Feelin' Lucky, Part I:
"Tonight, we feast...Tomorrow, we drink."
"Tonight, we feast...Tomorrow, we drink."
"Anything is worth fighting for when you put your heart and soul into it, anything...especially for the price of beer."-The O'Connor Brothers
Start a fight, it's right tonight
Down in the streets they's plenty of kids
Right
This is the time, this is the price
This is the night, let's go and fight
Start a fight, we know we are right
No more discussion, it's time for action
Right

We are the future, we'll be the rulers

Time had changed much for them over the recent months, and change was simply the beginning of what was to come next. Austin and Aidan found that little girl's body inside that empty warehouse building, and they had found the culprits who did those things to her. They shot each one of them down until the very last man, and they kept that man alive long enough to see to it the deed was done. No, they weren't murderous monstrosities of nature and they weren't going beyond their beliefs. God didn't kill that little girl. Fate didn't butcher her and destiny didn't feed her to those mindless animals. If God saw what any of us did that night he didn't seem to mind? From then on the brothers knew what they had to do, because quite frankly God doesn't make people this way...people do.
Men get arrested, out of control animals get put down
.No, they were not killing for sport nor were they killing for the fun of it-they were protecting the good people in this city who believed in change. Aidan and Austin were going to see to it that their dream would change this city, and soon enough maybe the entire world. The first step would require climbing back into the wrestling ring for APW, and going the distance to whatever lengths laid before them. They were going to do everything in their bodies, everything in their power, to help give the fans what they came to see. These were the people they watched over, the people they had grown to protect, the people they would stand alongside against pure evil such as Level-One or Victor Hades. Two out of control animals only waiting for what was coming for them, the punishment by God's hand they so rightfully deserved.
Tonight on Overdrive, the O'Connor Brothers would square off one more time against their well respected "drinking friends" the AKA, a couple of the craziest and toughest country-style men they'd have the privilege of facing off with. The last encounter for them was simply a showing of great sportsmanship as well as great effort between both teams. Colossal giants meeting inside one ring and giving it everything they had, to show the other team they were the better man. Tonight, it was only up to fate to decide if that outcome would shine or not...tonight...they collide one more time.

The Brothers' home
The Brothers' home
Austin-"That was one of the finest examples of spiritual guidance I've ever had the good fortune to witness."
Austin muttered as both he and his brother sat against their beds along the floor, each shirtless in a faded pair of jeans as the side across from one another. Backs against their beds and each burning away a cigarette as they discuss their victory over Evil that had spread throughout the city as of late.
Aidan-"Aye, but we got to stick to our plan, we don't want these blubbering news reporters trying to make us look like shite smothering super heroes."
Aidan grimaces at the thought of mass media following their every move, and rubs the temple of his head for a moment.
Austin-"Yeah, but you've got to wonder how big of a boost that would give us inside the ring against other lads. Hearing how many ruthless cold-blooded blokes we killed or put behind bars, hell they'd pry' piss themselves before knucklin' with us."
Aidan nods slowly, assuming his brother had a point.
Austin-"I mean think about it Aidan, we could be all over the news somewhere and some unlucky wanker gets a shot at us the next week on Overdrive. Think of the intimidation we'd be chuckin' before the match even started."
Aidan exhales carefully before blowing a small cloud of smoke and flicks his cigarette into the ashtray.
Aidan-"I don't like it."
Aidan responds while merely shaking his head.
Austin-"Why?? We get the media behind us, especially the city that'll be shaking in they boots when they hear about us. We'll be cleaning up the city so fast, hell brother, we won't have to lift a finger much less our own arses against opponents or thugs in the streets."
Austin pushes on, trying to convince his brother.
Aidan-"I said NO Austin, we aren't going to use these people to let ourselves be known any further than we already have. It's too much to risk, and you and I both know Dah' wouldn't be proud of it. We is going to do things jus' like we always have, and that be the plan from now on."
Austin turns his head in disgust and puffs another hit from his cigarette before putting it out on the floor.
Austin-"Whatever you bloody fuckin' coward..."
Austin grumbles quietly under his breath, as Aidan lifts his head hearing something similar before glaring over at his brother.
Aidan-"What the bloody hell did you-jus' say, lad?"
Aidan barks at his brother, who narrows his eyes looking back to Aidan with a pouty, disappointed expression.
Austin-"I said you are a chicken-feathered no good fer' nothin' fuckin coward!"
Austin swats an empty beer can across the floor at his brother, who now irritated swats another empty beer back at his brother as well. Seconds later both brothers are fighting along the floor, bashing eachother in the head as they roll and slam into the floor and walls. Aidan trying to keep Austin locked in a sleeper hold of some kind while Austin continues to elbow Aidan and pull his hair. Meanwhile outside the ruckus and blaring sounds of objects falling around the room, a bloodied and gunshot-wounded thug exits the alleyway. A dark-haired, scruffy-looking thug a part of the Colombo Brothers Italian mob who survived an attack from Austin and Aidan earlier. Looking up to their bedroom window the thug pants gasping for air, keeping one hand over his stomache to slow the gunshot wound from further bleeding.
Checking his ammunition clip the thug slides the clip back into his automated .8mm and moves inside the apartment building. Meanwhile back upstairs Austin and Aidan continue to throw, slam, and beat eachother a mess throughout their apartment.
Austin-"You still fight like shite!"
Aidan-"You're still a little bitchy lassie to me!"
They scream at one another, breaking house objects and different household appliances over eachother's bodies. Aidan running a B-Line for Austin, scoops his brother up and spears Austin into the refridgerator door. While Austin elbowing his brother in the back repeatedly, opens the fridge door before slamming it shut on Aidan's head.
Austin-"Here, le'me get the door!"
Aidan bashes a jar of pickles over his brother's face staggering away from the fridge, as both Austin and Aidan now fall to the floor exhausted. Gasping for air and barely able to lift his own leg, Austin gently kicks his brother in frustration. Barely able to move much himself for that matter, Aidan does the same as both brothers lay back on a down messy and broken appliance-filled floor. Outside their apartment, the bloodied Italian thug creeps towards their front door with gun drawn and ready to extract his revenge.
Austin lifting his head quickly off the floor, looks to the door hearing floorboards creaking a little closer than usual for neighbors to be passing by.
Austin-"Did y'hear that?"
Austin grumbles at a whisper, while Aidan remains along the floor holding his head exhausted.
Aidan-"What?"
Aidan grumbles irritated before another quiet echo of a floorboard creaks as both brothers shoot to their feet, swiftly moving to either side of the doorway. Aidan lifts a cracked microwave from the floor as Austin unplugs a metal toaster, awaiting eagerly for whomever is behind the door to enter. Carefully the door opens slowly, as both brothers nod to one another getting ready...
Aidan-"Ruddy'!"
Aidan shouts as his face lights up in relief seeing a familiar face walk through the door, "Roddy" with his dark spiked and scruffy looking face and all steps through the door with a McDonalds bag and a cigarette in his mouth grinning.
Roddy-"I thought you drunk bastards would be hungry so I picked up some Mickey-D's on the way...fucking traffic t'night is crazy let me tell you."
Roddy grumbles before seconds later the bloodied and bruised Italian thug comes flying through the doorway tackling Roddy down to the floor with gun in hand. Austin and Aidan both dive seperate ways as the Italian draws his .8mm and fires around the room. Roddy meanwhile face down now in a Double-Cheeseburger struggles to get free for air. Austin leaping over the couch whips the metal toaster across the room and manages to "LUCKILY" smash the gun from the Italian's hand.
The Italian curses in his fluent foreign language.
Aidan slipping out from behind the tipped refridgerator rushes the Italian full-speed before putting the thug out of his misery, shattering the large microwave over the man's bloodied skull. After several minutes of getting themselves together and chowing down some McDonalds, all three men seem to have calmed down.
Roddy-"I suppose you boys pissed off the Italians again, huh?"
Aidan-"Aye, and plenty more for th'matter, we just gettin' started lad."
Austin-"Aye, if they comin to our homes and trying to kill us in our sleep, I say we hit em back jus as hard."
Roddy-"Ghosting the Italians in their sleep? You boys are crazy!!"
Roddy exclaims nearly choking on a french frie.
Aidan-"Aye."
Aidan smirks looking to his brother, who simply grins looking back.
Austin-"What do you think?"
Austin chomps a large bite out of his hamburger, holding it in his hand as he points to Aidan.
Aidan-"I think you have to kill a good person to get our attention."
The brothers nod at one another.
Austin-"But tonight we focus on APW-tonight we get back in the ring with our AKA brotheren for another bloody good bar brawl for the ages. Last time we all nearly kicked eachother's necks in, I say tonight we help push each other to the limits and give each other a bloody good knucklin'."
Aidan tosses Roddy and Austin an unopened beer can and nods.
Aidan-"Aye, we've been busting our arse for those fans out there, it's time we get some grattitude from this effort and put on our best. I don't know about you brother, but I'm ready to go above and beyond the good lord's fine work and put ourselves to the test. I'm ready to put differences aside with our mates tonight, just to show them what REAL Irishmen do to protect their honor and pride!"
Aidan shouts, crackling open his beer and takes a quick swig.
Austin-"Aye! We go out there pound for pound, blood for blood and we give those Ass-Kickers a bloody good run for their money. Well, maybe not their beer money because we'll all need beer money afterwards, but a good run for their arses never the less! I say tonight brother, we step it up a kick and we tear the house down. We live up to our expectations, to our promises, and we shut up every nay-sayer who stands against us!"
Austin begins to chug his own beer as well.
Aidan-"We've fought these brave lads before, now we know what they can do and where their exposed weaknesses are, it's our only shot at getting out of this and makin it mean somethin'. Tonight we gotta be at our finest Austin, tonight we've got something more to prove, not to the fans, not to our brothers the AKA, but to ourselves! To our family, and to Dah' wherever he may be. Are you with me my dear' brother?!"
Feeling the adrenaline rush pumping through their blood and veins, both brothers begin to pump one another up. Getting psychologically ready for the big match ahead of them tonight.
Austin-"To the bloody end my brother, it's our time to shine finer than any pot o'gold our fine green land has ever seen. This time we make our fans, our family, and our COUNTRY proud and we bring home the gold! Luck of the Irish, heart of the warrior, we'll give these people tonight the finest toe to toe action they ever witnessed. I'm feelin' lucky tonight Aidan, I say we hold nothing back and nothing against our AKA lads. Tonight we fight for sport, and for victory!"
They both begin to scream slamming their beer cans together as they "Clank" before chugging their beers spilling down their blood-smeared and sweat-covered masculine chests. As Roddy remains frozen on the floor with a burger in one hand and a beer can in the other.
Roddy-"That was beautiful..."
Roddy mumbles staring off into the distance as a small tear rolls down his cheek.
Fade to black.
