The scene opens up inside a Russian Prison. The APW Cameras quickly rushed to this prison as soon as they heard that an APW superstar was in there. There camera zooms into the cell, where there’s only one guy in the cell, none other than the APW Xtreme Champion, Chris Cyrus. Sitting on the floor, Chris looks up and see’s the light on the camera.
Chris: Come on, turn that off, its bad enough that I’m in here.
Just then a door opens and in walks Biggs and The Beast.
Biggs: Chris, What are you doing in here?
Chris: Its stupid man, its all just a big misunderstanding.
Biggs: You ok?
Chris: I’m fine, just get me out of here.
Biggs: Don’t worry, I’ll go bail you out. We need you in that tag match on Overdrive.
Chris: Just hurry.
Biggs and the Beast leave the room to bail Chris out.
Chris: Well, While I wait, and you’re here Mr. Camera man, I may as well cut a promo for Overdrive.
The camera man gets into position and Chris starts with his promo
Chris: This Wednesday on Overdrive is the biggest Overdrive Main event in APW’s two year history. 8 of the best, well, actually, 4 of the best wrestlers in APW today, Victor Hades, The APW Overdrive Champion, Biggs, The APW Xtreme Champion, Myself, Chris Cyrus and the APW World Heavyweight Champion, Level One will team up to take on a group of wannabe great wrestlers, Jesse Nunez, The AKA and Pence Weatherlight. Overdrive is a sneak preview of what will happen at One Night in Hell.
First of, on the losing team, we got Jesse Nunez. Jesse hasn’t won a match since I think before Shockwave. And he’s going to continue to lose. Jesse is so unfocused right now, with his little whore being kidnapped by Hades, that Jesse mind is in no shape for a match like this. As far as I see it, Jesse is going to be more focused on getting Victoria back that this is going to be more of a handicap match, rather than an 8 man tag. But I’m cool with that, because it makes it that much easier for me to beat the crap out of the AKA. And the beating they’ll get on Overdrive, will give the Axis of Awesome, that more of an advantage, walking into One Night in Hell in the Double Title ladder match.
And then there’s Pence. The Number One Contender for the APW World Title. The guy who lost the title back in July and is only getting a rematch because he cried, bitched and moaned about it. Pence, you may want the title, but guess what, your not good enough for the title. I’ve been in APW since day freakin 1 and I know who deserves it, and there’s no one, and I mean no one in APW that deserves the world title more than Level One.
If The AKA, Nunez and Pence think that they have a shot at winning on Overdrive, or even at One Night in Hell, then those clowns have another thing coming. Because together, when you have Victor Hades, the fastest rising star in APW at the moment, The Axis of Awesome, A team that holds two thirds of the titles in APW, and the APW World Champion Level One on the same side, that’s just a recipe for pure greatness. It makes us a greater team then Pure Innovation, Sex and Violence, or any other team for that matter. When you take 4 of the best and put them together, its creates the perfect team.
The thing about this match for me is that, star power wise, this is the biggest match of my career. Its one thing to fight for a belt, or be in a match with a crazy gimmick to it and calling it the biggest match of your life, but as a learning experience, this is it. I’ve been in the ring with lots of guys that’s come through APW, and I’ve learned a lot, but never once have I been on the same side as Level One, or Victor Hades. Biggs, We been buddies since his first day in APW. But as someone who has only been in this business for almost two years, I still have lots to learn, and I’m going to soak up all the knowledge I can, like a sponge. Any knowledge I can get from seasoned veteran wrestlers is anything but beneficial for me. And anything beneficial for me, makes me just that much better that my pervious match, and makes my chances of keeping my Xtreme Title for one full year, that more believable.
This match, is right down my ally. No weapons, no garbage wrestling, just 8 of the best in APW battling it out. And even though this match doesn’t really show who’s better than who, cause anything can happen in a match like this, but one thing that we can guarantee, this is a sneak preview to One Night in Hell and the better team will prevail. There’s team experience on both sides, but one major thing that’s may be the down fall of the other team, is the question, Can Pence and Jesse get along. It wasn’t long ago when Pence blasted Jesse, purposely with a chair, costing him the world title so he could face Level One. Jesse tried for Revenge, but did he really get it? Jesse Nunez, he’s the wild card in this match, but it doesn’t matter what kind a shape Jesse is in. Who he trust and doesn’t. Focused or not, because at the end of the night, it’s not going to matter which 4 men faces The Axis, Hades and Level One, because either way, we’re coming out on top. And Like it or not, at the end of the night, when The AKA, Jesse and Pence are laid out on the mat, they will know for a fact that the perfect team, is indeed in fact, AWESOME!
As Chris finishes his promo, Biggs walks in along with the Russian officer and The Beast has a smirk on his face.
Biggs: Public Urination? You got arrested in Russia for Public Urinations?
Chris: I said it was a misunderstanding?
Biggs: Couldn’t you just hold it in.
Chris: I could have, but I could have gotten Uromysitisis poisoning and die
Biggs: Yah Right. I bailed you out, lets get out of here.
The Officer opens the cell and Chris walks out.
Chris: You know I have been issued a public urination pass by the city because of my condition. Unfortunately my little brother ran out of the house with it this morning.
Biggs: You’ve been watching too much Seinfeld.
Chris: Lets go.
Chris walks out embarrassed as Biggs and The Beast are laughing as the scene fades to black.
Chris: Come on, turn that off, its bad enough that I’m in here.
