Mother: Adam, James, you mustn't fight so much. It's not a way to show Lolita how siblings are supposed to behave with each other. Adam you are the eldest, you must be an example to James and Lolita. And James, you are the link that ties Adam to Lolita. When Adam grows up and moves away you will be the eldest.
Father: I am going to go in and get something to drink and maybe a snack. Would anyone else like anything?
Mother: Let me come with you, I will get something for the kids.
Father: You think leaving them here is wise?
Mother: They will be fine, won't you?
Father: Alright, you are in charge Adam, take care of them. I love you little brats. *Smiles*

Bomb: Congratulations on your title win. FTW Champion, it really says alot about not just a wrestler but a man. This business is more than about sport, it's more than about titles. It's about depth, passion, and enlightenment. After winning that title you are one stop closer to Enlightenment. You are no longer bound by the restrictions put in front of you by so called authority figures. You do not have to be apart of the sheep being led to slaughter. Question everything, fight for truth and let nothing stand in your way, especially not pain. You must learn that pain is your friend. If you learn to accept pain and deal with pain what is left to stop you? Do not ignore pain, but embrace it. And remember that this world has given you nothing, but that you have taken what is there for the taking. f**k the AFRWF, f**k WFWF, and f**k the World.
Voice: James...
Link turns around to find it is none other than his older brother and former AFRWF wrestler Adam Atom. Link turns back around and continues to walk. In an even stronger tone...
Adam: JAMES!
Link (sarcastically): Come to congratulate me?
Adam: Don't be silly. (Pauses) What is becoming of you? You look a mess. What is it that you are chasing or trying to prove?
Link: How did you know where I was? Have you been following me?
Adam: I am worried about you, Lolita is worried about you.
Link: You aren't worried about anything but yourself Adam. You are just afraid I've found something I will be better than you at. Something I will be remembered for.
Adam: Are you kidding me? I left AFRWF because of its corruption. Under the federation lies a cesspool of addicts, criminals, and scum. I am trying to get you out of their before they consume you. You do not the kind of person who can survive in a place like that?
Link (points to his championship belt): Looks like I'm surviving quite well Adam.
Adam: You must have heard AFRWF is closing, that belt means s**t now.
Link: I am the last FTW Champion AFRWF has seen and I plan on wrestling with WFWF. It's just AFRWF under a new banner, and I plan on being world champion one day.
Adam: This business will destroy you Link, there are people that claim to help you but they are just trying to manipulate you and brainwash you. I made a promise to our parents that I wouldn't let anything happen to you, and I will make good on that promise, even if it means kicking your ass to make sure you never step in a wrestling ring again.
Link: Not if I kick yours first
Adam: I love you brother.

Link: Things got better, but don't get me wrong things were still bad. To a degree I can understand what Adam was trying to tell me. He was... (Pauses)...right. In a way at least. But I think he went about it the wrong way. I realized that I was depressed but it was too late. I had developed into an alcoholic; I had become addicted to sex, experimented with drugs, and resorted to petty crimes just for the thrill. There were times I passed out on the way home sleeping in the streets with the homeless and the weak. But after I realized I was being played as a pawn in SA and Bombs schemes I used my desire to bring them down as a way to quit my addictions. I cleaned up my act, won the WFWF title, and seemingly defeated all of my foes. Even though I was finally leading my own life, Adam and I still had weren't speaking.
Psychologist: And then what happened?
Link: SA came back, but as something else. Something more freaky. He challenged me for my title, and for my job. And he won. That creepy little bastard won. I had nothing. I felt the depression coming back so I ran away. I went on a vacation across the world to get away from me.
Psychologist: Did you and your family reconnect?
Link: Not at first. For the first three years I was too proud to talk to Adam or even Lolita. It wasn't until two years ago that Lolita contacted me and we got together for some coffee. About six months later I made contact with Adam. We are slowly rebuilding a relationship, but it feels as if we are building a house with no foundation.
Psychologist: Do you want to go back to (looks at notepad)...WFWF?
Link: Hell no, that place is a different place now. Have you ever gone back to an old school years after you've graduated? The halls look the same, but the student's faces are all different. You partially expect to see the faces of old familiar classmates but no one knows you. You are long forgotten.
Link: I am doing fine at the firm. Number crunching has always been something I am good at so, it keeps me busy.
Psychologist: Well last time we talked you said you've been having nightmares and flashes of old matches and experiences during your time at WFWF. Do you think there is something that you haven't gotten over? Do you feel your former career gave you something that you are missing now?
Link: Pain. Releasing pain, feeling pain. Defeating pain with victory over another. Each match I won was like releasing another demon in my life. Now it seems like they just get bottled up and overlooked. That's why I am here doc. What can I do?
Psychologist: What have you done about it?
Link: I started my career up again with EWC. It was a whole lot of bullshit but it helped me get back onto my feet. I enlightened some, I learned a few things, but overall it was a tiny blip on my radar.
Psychologist: There must of been something there that effected you. Any relationships formed.
Link: Lake. There was Moses Lake. Don't make any mistake, we were far from friends but I think both of us changed each other and made us realize things about ourselves we never had. He has changed me more than anyone there. I realized how bipolar I can be. I could go on about him, but honestly I don't have the money to spend that kind of time. Hurricane Jeff was the closest thing to a real friend at EWC. I pretended to pal around with a stable, but I never liked him. I used them. Hurricane Jeff though, was real. He was enlightened. The problem I face now, is that he is a different person. He is dark, he is dangerous. He is blind by is own greed. And now I realize that I am about to step back into a career I've sworn I'd stay away from. Every time I step into that ring, James Carter dies, and Link becomes more and more of who I am. My relationships falter and my connection with society fails. What can I do? I have to enlighten Jeff, I have to save APW.
Psychologist: Well, have you read my self help book?
Link: No, I haven't but you know, reading a book just might solve all my problems. Thanks for nothing.*Fades*
Last Night
Link: What's going on? Where is everyone tonight? This place is usually filled by this time of night. Damn, Deja vu.
Bartender: Why does there always have to be something going on? Business is just fucking slow. Damn.
Link: SHUT UP!
Link: You are a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don’t know who you are, I don’t care to know who you are but circumstances have brought us together. Had you been here ten minutes earlier, or even ten minutes later, it would be someone else faced with my wrath, but by chance and circumstance it is you. In my life, you don’t matter and I will forget you by the end of the week, but in your life, this is a bookmark. It is a moment you will never forget, how can you? You’ve never been beaten as brutally and as badly as you have from me. Isn’t that right? Jason Royce. That is your name isn’t it? I laugh at the opportunity and blessings you are given. You had the tag titles. You have friends and you have happiness. But what have you contributed to the world? A series of promos of you pacing in your dressing room? A poor man’s attempt at humor and trash talk? Do you think that when you are done and gone people will remember you? You are essentially human waste, but yet you are blessed with the opportunity to compete for the World Title. What the fuck is wrong with this picture!? I have done so much. I have bleed, cried, and sweat so much to get nothing! I don’t give a fuck if you’ve been in APW longer than me; I look beyond APW when I measure myself. My LIFE in and OUT of the ring has been hell, but I have always maintained my ability to perform and be the best.
Link: Jason Royce, you are an ignorant cunt. Why the hell are you talking about video games? Oh that’s right. The popular game series ‘The Legend of Zelda’ features a hero named Link. I see where you got that. Did you come up with that all alone or did THK slip that idea into your ear while he was giving you the reach around? Assuming that my name is based on a fucking cartoon is like me assuming your name is based on the Japanese Chocolate Manufacturing Co. called E-Royce. You see that would be assuming. Making an ass out of me and you. The word, the name Link has so much more meaning than that. I implore you and future competitors to dig deeper for meaning and significance.
Woman: You’ve got the wrong guy! His name is Charlie! His isn’t Jason Royce! Why are you doing this, please?!
Link: Jason Royce, I am a train, an unmovable object whose destination is the World Title. I will be the fastest superstar to get that APW Title since John Green, and I’ll actually have a respectable reign. I am here not to glorify myself or claim riches. I am here to save APW. Save Hurricane Jeff from himself and save you. When you lose this Monday, don’t hate him, thank me. The beating I give you in the ring tomorrow will be a lesson to you. You could learn so much from someone like me. A lesson that you aren’t hot shit but just cold diarrhea. Right now, you aren’t a diamond, you aren’t even a diamond in the rough, but you are all rough. The mere fact you ever had a title baffles me, but if you take what I have to say to heart, you could get those tag titles back. It’s laughable if you think you could ever come close to the World Title, but to each his own. Don’t you ever refer to me as “son” you are pathetic, you can’t speak right, and you are younger than me so show me the respect I fucking deserve. I won’t even begin to tear apart why the name Iceman is the dumbest idea since a Doctor gimmick, but I will warn you that if you continue to disrespect me I will put you on ice. You aren’t talking to your friends, you aren’t talking to someone privileged. You aren’t talking to the newest member of APW. You are talking to someone that has NOTHING to lose, someone that will rip your ass apart, and anyone else to accomplish my goal. You are talking to Link, not the video game character, but the next World Champion.
Woman: Who would do such a thing to another human being? Shh. That was a rhetorical question honey, don’t try and speak. I heard his name. Link. Don’t worry baby, you are going to be okay and once you are, I am going to find this man. And when I do. I am going to kill Link.
A 1965 Station Wagon going exactly the speed limit slows as it approaches an exit off of the 5 freeway in California. It is dark now probably somewhere around 9:30pm. The man in the driver's seat wears a white colored short sleeved shirt with a black tie and brown slacks. He adjusts his glasses before he glances over at his wife who had just woken up. She is stunningly beautiful, looking much younger than she is. They exchange a smile and the wife turns around to check on her three children. Adam and James each take the side seat with the youngest of the three, Lolita, in the middle. The mother of these three is Puerto Rican by birth and insisted that at least one of their children was born with a name of Spanish origin. Adam and James begin to hit each other waking Lolita up in the process. A few words from their mother and just one look from their father from the rear view mirror is enough to get the boys to stop fighting at least for awhile.
The car slowly pulls into a parking space at a gas station in a small town just on the outskirts of Los Angeles. The family was on vacation to Disneyland, the first time any of the kids would go.
Father: I am going to go in and get something to drink and maybe a snack. Would anyone else like anything?
Mother: Let me come with you, I will get something for the kids.
Father: You think leaving them here is wise?
Mother: They will be fine, won't you?
Adam nods in agreement, while James just stares out the window. James is 10 with Adam being 2 years his senior, Lolita three years behind James.
Father: Alright, you are in charge Adam, take care of them. I love you little brats. *Smiles*
Mr. and Mrs. Carter walk into the Snack Center of the gas station looking around for snacks. There is a clerk and one other person browsing the shelves. Back in the car Lolita begins to sing and Adam sternly tells her to be quiet. James opens his door to go in after his parents but Adam again firmly orders his younger sibling into submission. As James closes his door his eyes remain fixed on his parents shopping. Another man walks into the store and pulls out a gun demanding the clerk to empty the register. The Carters are still as statues but the other patron knocks something off a shelf while trying to hide. The startled thief reacts and shoots Mr. Carter, who falls to the floor brining various shelved items with him. As Mrs. Carter lets out a scream the thief proceeds to "eliminate" the remaining "witnesses" in the store. The thief runs out of the store with a small back in one hand and the black revolver in another. He notices the three kids in the car witnessing the entire altercation and stops. Lolita is screaming, her face beat red from the strains of her cry. James and the thief make brief eye contact. As the thief begins to move towards them slowly raising his gun, a gun shot is heard and the thief falls to his defeat. A patrolman had been at the El Pollo Loco across the street and had rushed over to apprehend the criminal. James continues to stare at the man who had slain four innocent including his parents. The scene lay quiet and grim.

Bomb backhands Link across his face and smiles. Link just looks to the other man sitting with them in the back of this dark crowded bar. The other man is SA. SA slaps Link hard on the other side of his face. Link takes a shot that was on the table, rises, thanks the men he is with, and leaves with his newly won AFRWF f**k the World Title draped over his shoulder. Link walks out of the bar, its raining pretty hard outside. Link pulls the collar of his coat up, waits for traffic to slow, and crosses the street and enters an alley. He hears a voice call from behind. The voice is firm and strangely familiar.
Voice: James...
Link turns around to find it is none other than his older brother and former AFRWF wrestler Adam Atom. Link turns back around and continues to walk. In an even stronger tone...
Adam: JAMES!
Link turns around again, stops, faces his brother and acknowledges his presence with an attitude spread all over his face.

Link: Not if I kick yours first
Link throws a punch but it is blocked by the readied Adam. Adam responds with blows of his own that finds Links face. Link drops his title and charges his brother. Link pushes Adam against a brick building and punches him a few times in his midsection. Adam pushes Link off of him, runs towards him and delivers a big boot to Links face. Link begins to bleed from his mouth and even angrier look comes across him. He picks up a small wooden plank that lay loose among some trash and swings at his brother. He lands one on Adams side and Adam goes down. Link tries to continue the beat down with the plank but Adam trips Link causing him to drop the plank. He gets up delivers some hard punches to Link and then duplexes him onto some bags of trash. The sound of a few glasses in the bags breaking pierce through the sound of the hard rain beating down on the concrete alley road. As Link rolls around in pain Adam backs up slowly letting his guard down. Link slowly gets up but then quickly charges his brother going for a running clothesline. Adam ducks out the way and delivers a spear to his brother right into a large metal trash container. Link is down in a slouched sitting position up against the large dumpster, eyes shut.
Adam: I love you brother.
Adam walks away as the scene fades.
Seven Days Ago
The Scene opens in a psychologist's office. The room has dark brown tones to it with a large brown couch and a large black chair facing each other. A young woman sits in the chair holding a pad and pen. She is dressed up to look much older than she is. The glasses she wears could also be used to enhance her age rather than her own eyesight. Link lies on the couch with his left leg bent so his left knee is facing the ceiling. His head is resting on his right hand and he is staring upwards at the ceiling as if watching the very scenarios he is explaining.
Link: Things got better, but don't get me wrong things were still bad. To a degree I can understand what Adam was trying to tell me. He was... (Pauses)...right. In a way at least. But I think he went about it the wrong way. I realized that I was depressed but it was too late. The woman writes a few things down on her pad.
Link pauses to think about the question asked. He turns his head towards her and his demeanor changes and a much more lonely voice says...
Link: Pain. Releasing pain, feeling pain. Defeating pain with victory over another. Each match I won was like releasing another demon in my life. Now it seems like they just get bottled up and overlooked. That's why I am here doc. What can I do?

Link slowly slides his head back to face the ceiling. He closes his eyes and sees the faces of Bomb and SA laughing. In his mind he hears the voice of Bomb telling him to choke this b***h and go get a drink. He shakes the thought out of his mind and sarcastically says before getting up to get drunk...
Link: No, I haven't but you know, reading a book just might solve all my problems. Thanks for nothing.*Fades*
Last Night
We fade in to see Link sitting at a bar with half a dozen shot classes turned over. He motions to the bar keep for another one, the bartender obliges.
Link: What's going on? Where is everyone tonight? This place is usually filled by this time of night. Damn, Deja vu.
Bartender: Why does there always have to be something going on? Business is just fucking slow. Damn.
Link finishes his shots and grabs his coat and walks out of the bar and down the street. The sky is dark and purple. The clouds are out tonight displaying a tone of Winter in the middle of October. Link walks slowly with his hands in his pockets. He sees a young couple linked at the arm pleasantly giggling and exchanging thoughts on a recent memory. He had never had love like that; he had never really even had a true friendship like that. The only thing he ever had was family, and rejoining the wrestling community would destroy that. Link knew first hand that one should be grateful for what one was given, and that envy and lust would only make a man weaker. But as he walked through the city streets he saw more couples and young families just the same. Happy; content; in love. His rage slowly started to build and was only accelerated by his blood alcohol content. It slowly started to rain. He thought to himself, “really? Rain in October? In Los Angeles?” But each step he took the rain poured harder, and his frustrations and anger for being alone grew inside of him. The cold rain sizzled off of his hot tempered body, that would have covered him in a crowd of smoke. He turns a corner into an alley to escape the hell his mind has created only to find a very young attractive couple leaned up against the side of a brick wall making out. He pauses and calms to decide what he should do.
But the more he thinks about his own life and the lives of others the rage returns. The rage and fire inside Link boiled out of his pores as he clenched his fists. Link charged the couple, spearing them both into a dirty puddle. He picks up the woman and back hands her hard. Her suitor attempts to come to her rescue but Link is on him fast. He shoves the man’s head into the side of the building. Link delivers a series of kicks, punches, and your basic wrestling set. The man falls to the ground moaning. The sound of the woman screaming deafens the scene.

Link: SHUT UP!
Link jumps atop the man and begins to punch his face has hard as he can. Mercilessly he repeatedly lays grounded punches on to the man. Blood covers the man’s face to where only dental records could identify him. Links own hand is covered with a mix between the fallen mans blood and his own. Not even the falling rain can wash the blood off of this man’s face. The man begins to joke on his own blood. Link pulls the man by his shirt and jacket and brings him close to his face as he begins to speak to him.

Link punches the man again, but lets out a cry as his own hand is bruised and battered.
[/i]Woman: You’ve got the wrong guy! His name is Charlie! His isn’t Jason Royce! Why are you doing this, please?!
She begins to cry again and Link threatens her. She gets up and runs out of the back alley. Link picks the limp man up again before talking.
[/i]Link: Jason Royce, I am a train, an unmovable object whose destination is the World Title. Link pushes the man down as he stands up and grasps his hand. He puts his hand in his pocket and turns to walk away as he turns the corner he can hear the woman returning with help to save her battered and beaten boyfriend. She rushes up to her man.
[/i]Woman: Who would do such a thing to another human being? Shh. That was a rhetorical question honey, don’t try and speak. I heard his name. Link. Don’t worry baby, you are going to be okay and once you are, I am going to find this man. And when I do. I am going to kill Link.
