The scene opens in a big open boardroom in the advertising department of the EA sports corporate offices, a group of men are sitting around a large table with a copy of APW 2009 for Xbox 360 in there hands. The men converse amongst themselves about the package design and things of that nature, all you can see on the case is President Jeff standing in the middle with Carl Cruz to the right of him and John Green to the left.
Man 1: This is gonna fail, we as a company went all the way with this game then APW goes and sends us a wrestler to promote it who hasn't even appeared in a match yet at APW.
Man 2: Look Thompson, as I told you earlier, Carl Cruz showed himself to be more than capable during filming and I believe by the time the games release date approaches Cruz will be just the star we need.
Man 1: I bet Carl Cruz even paid you to say that, yeah thats right I watched APW and saw Cruz try to buy his way into the Test of the Best tournament it sickens me. Also if my opinion is irrelevent to you I may as well just jump in my damn Merc and be gone.
Man 2: No Cruz didn't pay me although I wished he did and the doors open.
It is at the moment that "The Money Maker" Carl Cruz, dressed in a black and grey pinstripe Armani suit, white shirt, and a black and grey pinstripe tie wonders into the room. Cruz takes an empty seat at the table and just smirks at the men with a rather cocky smile.
Man 1: What time do you call this Mr Cruz?
Carl Cruz: I firgured helping the poor girl outside who had just hit the sweet looking Mercedes CLK was more important than walking through the door on time.
A few of the men stiffle laughter as Thompson literally falls a**e over head trying to run out the door.
Man 2: We fully understand that Mr Cruz and accept that, now as Mr Cruz is here we may as well just get on with it.
They all grow quite as the man speaking walks to the front of the room and presses a button similar to a light switch on the wall, a video screen comes down from the ceiling and the man speaks again.
Man 2: I now present to you, the commercial for APW 2009!!!
The man hits another button which brings the screen to life, the camera focuses in on the screen....
The scene opens with a teenage boy sitting infront of a TV with a Xbox 360 controller in his hands, the camera moves behind him to show that he is playing APW 2009, more importantly he is controlling Carl Cruz in career mode. As the video game version of Cruz hit's his finish and go for the pin on his opponent the TV starts to shake, the boy throws down the controller and jumps back onto his bed as Carl Cruz comes crashing through the TV screen onto the boy's floor. Cruz stands up and dusts the galss off as the rather shocked kid attempts to speak.
Kid: Yo....You....Your Carl Cruz from APW!!!
Carl Cruz: You're pretty smart, I thought I was Super Mario and when I said pretty I didn't mean it boy look at you, your face is covered in spots and you look like a younger John Green and thats not good kid.
Kid: What are you doing here?
Carl Cruz: This is APW 2009, I'm here to fight!
Kid: But....it's just a game.
The camera zooms in and focuses on Cruz's face as he shouts.
Carl Cruz: APW 2009..........it's not just a game!!!
With that the scene fades out. The shot goes back to the men sitting around the table clapping, a few man leave so Cruz quickly sneaks out of the room. Cruz passes the owner of the Merc on his way out and smirks as the man F's and blinds at everyone within ear shot. Cruz makes it all the way through the building and out to his black Lambo before acknowledging the camera.
Carl Cruz: I don't have much to say about my opponent John Green but the one thing I will say is I will beat you and yeah people may say it's going to be hard but when your Carl Cruz nothing is hard so see ya loser!!!
