Backstage at APW House Show
* The scene opens up showing the hallways backstage at the Action Packed Wrestling house show just days before Overdrive in New Jersey. People backstage are working, going through papers, moving equipment, chatting with other superstars and or workers, or just relaxing during their break. A man and a woman are walking with each other down the hall. Everyone backstage stops what they are doing and stares at the two. Max Carter is backstage talking to a man with a headset.*
Max Carter: “Just go tell John Green that his match is coming up in about twenty minutes.”
* The man walks off toward the opposite direction and Max looks up to see the man and the woman walking by him.*
Max Carter: “Hey there! You made it.”
* The scene then reveals the man and woman to be Jesse Nunez and his new manager Victoria. Max Carter walks over to the two and they all shake hands.*
Jesse Nunez: “Well can’t miss the first day right?”
Max Carter: “Right, well you don’t have a match or a promo scheduled for tonight. I just asked you to come down here so you could meet some of the guys. You know get acquainted with some new faces, say hello to the old guys from EWC.”
Jesse Nunez: “Yeah that sounds good.”
Max Carter: “Still can’t believe I got you here. I didn’t think you would leave EWC like the others did.”
Jesse Nunez: “I didn’t leave EWC. I’m still with them; I’m just doing APW too. Besides you know EWC isn’t goin’ to last that long. I’ll just stay with them until the end.”
Max Carter: “Oh so you’re not like Level One who claims that EWC corrupted him and never gave him anything.”
Jesse Nunez: “He said that? That son-of-a-bitch. EWC handed him everything! Shadow Man gave him his shot at the top. I had to work my ass off for two long years before I got my fair shot at a World Title! That ungrateful punk, what is he here?”
Max Carter: “The World Champion.”
Jesse Nunez: “Figures.”
Max Carter: “What?”
Jesse Nunez: “Looks like he’s already suckin’ Jeff’s dick like he did Mac’s over in EWC.”
* The man with the headset walks by them again to let Max know he told Green about his match.*
Jesse Nunez: “You.”
* The man looks at Jesse. Jesse tosses him his bag and Victoria’s bag.*
Jesse Nunez: “Take this to my locker room.”
* Jesse begins to walk off with Victoria.*
Max Carter: “Where you going?”
Jesse Nunez: “I’m about to let Action Packed Wrestling know, I am here.”
Max Carter: “But John Green has a match!”
Jesse Nunez: “Tell him to go back to his closet.”
* Jesse and Victoria leave Max standing where he is as they make their way toward the guerrilla position.*
Promo: The Debut
So, you think you're untouchable?
* "Basic Thugonomics Remix" begins to play on the PA. People in the arena jump out of their seats, not knowing what is happening. They check around the arena and still see they are at an Action Packed Wrestling house show. Then they look toward the stage area and see a man standing there looking down at his feet with his forearms crossed in front of him. He stands there for a few moments and then he lifts his head up and gives a smirk as he then puts his arms in the air doing the “Word Life” hands as the fans cheer seeing Jesse Nunez. People notice Jesse with his manager Victoria. Jesse is wearing his new black "The Prodigy" t-shirt with a chain with dog tags around his neck. He also has on a black hat on his head. The hat reads "The Prodigy" on the front and his name on the back, the hat is tilted slightly to the right of his head so that is barely covering over his right eye but he could still see and you could still see his eye barely. Every time the song starts to scratch, Jesse does the “You Can’t See Me” wave with his right arm which has the black basketball shooting sleeve on it.
Jesse Nunez:

*Jesse is clapping hands with fans going down the ramp.*
Ring Announcer: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome. From Phoenix, Arizona, Jesse "The Prodigy" Nuñez!”
* Jesse looks around the stadium and sees everybody cheering him around the arena. He then slides into the ring. As he stands up he looks around at the fans once more. Jesse walks toward the ropes and sits on the middle rope and lifts the top rope up as Victoria enters the ring with cheers from the male fans. Jesse picks up the microphone that was left in the ring for him and his music dies down.*
Jesse Nunez: “No need to check your programs or your tickets New York you are in the right place! This is Action Packed Wrestling and you really do see what you think you are seeing. The Prodigy is here!”
* The fans cheer.*
Jesse Nunez: “That’s right, for those of you who didn’t hear the news; I signed a contract a few weeks ago and here I am ready to work. Now I know what you are thinking. Aren’t you the EwC United States Champion? Why did you leave Extreme Wrestling Corporation and come here? Well those are very good questions, and that is why I am out here before you tonight. For you are right, I am the EwC United States Champion, but in my contract over there it says I have the freedom to work wherever I want as long as it does not interfere with my work over there.”
“Besides I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to come wrestle here. I mean look at this place, APW is the fastest rising wrestling program on television right now. You didn’t think The Prodigy was just gonna sit back and watch the show!? I am the show! Max Carter faxed me over a contract and dammit I signed that thing and here I am!”
* Jesse pauses.*
Jesse Nunez: “Now I’m not just out here to bring you good news. I’m out here to bring ya even better news! This week on Overdrive I have my first match ever in an APW ring! Apparently, Hurricane Jeff still has some issues with me, well because he has me goin’ up against the current APW Overdrive champion.”
* The fans give a mix reaction.*
Jesse Nunez: “I know right? So I guess this guy is supposed to be really good, he won that Overdrive championship in only his second match. And that’s not all! He did it in only fifteen seconds, fifteen seconds! Man does this boy get things done fast. That’s probably the reason why his girl left him.”
* The fans yelled out “Oh!” and begin to laugh.*
Jesse Nunez: “Other than that though, who is this guy? Haven’t heard of this guy on the scene. Is that his first championship? Does he have an undefeated record? Can he jump off the titantron through a table? Can he lift over five hundred pounds on his shoulders? I mean who is Shadow really?”
* Jesse gets out of the ring and walks up to a man at ringside wearing a Level One t-shirt.*
Jesse Nunez: “Do you know who he is?”
Man: “No.”
* Jesse Nunez walks over to a boy wearing an old Jesse Nunez shirt from Extreme Wrestling Corporation.*
Jesse Nunez: “How about you kid? Do you know who Shadow is?”
Kid: “Shadow Man?”
Jesse Nunez: “No not him, he’s out making movies. I’m askin’ for Shadow.”
Kid: “Oh, well nope.”
* Jesse Nunez then walks over to a woman standing over at the corner next to the ramp. She seems excited to see Jesse going towards her.*
Jesse Nunez: “How about you beautiful? Do you know who Shadow is?”
Woman: “I wanna Fu…”
* Jesse moves the microphone away from her.*
Jesse Nunez: “Easy lady there’s kids in here!”
* Jesse looks up at Victoria standing in the ring giving the woman a dirty look. Jesse slides back into the ring.*
Jesse Nunez: “Who is Shadow!? I never heard of the guy and apparently none of you have either and you guys have been here longer than me! You see Shadow, just because you have a championship belt around yo’ waist, doesn’t mean you’re a champion. You beating a nobody don’t make you a somebody. I’m only nineteen and Shadow I’m known all around the damn world. I’ve held more championships than you have seen a girl naked on the internet. I’m the greatest thing that has ever happened to Action Packed Wrestling since the day they decided to put up a damn ring in the back of Jeff’s house! And after I’m done kickin’ yo’ ass in front of the whole world to see, they will see that you are no champion. The guys in the back will be put on notice, because the best is finally here! I am the very thing that guys like you want to be. Shadow for I am the dream and you are the dreamer.”
* Jesse Nunez drops the microphone to the mat as his music begins to play over the PA system once more. Jesse and Victoria leave the ring with the cheers from the fans as the scene begins to fade.*
End of Scene
