came out here it was to let you fans, as well as the locker room know that it was official that Rocky FREAKING Starr was here in the APW!
the crowd gives Rocky another pop.
Rocky: Well this time, I'm out here to talk about everybody's favorite rock star's in ring return on Overdrive in Pittsburgh!
The crowd cheers at the mention of thier home town.
Rocky: Ya know what? I'm not gonna stand out here and lie to you guys, I think I'm more nervous now then I was when I made my original debut in wrestling. When I first broke into this business nobody knew who I was, thus no expectations. Now days, all you fans out there in the arena are straight stoked to see the SoCal Soulja back in the ring doin his thing. The locker room is buzzing about the rock star's return. The wrestling world as a whole is once again talkin 'bout me, Rocky!
Rocky pauses for a few moments before speaking again.
Rocky: To be honest, not all the talk is good talk either. On one hand, I have some wrestlers in the back talkin about how I was a major influence on the way they do thier thing. On the other hand, I have other people in the back that suggest that the talent we have here in APW may be to much to overcome for a former champ's return.
Once again, Rocky pauses before speaking again.
Rocky: I mean my own family is questioning my return to the ring! They're asking me what else do I have to prove? The answer to that question came to me rather quickly, EVERYTHING!!! I'm a multi time world champion, I've won several tag titles but the fact of the matter is, when it comes down to it, I feel like the business has overlooked me when it comes time to pick the legends, like my resume isn't quite good enough.
So there's 2 ways I figured I could go about this, 1 bitch, moan and whine to everyone who will listen and see if that would work or 2, lace up the boots and get back to the daily grind. I've been getting back to in ring shape for months wrestling in local shows in front of a couple hundred people waiting for another oppurtunity to come along. Now I stand before you as hungry as ever, as determined as ever, and I believe better than ever preparing for a match against a man named Julian Bale.
Now, I don't know much about Julian, I've never seen him wrestle and all I got on him is the same basic information you all have access to at the official APW website where there's a brief bio. From what I have read though, it seems we are a lot a like coming into this match as Bale, much like myself, has been away from the ring for a few years, and both of us are debuting on Overdrive. I'm back in the ring to prove to everybody I'm still the icon I was a few years back, while Julian, he's just tryin to prove he should be taken serious.
Now, if you remember me saying earlier that there's people in the back who question if I got what it takes to still make an impact in this ring? Well Ladies and gentlemen, July Bale is one of them Boner Bitin Bastards. Matter of fact, I believe his exact words was that I was too old. He came out here talking about how my old reputation of being a legend irritates him...
The only thing thats gonna irritate you is when this old icon has you laid up on your back for the good ole' 1 2 3 come Overdrive. Ya see, I wasn't gifted this title of legend, I earned it! If you don't believe me, ask Trevor Blackwell, ask Dr. Matt, hell ask your damn boss, HJ! I'm the greatest thing since the invention of the facials you recieve on the daily.
To be blunt Bale, in this business, you got the credentials of a parking attendant but the mouth of an icon and THAT ain't gonna cut it July. The fact of the matter is, I'm 27 years old and I'm in the best shape of my life. When it comes to this business, a talent like me is one of a kind while, you, your a dime a dozen. Your nowhere near me skill wise in this ring Bale. I hope you know this! You are the self proclaimed promised one if I heard you right...
Well, I always heard promises were made to be broken when I was growing up. This promise theory of July Bale will be broken by the one and only ROCK-Y-STARR!!!*Insert old school RVD thumb jabs here* Monday night, when all the lights are on you Bale...When all the cameras are pointing at you....When you have the thousands upon thousands of fans in attendance and the millions of people at home's undivided attention...you will be looking eye to eye with someone who's been there before...You, Mr. Bale will be starr struck.
Rocky drops the mic as Rock Superstar begins to play. He climbs the turnbuckle and poses as APW cuts to another commercial.
