The scene opens up at a hotel room somewhere in Ottawa. The Hardcore Kid is at his TV watching something. He keeps rewinding and pushing play. The camera gets a look at the TV and you see a clip from the New Years Retribution Main Event where the Hardcore Kid pushes Gordon Shumway off the ladder, sending him to the floor. The Hardcore Kid pauses it and looks into the camera.
THK: Isn’t that the most awesomest thing that you have ever seen. Seeing Gordon Shumway, 12 feet up in the air, go crashing down to the mat and hearing that thud when he hit the ground. Music to my ears. And this Monday at Overdrive, I’m going to finish off Gordon Shumway in my quest to win the Xtreme title.
The Hardcore Kid rewinds and watches the fall again.
THK: I may have come up on the short end of the stick last Sunday when Trevor Blackwell beat me. But that’s ok, but I showed the world that I am what I say I am and that’s hardcore and I’m going to continue to prove that every week until it becomes official that I am the King of Hardcore when I hold that Xtreme title.

THK: Gordon, your probably wondering why I got involved and cost you the world title at New Years Retribution. Well, its pretty obvious that I wanted Vinnie Hardcore to walk out as the champion, but things kinda backfired at the last minute. But another reason, is that you bug me Gordon. You and I and the entire world knows that you shouldn’t even had been in the main event. Everyone knows that Vinnie had you beat. You complained to President Jeff until you got what you wanted. And one thing that bug me are complainers. To me, Complainers are like that one booger that is stuck in your nose and no matter how much you pick at it with your finger you just can’t get it out, and you can try and blow it out into a tissue to the point that you blow a hole through it and it still won’t come out, and after about 10 minutes of struggling with it, it finally comes out. That Gordon is how much you bug me.
The Hardcore Kid turns off the video and stands up looking into the camera.
THK: Gordon, just like at New Years Retribution, your dreams of winning a title will be destroyed. The Xtreme title, its my title to win. It has my name all over it. And as much as I know you want pay back for me costing you the title last Sunday, one thing for sure is that I’m still going to kick your ass. Gordon, Monday Night, you will see why I am called the Hardcore Kid and after the bell rings and I pin you 1....2...3. The Hardcore Kid will be one step closer in being the first APW Xtreme Champion.
