The scene opens up with the Hardcore Kid backstage at an APW house show on a Saturday Night. He’s stretching for an upcoming match and Cindy Shannon along with a camera man approaches him.
Cindy: Hardcore Kid, Can I get a few words with you about your match this Monday against the World Champion John Green?
THK: Ask away.
Cindy: What are your thoughts on this match.
THK: This is the biggest match of my career. I’m fighting the World champion in a non title match. I’ve never fought the world champion before and a win tonight will turn some heads. A win tonight may just put me in the World title picture. I got a big mountain to climb going into this match. I’m going to give it more than my all because winning this match could do wonders for my career. A huge opportunity that I can’t let slip away.
Cindy: What have you been doing in getting ready for this match?
THK: Vinnie Hardcore has been training me for this match. And even if I don’t win, I’m going into this match to weaken John Green so at Carnage, Vinnie Hardcore will walk into the hell in a cell and a few minutes later, walk out the World champ. John Green may think that he has an easy night on Monday, but I’m going for more than just the win. John Green may be champion, but he sure as he’ll isn’t a smart one. And after Monday Night, my boy, Vinne Hardcore will be a step closer to being the APW world champion.
Cindy: This past Monday, you made fun of Jason Royce about losing his second match in a row and then you go and lose to Gordon. What do you have to say about that.
THK pauses for a second.
THK: Next Question.
Cindy: Any final words for the champ.
The Hardcore Kid looks into the camera.
THK: John Green, Monday Night, at Overdrive, your in for more than just a beating. Monday night will be the beginning of the end of your title reign. Monday Night, The Hardcore Kid is going to beat you all over the arena. This is a big shot for me and I’m going to make the most of it and at the end of the night, You won’t be standing John Green. Like it...Or not.
THK smiles into the camera and then walks away.
