The scene opens up backstage at an event. The Hardcore Kid is in his ring gear standing with the APW Interviewer, Cindy Shannon.
Cindy: I’m standing here with The Hardcore Kid. Now Kid, lets go back to Overdrive. Moments after losing to The Job Squad, you blamed your partner, Jason Royce for the loss and then you ended up being teamed up with Bryan Greatness for the Tag Titles. What’s your feeling on that.
THK: Royce dropped the ball at Overdrive. There’s no question about it. And as much as I would have loved to go win those tag titles with Jason, I can’t risk him dropping the ball again, especially in a big match like a TLC match. But with Bryan Greatness on my side for the time being, I haven’t spoken to him yet, but if he’s willing to give it his all and fight for those tag titles, then so will I.
Cindy: This week on Overdrive, you are involved in a triple threat match between Razor Ryan, Diana Steel and yourself. How confident are you going into this match.
THK: I’m not confident enough to say that I’m guaranteed that I will win. But that doesn’t mean I won’t. Yah, my win loss record is crappy, but that isn’t going to make me a quitter. I know that there are a thousand of people who had my record in a company would quit and blame anyone that they could think of. But not me. I’m going to go out there and give it my all. Do my absoulute best. Razor and I locked horns in the past. We’re no strangers in that ring. I know what he is capable of and I plan on outsmarting him. He has the experience over me, but that’s my advantage because I’m younger and faster than him. And might I add, tougher. And Diana. She has herself aligned with some of the best. Being engaged to Kenny Lambardo, the world champ. She has the best person in APW right now training her. And that’s her advantage. But its one thing to have someone train you and then go out in the ring and execute it. But we will see at Overdrive just how good Diana is when she’s representing her team in this match.
Cindy: In a recent Promo, Razor said that he’s going to cripple you because he holds a grudge because he invited you to join him and Sabur a while back and you ignored them.
THK: Really? Well that’s news to me. Let me ask you Razor. Did you call me? Did you email me? Hell no. Do you expect me to listen to you every time you open your mouth and flap your gums? If you wanted me in your group Razor, you come talk directly to me. And if your upset because of that, then you got problems boy. And your right, I’m about to snap out of my losing streak at any time now and it just might be at Overdrive when I beat your sorry ass. You may be “new and improved” but to me, you’re the same old over rated Razor Ryan. Razor, at Overdrive, when I’m done with you, everyone will be calling you...a has been.
Cindy: We have yet you hear from Diana for this match, but you have yet to fight her in APW, your thoughts on her?
THK: Diana is talented and I’m not going to go lightly on her just because he’s a women. The girls in APW can kick any guys ass. Razor and Diana are in rivalry groups where I’m kinda in this match under the radar. But any one of us can easily pull out a win but Diana, she’s the smallest and the weakest going into this match that I’m going to use that against her. I don’t care if she’s part of the COK, or if she’s Kenny’s future wife. This is wrestling and I will treat her like I would treat any other man I step into the ring with. And my goal wouldn’t even change. The goal of destroying my opponent. Overdrive will be a preview of what will happen at Mayhem in the TLC match. And What will happen is at Overdrive, I’m beating Diana and Razor and at Mayhem, I’m walking out as one half of the tag team champions.
