The old saying that life isn't easy seems to be running true for John Green. Just one week from losing the World Championship match, he finds that he once again has to head to hell and back to show he wants the title strap. Test For The Best is in the future for him, but Overdrive lies before then. Mr. Strange, the number one contender fot the Overdrive Championship, will face John Green. Can John overcome Mr. Strange and show he wants to fight the World Champ at Test For The Best?

John is laying down on a couch watching Air Force One on the small television in front of him. In the background Eddie is talking with an unknown man, and looking at some blueprints on the table.
Harrison Ford- GET OFF MY PLANE!
John- YOU TELL THEM HARRISON! YOU TELL THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS TO GET OFF YOUR PLANE!
Eddie - Calm down over there, some of us have work to do.
John- Hey, I give the orders around here damn it. Jackson has nothing on Ford, now get off my plane before I kick you off.
Eddie - (sigh) Come here man, we gotta talk.
John heads over to the table where Eddie is making some markings on the blueprints.
Eddie - Ok.. see this? The X is us. We're here with Agent Carl. And this drawing another X is where we need to get.
John- So let's go?
Eddie - Not that simple. See, If I want to get you there alive and save my own ass at the same time. We have to plan this out. CIA style so to speak.
John- You really think they followed us to Carls? I'm sure whomever has a vendetta against me has already given up.
Eddie - Don't be so sure about that. See, you're not a big name again. That match you were in, just so happened to secure you a spot on everyones hitlist. You said it yourself, you've fucked people over in the past, and alot of them would want to get revenge.
John- This still doesn't make any sense though. All we have to go off of is cocaine dealers and there dealers.
Eddie - Exactly why we have to get here points to the X.
John- Why there?
Eddie - A personal storage area that I rented out a long time ago. It's got a few things there that we may need.
John- More guns?
Eddie - Ever drove a bulletproof vehicle? Just think of me as James Bond. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve.
John- Roger Moore?
Eddie - Sean Connery. I'm the original, nobody ever replaced me.
John- So you're the original CIA agent?
Eddie - No, that would be Carl here. But I broke all his records in my rookie days.
Carl- As he reminds me about every time he sees me.
John- Is he coming with us?
Carl- Indeed.. Eddie here has convinced me to join your cause. Even though I retired many many years ago, I still feel it's my duty to help protect the innocent as much as possible.
John- Oh I'm not innocent though. I got myself into this mess.
Carl- Regardless, you can't defend yourself against unknown attackers. You have any idea who would be doing this though? Any names? Maybe even a description for the database?
John- Nope, I've done alot of drugs in my time, everythings pretty much a haze in my mind.
Carl- Great...
John- My guess would be there either a Columbian, or some Latinos.
Carl- If you're being targetted in these areas, you're dealing with Columbians. After all, we are in Columbia.
Eddie - In other news... I think we should move before dawn.
Carl- Excellent idea Eddie . I can see why you managed to beat my records. While I was busy socializing with the women, you were busy slitting throats in the dark. Ha ha.
John get's a terrified look on his face
Carl- Don't worry about him, you're in good hands.
John- Eddie ...
Eddie - Uhh..
John- Are you going to slit someones throat?
Eddie - Survival of the fittest, I do what needs to be done.
John- Oh.. this is going to get crazy real fast isn't it?
Eddie - Yeah.. we're gonna get those bastards before they get you.
John- They got Tony though.. I still can't believe that.
Carl- My condolences. But in our line of work, we have only a split second between human emotions, and staying alive. And right now, we need to stay alive. The cars waiting.
John, Eddie , and Carl all head towards the car that will get them to their next destination.
--
Cruising down the road, John sparks up a cigarette and looks out the window.
John- Really makes you wonder who's out there doesn't it? I mean.. knowing that somewhere in those woods there might be a sniper with my name on his bullet.
Carl- Relax.. it's to dark to make a proper shot. Even nightvision couldn't help him against tinted windows.
John- I guess you're right.
Carl- But then again, thermal light is another story.
John- ....
Carl- Relax.. you're safe tonight. Besides, pulls out a silenced pistol We do carry live ammunition.
John- When do I get a gun?
Carl- When you stop being paranoid of the slightest sound. We don't need you shooting up a twig.
Eddie - There's the spot, coming up on the left.
Eddie points out the window where you can see a well surronded by some bushes. A path leads to it and beyond, as Eddie cuts the headlights.
John- There's a house back there?
Eddie - No, just a firepit.
John- Umm.. what happened to having the storage place?
Eddie - Trust me John, we're here. I'd never forget this place. Carl showed it to me many years ago.
Carl- That I did. It's served me well in my time, and I took Eddie in like a father. Taught him everything I know, and watched him surpass me.
John- Uh oh.. sounds like storytime for John.
Carl- Well, you brought it up.

Sunday June 15th, 1996. Approximatly 2 pm
A younger looking Carl has his door wide open, and is staring at Eddie Bradly. Carl had invited Eddie to his house for the summer, and was very excited to meet the man who some were hailing as "The next Carl". He had already broken the physical performance records that Carl had set a good twenty years ago.
Carl- Eddie ?
Eddie - Yes sir. It's a pleasure to meet a legend such as yourself.
Carl- More so a pleasure to meet a future legend like yourself. You've got quite a name kid.
Eddie - So I've been told. Either way, I do appreciate the invite to stay with you this summer. As everyone knows, I don't have a family to go home to.
Carl- Yes.. it's a shame what happened to your parents. I still hold myself responsible to this very day.. then again.. I'm sure you've heard the story countless times.
Eddie (with a knot in his throat)- Uhh.. yeah.. I've heard it since I was a kid. You did what you was needed to stay alive.
Carl- I'm sure you know that I retired shortly after that.. I felt it was neccessary. I couldn't cut in the field anymore.
Eddie - I'd rather not talk about it sir.
Carl- Ah.. understandable. Well, come on in then.
Carl invites Eddie inside his house, where he shows him around.
Carl- This will be your room. You can put your suitcase on the bed for now. I'm sure the agency told you why I asked you here.
Eddie - Special training is all I was told.
Carl- A little bit more then special training. You'll be doing an infiltration mission.
Eddie - Now that.. I wasn't told.
Carl- Follow me, we need a secure place to talk.
Carl leads Eddie outside to his garage where they get into a black car. They drive down the road to the same location, and spot the same well. Carl gets out and motions for Eddie to follow him. Looking around to make sure nobody is watching, Carl starts pulling up the well bucket. It's big enough to fit a human adult, as Eddie finds out when Carl climbs inside and begins slowly descending. He shouts up for Eddie to do the same. Once they both reach the bottom, and adjust to the pitch black darkness, Carl pulls out a flashlight and turns it on. It looks just like an empty well, until he presses in on a brick. The "wall" in surronding them, begins to slide back in one location, as they quickly enter it. It slides closed behind them as Carls flashlight shines down a the long dirt tunnel.
Carl- I built this place when I was in my prime. Nobody has ever figured it out. I'm sure a few people have looked down the well, but nobody really knows what secrets it holds. I remember during the Cold War, I spent an entire year down here. Just listening in on the radio waves, encoding and decoding messages. Those were some tough times.
Eddie - I couldn't even imagine living down here for that long. Surely you must have gone insane.
Carl- At time I came close, but that's why we were special operations. We can handle situations like that.
They reach the end of the tunnel and find a solid oak part of the wall, with a keypad for a lock. Carl puts in a 10 digit code and the door slides open. Inside are a variety of military weapons, ranging from handguns to assault rifles. Body armor hangs on the wall, and a simple personal computer rests on a desk.
Carl- The first part of your training is to become familiar with this room. It served me well, and it shall serve you well to.
Eddie - I don't have to stay down here for a year do I?
Carl- No, not a year. But you will be down here all alone for the next month. There's plenty of novels to read around here, and that computer should keep you satisfied for writing any thoughts you have while down here. And while you may spot alot of guns around.. I took the liberty of removing any live ammunition. I don't think I need to explain why.
Eddie - No, not at all.
Carl- There's food in the back parts, enough to last you a decade down here if you had to. Standard CIA issued, welcome to the big leagues kid.
Eddie - And what a welcome it is..
Carl- Keep yourself entertained, I'll be back in a month.
Eddie - Wai..
Before Eddie can finish his sentence, Carls hand shoots out and finds it marks. Right on the pressure point located on Eddie s neck. Eddie drops to the ground out cold as Carl exits the room.
Carl- Good luck kid.. you're gonna need it.
--
Present Day, outside "The Well"
John- And then...
Carl- And then what?
John- You didn't finish the story. You just left him there out cold.
Eddie - (sigh) You're a bit slow aren't you John.
John- Umm.. no?
Eddie - If I'm here alive in the car right now, then obviously I endured that month of torture.
John- Did you go insane?
Eddie - Oh yeah.. there's only so many times one can read "How to Kill a Mockingbird' without knowing it off by heart.
Carl- Ah.. but a great piece of litterature it is. I do recall memorizing it myself over that long year.
Eddie and Carl- Lot ninety-seven," the auctioneer announced. "A boy."
John- Huh?
Eddie and Carl share a laugh as they exit the car and head over to the well.
Eddie - After you Carl.. after all it is your secret.
Carl- Ah but after you Eddie , I did pass it on to you.
John- Umm.. what do I have to do?
Carl- Eddie, care to explain?
Eddie - Well, pull up the bucket, climb in, and get to the bottom in one piece. Like so..
Eddie pulls up the empty bucket and climbs in, descending to the bottom, he lets Carl pull it back up. After all three of them are at the bottom, Eddie pushes the secret brick and heads inside the tunnel that he has travelled countless times in the past. No flashlight is needed anymore as he remembers his exact footsteps from his first venture into the unknown.

Outside "The Well"
The nightvision had proven well, at least until they dissapeared down the well. I had specifically asked for a pair of thermal goggles, but they said it was impossible to get. Pssh, multi million dollar drug lords can find anything, they just didn't want me getting to close to their "prized target'. My orders are simple, keep track of his movements until further notice. My guess is they'll want him alive, whatever this man did, he will soon regret it. I guess it's time for a report.
In the distance, hidden withing the forest, is a lone masked man. He pulls out his cellphone and expertly dials the number he wants. Placing the phone to his ear, he places his call.
Guy- Hey.. it's me. Just thought I'd let you know that he's got two people with him. Yes.. I understand that it compromises my mission. Yes, I understand you don't want any fatalities. But Brian.. the same can't be said for them. He's paranoid now, I think it's time we acted. Yes sir.. cancelling mission until further notice. I'll meet you at the helicopter. It's about time I met the infamous Brian O'Dea.

Inside "The Well" Secret Room
Eddie has opened up the solid oak door via the keypad, and turns on the lights as him, Carl, and John all enter the room. Johns eyes widen as he spots all the guns and other equipment. Eddie looks over at him and laughs a little.
Eddie - You're like me 10 years ago, you know that right? I mean, minus the CIA training and all that cool stuff.
John- You're not going to lock me in here for a month are you?
Carl- Ha ha, no, we're not that cruel.
Eddie - Besides, we have to get you Overdrive in Mexico in one piece.
John- Oh shit.. yeah Breakdown. Gotta fight Strange.
Carl- Umm... that compromises our plan Eddie .
Eddie - Yeah but Carl, see.. it makes me more money, and allows me to keep an eye on him. Nobody would go after John on his own show.
Carl- Regardless, I think I should go.
Eddie - John? What do you think?
John- He should hide in the crowd, ya know.. extra protection. Hey do you have a video camera down here? Or like maybe a speech recorder.
Carl- Indeed I do. It gets lonely down here and sometimes you learn more about yourself by taping your thoughts over the long months spent down here.
Carl walks over to the computer table, and picks up an old school speech recorder.
Carl- Might not be glamourous but I"ll be damned if this thing doesn't get you a free phone call ever once in awhile.
John- You do that? I thought it was just a myth.
Carl- Untraced phone calls from payphones, I used to contact Eddie when he was in Japan for a few years.
John- Japan.. I was in Japan for a few years.
Eddie - Really?
John- Yeah.. while you guys were slitting throats, I was throwing people into glass, explosives and beds of nails.
Eddie - No wonder you remind me of myself. Jesus christ.
John- Anyways.. what's the plan now?
Eddie - Carl and I are going to discuss what to do next. If you want, you go an exploring. Not like there's much to explore.
John- Cool, gives me time to at least get a speech promo going.
--
John puts a fresh cassette into the recorder, and presses record.
John- Ladies and Gentleman, it is the one.. the only.. the true showstopper.. known to the world simply as, The Real Fuckin Deal' John Green. How yall doing? To be honest, I don't give a damn. But I do want to know how Mr. Strange is doing. I mean.. I am going to piledrive you from the top turnbuckle to the outside cocrete, and make sure you land right on your head. That's gotta scramble a few brain cells just thinking about it. I guess that's why he probably thinks he can beat me this week. But hear me out Strange . You can't. Nobody can.. Pence couldn't pin me. HE had to pin Level One to end the match. No one can defeat me.. I will become that untouchable monster that you all witnessed a year ago. And it's only fitting that the most notorious monsters of APW has returned at the same time. Yes.. Pence. Welcome back to the top like you were in EWC. Not like you're gonna stay there but welcome back. I still have a score to settle with you. And it involves the world title. Now I may have lost but I will be the number one contender for your title at Test For The Best. It feels great on my end. But this week isn't about you Pence, so I'll save my breath for our next encounter. No.. this week belongs to Mr. Strange .
John- Strange .. by now you know who I am. I'm the guy who stops you before you reach what you desire so much. The Overdrive title, is within your grasps. But dun dun dun... look who's there to stop you. John Green is that's who. I will destroy your being before you can even go to Test For The Best for Your so-called Shot. See Strange , don't bother talking a bunch of bullshit. Tell it like it really is. Tell the world what I already know. Tell them that John Green is really better then you. Tell them that no matter how hard you try, you will never ever gain the Overdrive title. Tell them that you're not worth there time and money. And to give it to someone more deserving. Someone like Level One maybe. You see Strange , nobody wants you to win. In fact, to be quite perfectly honest with you. I don't even want the match between us to take place. It's pointless and futile to even come at me with everything you've got.
John- You see Strange .. you don't have a chance in hell of defeating me. I'm supposed to competing against someone more capable of my talent. Yes I am cocky I must say. You should just walk in and let me pin you and walk out. And that should to continue for a long long time. I mean it's not like you're going to defeat Shadow for the title Strange. So you beat useless fuck that just signed with APW,Whoopty-fuckin-doo. He is nothing more than pure jobber. Just like Jason Royce. And just like YOU. If you think you can take me on than bring it. So that leads me to my next idea. Strange .. if you really, and I mean really want a shot at me. Listen. Save your energy, save your breath, hell.. just show up at Overdrive and try your best though it won't be enough. I'll defeat you, and I'll be fresh for Test For The Best. That's where you need to focus Strange. And come Test For The Best Pence Weatherlight, we'll go out there and show the entire world, just why we are the best in APW. And too you Strange. I hope you do the right thing Strange .. it's only logical.
John stops recording, and pops the cassette out. With an arrogant grin on his face, he starts to head back to where Carl and Eddie are discussing their plans.

OOC: Not The best I know. I was helping my family with things but I got something up at least.
