* The scene opens up backstage at the Bell Center in Montreal Quebec, Canada. APW Overdrive is set to go on the air in just a matter of minutes. The fans are finding their seats in the arena all wearing their favorite APW Superstar gear they bought tonight and over the years. The titantron lights up as Cindy is the interviewer of the APW shows up on the screen to the cheers of the fans.*
Cindy: “Ladies and gentlemen. Overdrive is set to go live on the air in just a matter of minutes. But before we go on the air, I have a special interview set to take place right now. Please welcome my guest at this time, the current number one contender for the World Championship, Jesse Nunez.”
* The fans in the arena cheer as Jesse steps into the scene. Jesse is with his wife Victoria by his side.*
Cindy: “Jesse last week at the contract signing, Level One tried to take you out of the title match at Shockwave by hitting you with a cheap shot and knocking you out with a headshot with the World Heavyweight title. How do you plan to come back from that?”
Jesse Nunez: “Well Cindy as you can see right now, I’m standing before you still as the number one contender for Level One’s championship. He didn’t kill me nor do I expect him to kill me in the weeks leading into Shockwave. What he did was cheap and a bit woman like by kickin’ me in the groin. I expected more from Level One being a champion in all. But the fact that he is doing everything he can to get me out of this match just shows that he fears Jesse Nunez. He can deny it all he wants but everyone knows its true. Now what am I gonna do to get back at him? Well I don’t have to do anything really. Pence did all my dirty work for me by putting Level One’s ass through the table.”
Cindy: “That’s another thing I wanted to ask you. What are your thoughts on Pence Weatherlight becoming the special guest referee in your match against Level One?”
Jesse Nunez: “Pence is the former World Champion. He still has yet to receive his rematch for the title. With that he might be a lil’ pissed off that I get a shot before him, but he knows the rules at Test for the Best, Hell, its because of him that I was even put into that tournament. I don’t think there would be any hard feelings between him and I. But if he did intend to interfere with how I do things in that ring that night then I guess we will have a problem.”
Cindy: “Now tonight you go one on one with Jason Royce. What is your strategy going into this match?”
Jesse Nunez: “My strategy? Just beat him. I mean isn’t that what everyone does when they have to face Jason Royce?”
