* The scene opens up backstage with Cindy Shannon at a recent house show for Action Packed Wrestling. The fans in the arena sit and watch from their seats looking at the titantron in the arena.*
Cindy Shannon: “I’m here with “The Prodigy”, Jesse Nunez.”
* The camera zooms out to show Jesse Nunez standing next to Cindy as the fans in the arena cheer.*
Cindy Shannon: “Jesse, two weeks ago on Overdrive you challenged President Jeff and Streets Wilson to a tag team match with Max Carter as your partner. Why do that knowing Max Carter is not a wrestler?”
Jesse Nunez: “Cindy, Jeff might own APW, but he doesn’t run this show. Max Carter does. And Max does one hell of a job at it too. Now Jeff just wants all the power to himself. So he hired Streets to help him take out Max once and for good. Now the problem with that is, Max is a very good friend of mine. You don’t mess with The Prodigy’s friends and think you can get away with it. So I challenged em’ at Mayhem to settle this once and for all. They will never mess with Max again.”
Cindy Shannon: “Aren’t you just a bit worried about President Jeff’s track record?”
Jesse Nunez: “Not at all. See Hurricane Jeff was pretty big in EwC but he has never beaten me. We tagged a few times but the wins came from me, not Jeff. So he should be nothing to worry about.”
“And before you ask, the answer is no. Streets Wilson is not a threat to me or Max. He may think he is legit just because he has the owner by his side, but he just can’t seem to realize that he is just Jeff’s lil’ puppet. At Mayhem I will cut off those strings Jeff has him by and choke him out with em’.”
Cindy Shannon: “But what about Streets Wilson interfering in your match last week against Mr. Strange?”
* Jesse laughs.*
Jesse Nunez: “I have to admit, that was pretty cute. A few years ago that might have pissed me off and I would be hunting down for his blood. But now, it means nothing to me. That match meant nothing to me and for him to think he has the upper hand in this, he needs to rethink of a new strategy because this childish mind game he is playing has no effect on me. I am much tougher both mentally and physically for him to try that shit out on me.”
“Now this week I have Hurricane Jeff in a match just a few weeks before Mayhem. I know he can’t beat me and he knows that too. So don’t be expecting a win coming from Jeff. He has something else planned this week because there is no way he wants to risk injuring himself just before the pay per view.”
“Jeff, I’m ready for you. I have my eyes open in all angles and my ears listenin’ from the shadows, no sneak attacks, and no cheap shots. This match you have for Overdrive is the dumbest idea you ever came up with. This match, may also be yo’ last.”
* Jesse takes a good look at the camera and then leaves the scene, leaving Cindy Shannon staring in the direction Jesse left to.*
