Sunday, December 21st was a day that history was made. A day to remember. The Day that the Hardcore Kid won the APW Xtreme Title. While growing up, The Hardcore Kid has always dreamed of becoming a wrestler. Ever since seeing one of his idols, Mick Foley for the first time, using his body as a weapon, taking pain and smiling while it happened. That made the Hardcore Kid realize that he wanted to be a Hardcore Icon one day. After doing the whole amateur wrestling thing in school, then the back yard wrestling thing with his friends, to what he thought was to gain that “Hardcore Toughness.” The Kid then got proper wrestling training and what lucky enough to find a job inside Action Packed Wrestling.
A young Kid with Big dreams. Not realizing that there is more to Wrestling than just Hardcore match, and it took time for the Kid to realize that, and to realize that a balance is needed. Wrestling guys like Trevor Blackwell, Twister, Tony Blackwell. Men who have held the Xtreme Title and was successful with it. Studying them, listening to them. To learn whatever he can from those guys, guys he looked up to. Guys who paved the way. It took a year, but the hard work paid off when the Hardcore Kid win the Xtreme Title. A year in the making it was. A learning experience it was and now, the challenge of winning the title is over, keeping it is another test which will separate the boys from the men. The Kid’s first victim after winning that title is Fyre Angel. Its time to see if the Hardcore Kid has what it takes, or if he’s just one of those guys who got lucky. A win for Fyre Angel can put her in contender ship for the title, but a win for the Kid can bring him up that much higher up the ladder
The scene opens up with noises heard from a distance.
“Ouch…..Ouch……Damit…Ouch”
The camera mans walks down a short hall way and takes a turn to see The Hardcore Kid who is polishing up him Xtreme Title. Remember, the title is a Trash Can lid wrapped in Barbwire with a electrical cord going through the handle. Anyways, the Kid polishes the trash can lid and his hands are scratching on the pointy barbwire. The Kid then holds up the title and looks at it
“Your so beautiful”
The Kid puts the title over his shoulder as he notices the camera
“I hate to say I told you so, but, I told you so. I said that I would win at Christmas Chaos and I did. I said that I would end the year on a high note and I did. And I said I would be the APW Xtreme Champion, and I did.
This Monday on Overdrive, I face off against Fyre Angel. Just like I was right about what I said about the Fatal Four Way Match, I’m going to be right when I say that I’m beating Fyre Angel. I beat here in tag matches. I pinned her at Christmas Chaos and I’m going to pin her again on Overdrive.
Why is that? We’ll, if you look at the list of people who’s held this title, and I mean the important people. Trevor Blackwell, Twister, Tony Blackwell. Those are guys who brought class and dignity to this title. Those are guys who people look up to and respect. Those are guys who made this title what it is. And I will dedicate myself to be like them. To bring Class and Dignity back to the Xtreme Title. Something that you failed miserably to do Fyre when you had the title for a short time. But that’s ok, because a new savior is here now and the Xtreme Title will no longer have to be in the hands of someone who is not worthy.
Fyre, you’re a one hit wonder, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to take you lightly. It doesn’t mean that I’m going to look past you even thought my title is on the line. Every non title match, and every title match, I will fight to bring honor to this title. I will fight to bring it credibility. I’m won’t go easy on you Fyre in this match. I don’t care if you’re a girl or not. Because at the end of the day, when that bell rings, its go time bitch. And when its go time, The Hardcore Kid stops at nothing.
One Year Ago, I was just leaning the ropes. I was just getting into this business. And I’ve come a long, long way. And now, in 2009, The Hardcore Kid can only get better. Winning the Xtreme Title, was only one small piece of the puzzle. And when the time comes, I will have the Overdrive title and eventually world title. Michael Lively isn’t the only one who wants to win all the titles.
And another thing, Jason Royce, this thing between us, its far from Over pal. I took something that you had. And as long as I’m champion pal, you won’t be holding onto this title. I want you to make sure you watch my match with Fyre Angel. You can watch it too Carl, hold Jason’s hand in support. Because what I plan to do to Fyre Angel, is make an example out of her. And I want you guys to see that the Hardcore Kid, is the real deal.
