The Wedding
* The scene opens up in Boston, Massachusetts inside the Back Bay Events Center. There are over one thousand people in attendance. They are all taking their seats in front of the large stage set up for a wedding. Everyone is dressed up for the occasion. There is a large ramp at the middle of the stage going over the opera pit down to the floor where the seats are at. The place has been filling up for over an hour. The street outside the building has been packed with regular people; most of them are wearing Jesse Nuñez merchandise. Paparazzi and entertainment news crews have very little access to the private event. There is security all around the building keeping order outside making sure those not invited to the ceremony do not enter.*
*The scene opens up to an “E” News reporter standing in front of the camera in front of the building. Security is in the background of the shot along with people hoping to get a glimpse to what is happening.*
E News: “I’m out here today on Tuesday May 12 outside the Back Bay Events Center in Boston Massachusetts. Where Jesse Nuñez, who has sold millions of rap albums across the world, made two hit movies, and has won many World Championships in his wrestling career is set to get married to his bride to be who’s name cannot be given due to it being very private.”
“Sources close to Jesse Nuñez say they do not want his wife’s name being released just yet. No actual reason as to why that is but it was said that the two have planned to have a private ceremony but due to the large guest list and little privacy the wrestler receives there was no choice but to have the wedding here. The actual wedding is set to take place at noon today, which is actually in a little less than ten minutes.”
* Back inside the Back Bay Events Center, where everyone is now seated, people begin to fill up the stage. Back behind the scenes there is a room where a man stands in front of the mirror. The man is Jesse Nuñez who is looking very good in his tuxedo. Although he keeps readjusting his tux in many different ways not being happy as to what he is wearing. There is a knock on the door.*
Jesse Nuñez: “Come in.”
* The door opens and in comes The Anarchist, Jesse’s cousin and tag team partner, who for the first time in his life is wearing something nice. Jesse turns around and sees his cousin walk in. Jesse walks over to a chair next to a glass table and sits down.*
Anarchist: “Everyone is out there. All the wrestlers, celebrities, friends, and family are all there waiting for you.”
Jesse Nuñez: “What am I doing here? Why am I here?”
Anarchist: “What are you talking about? You are here to get married. That’s kinda what you asked for when you asked Victoria to marry you.”
Jesse Nuñez: “I know, but after all these years going through girlfriend after girlfriend, I’m not too sure anymore. I feel different when I’m with her ya know? Like I’m ready, but I don’t dude. I just don’t wanna fuck things up like I’ve done in the past.”
Anarchist: “Jay, trust me. She loves you. If she didn’t do you think she would’ve said yes. Now come on, don’t want to leave Vic alone at there do you?”
Jesse Nuñez: “I guess you’re right. But knowing my luck, she is gonna be one of those runaway brides you see in movies.”
* Anarchist laughs as the two head out. Back in the John Hancock Hall where the actual ceremony is being taken place everyone is talking to those around them. Anarchist steps out onto the stage followed by two other people not known but seems to be Jesse’s other two best men. Jesse comes walking out with a nervous smile on his face. His hair is spiked up and it could be seen a very large watch on his left wrist underneath his sleeve. In the front row are Jesse’s parents and his younger sister. His father who is Mexican and his mother who is white with some Spanish descent, which explains Jesse’s skin color and last name, are all smiles. The mom looks over at the dad.*
Jesse’s Mom: “I don’t see how this is going to work.”
Jesse’s Dad: “Just give it a rest.”
Jesse’s Mom: “Well think of our grandchildren. I don’t want them to be Mormon.”
Jesse’s Dad: “Just because she’s Mormon, it doesn’t mean their kids are going to be. They haven’t even started talking about kids yet.”
Jesse’s Mom: “But the kids always take after the mother’s religion. You’re just lucky we are both Catholic and he was going to be that way no matter what.”
* The classic “Here Comes the Bride” music begins to play over the speakers in the humongous auditorium. At the top where the people entered the hall; two doors are open. Out come the five bride’s maids, who all happen to be Victoria’s younger sisters. The last bride’s maid to come out is the second oldest in the family is Brooke who Jesse is also very good friends with. After her is Victoria in her white dress walking with her father. Everyone is standing with aw. It is quite a long walk to where Jesse is standing at, but Jesse could see her smile from where he stands.*
* There are two very large High Definition screens above Jesse toward the ceiling so people can see what is happening on stage, but right now the camera is on the bride. It takes her two minutes to get to the ramp down by the stage. She follows her bride’s maids up the ramp onto the stage. One by one her bride’s maids line up beside her as she stands now in front of Jesse. There are several cameramen recording the ceremony and several more taking pictures.*
Jesse Nuñez: “You look beautiful.”
Victoria: “Thank you.”
Pastor: "We are gathered together on this beautiful afternoon to share with Victoria and Jesus as they exchange vows of their everlasting love.”
“Who gives this woman to be married to this man?”
Victoria’s Dad: “Her Mother & I.”
* He places his daughter’s hand in Jesse’s. Jesse and Victoria look forward at the pastor. Victoria’s dad walks down to where his wife is seated and sits next to her. The two seem to be very excited showing their smiles and sharing a laugh or two before the ceremony continues.*
Victoria’s Mom: “Isn’t this wonderful?”
Victoria’s Dad: “She is too young to be getting married.”
Victoria’s Mom: “I know, but she is a smart girl; she knows what she is doing.”
Victoria’s Dad: “She just finished high school; she should be going to college and having fun. Not settling down with him.”
Victoria’s Mom: “Honey, she is still going to go to school, she is just going to be married and besides Jesse is a good kid, and he is even going to pay for her tuition, books, and other things for school. Also in case you haven’t noticed, look who he is.”
Victoria’s Dad: “I know who he is.”
Victoria’s Mom: “Of course you know, they’ve been friends ever since he was in high school.”
Victoria’s Dad: “Yeah but he is no longer just a friend now is he? Have you seen his track record with girls? He’s barely had a girlfriend a month! He is always with a new one every month.”
Victoria’s Mom: “And how do you know that?”
Victoria’s Dad: “Wikipedia.”
Victoria’s Mom: “Whatever, I think he is perfect for her.”
Pastor: “As Victoria and Jesus take their vows today, we are privileged to witness the joyous love of a new family -- a family that will be nourished and nurtured through the devotion of two separate individuals growing together through the common bonds of love. May their marriage bring them the peace, joy, comfort and contentment that are known in the hearts of all God's children. And may Jesus and Victoria both look forward to each new season of their marriage --- just as the world looks forward to each new season of the year. For all seasons bring with them their own special moments and memories. An essential requirement of a good marriage is a strong bond of real friendship and trust. Victoria and Jesus, your love for each other will grow deeper with every passing day, but it's important to remember that your love stands on a foundation of genuine, mutual affection and respect for each other. To truly LOVE another person is to be willing to accept both their strong points, and their weak points, with equal measures of understanding and respect.
The vows you are about to exchange, will serve as a verbal representation of the non-verbal emotions that are as real as any thing that can be seen, heard or touched.
For it is not the words that you will speak today that will bond you together as one --- but the strength of the love and commitment found deep within your souls.”
“Please put the rings on that you got each other.”
* The two put each other’s rings on.*
Pastor: “At this time, I’ll ask you, Jesus, and you, Victoria, to face each other and take each other’s hands.”
“Jesus, will you take Victoria to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?”
Jesse Nuñez: “I do.”
Pastor: “Victoria, will you take Jesus to be your husband, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor him, laugh with him and cry with him? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?”
Victoria: “I do.”
* The two smile.*
Pastor: “Now is there anyone out there who believes this lovely couple should not get married. Speak now or forever hold your peace.”
* Just then the two double doors to enter and exit the auditorium bust open and in come running in Jesse’s past ex-girlfriends; including Mariela, Kelly, Melina, Sophia, and Alyssa. Jesse, Victoria, and everyone in the building look over at the women.*
Jesse Nuñez: “Uh-oh.”
*Jesse looks over at a security guard to the side of the stage.*
Jesse Nuñez: “Get em’ outta here!”
* The security guard grabs his walkie talkie and says something while running up toward the women.*
Alyssa: “Jesse you can’t get married to her! She doesn’t love you like we do! And…”
* As she is talking five security guards come up from behind and lift them up to carry them out. Everyone in the building begin mumbling to one another. Melina though puts up a fight and jumps off the shoulders of the big black security guard. She looks like she is about run down toward the stage, but as she gets close, former F.O.R.C.E. member Angel jumps out of her seat and tackles Melina to the ground. Everyone cheers and even Jesse gives a chuckle. Two security guards lift Melina off the ground and take her outside the building. Angel gets up with a smile and heads back to her seat.*
* Jesse looks over at Victoria.*
Jesse Nuñez: “I’m sorry I didn’t know.”
Victoria: “It’s okay.”
* She says with a smile. The two look back at the pastor.*
Pastor: “Well if nobody else has anything to say, we’ll just get on with it. You two got the rings on? Good, so with the power invested in me. I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”
* Jesse and Victoria kiss while everyone in the John Hancock Hall cheer. Jesse grabs Victoria’s hand as they walk down the ramp to walk out the building as they are all going down the street to the Wyndham Tremont Hotel where they will have the wedding reception inside the Roxy-Plex. Hopefully nothing crazy will happen there.*

* The scene opens up with Jesse Nuñez standing in the middle of the ring with his wife Victoria Nuñez for a house show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The fans are cheering but are cut off by Jesse Nuñez talking on the microphone.*
Jesse Nuñez: “Two weeks ago, Max Carter hired Kid Cannabis as his personal bodyguard to protect him from President Hurricane Jeff and Streets Wilson. These two guys have been goin’ after Max tellin’ him to resign from his general manager position on Overdrive so all the power goes to El Jefe.”
* The fans boo.*
Jesse Nuñez: “So what did they do? They took out Kid Cannabis like the lil’ bitch that he is with no problem. After that happened Carter came to me like he did back when he signed me to APW and asked me to be his new bodyguard. Now unlike Cannabis I can actually protect myself from two clowns like Jeff and Wilson. He knew I wouldn’t let him down no matter how beat up or bruised I am.”
“I show up to work ready to fight every week and Jeff you picked the wrong person to fuck with. Like you I have lost friends in my wrestling career due to their greed or tragic deaths. So I have very few friends in APW and the EwC and those friends I do have, I will have their back for life. You may not realize it now but I knew exactly what I was doing when I challenged you and Streets to a tag match at Mayhem. I have a few tricks up my sleeve that you will never see comin’.”
* Jesse pauses as the fans cheer.*
Jesse Nuñez: “Now last week I made my debut on APW and it didn’t turn out so well. But that is alright, can’t win em’ all right? But whatever forget and move on. This week on Overdrive I go one-on-one with Mr. Strange. I know the guy from EwC and HcW but never talked to him. It’s pretty funny though cause I’m also wrestling him at EwC too. One man, one week in two matches; He is the current Division X and Hardcore Champion if I recall. But I’m the current EwC United States Champion.”
“Mr. Strange, the Division X championship you have, you gotta remember who made that championship. Every week for eight straight months I defended that championship and even competed for World Championships as the Division X Champion. I was unstoppable for so damn long I was told to drop the belt and move on. But I never did I kept on winning until they put a damn elimination chamber and five other men in my way and even then it was hard for em’ to take the belt from my waist.”
“When you represent yo’self as the Division X Champ, you better know who are really reppin’. You are reppin’ me and whoever else who wore that belt before you. I have nothing against you, I really do think you are a force to be reckoned be with, but you are no Prodigy. I bet you think just because I lost my first match in APW that you are just gonna walk over me like I’m some puddle in the street. If you think that then you better head back to the lab and reprocess yo’ thoughts. No longer will Jesse Nuñez be nobody’s stepping stone onto the ladder of success. I’m not having that anymore and it is time I make an example outta you Mr. Strange.”
* The fans cheer in the arena.*
Jesse Nuñez: “This match isn’t about titles, it isn’t even about respect. It’s about proving you are better than the other guy standing across from you in the ring. I have a lot to prove to the world Strange. Yeah my success in Hollywood and the media is unprecedented, but my wrestling career; the very damn thing that got me where I am today, has been said to hit its peak a long time ago. Throughout my career despite my accomplishments, despite all the bullshit I’ve gone through I have been told time and time again that I can’t do it.”
“But somehow, someway, I did it. Now even after I did what I said I was gonna do despite what everyone else said I still had to prove everyone wrong. And by some chance when I finally fucked up and didn’t do what I had set out to do, the same fuckin’ people were there to tell me, “I told you so.” Strange, unfortunately for you, there will be no I told you so. I am not a villain who you might believe to be corrupted by society by the way that they view me. I’m just the guy who is gonna be there with you in that ring with my arm raised in victory while you lay on the ground with yo’ mask shattered into pieces all over the arena floor.”
* “Basic Thugonomics Remix” begins to play on the PA system. Jesse tosses the microphone to the ring announcer on the outside of the ring sitting on a steel chair. Jesse and Victoria leave the ring and head up the ramp as the scene begins to fade.*
