The arena is pumped as the fans in the stands begin to file into the building. Its the first Overdrive of the year and everyone is begging to hear about the aftermath of Christmas Chaos. Tonight all the fans will witness a battle of the champions. Furthermore we will see The Beast in his first match in APW since before Shockwave. There are several big matches taking place tonight, even a rematch between Slade Craven and Joe Martinez. As of right now though, no one has seen either competitor and the A.P.W. staff is getting antsy. They do not like it when superstars do not check in the morning of a show. Slade has been at his hotel since arriving but no one knows if he as even left yet. In the parking lot A.P.W's own Shane West is standing there, hoping to get preshow interviews with some of the superstars. His number one question is.
Shane West: So in how did the aftermath of Christmas Chaos leave you?
The camera is focused on Shane West right now. And as it slowly pans to the left the face of "The Main Man" is shown. He is wearing his leather jacket over a black T shirt and his shades, and yes it is the night time. But as stated before, the sun never sets on a Bad Ass. Slade's hair is green and blue with hints of blonde still in it and as he glares at Shane West from behind the glasses, anyone looking can see how Slade Craven is not amused, or even remotely pleased at tonight.
Slade- Shane, what is your I.Q.?
Shane: What?
Slade- Shane, what is your I.Q.?
Shane- I don't know why?
Slade- Because "The Main Man" would like to know how exactly a man with an I.Q. of 48 could get a job that that so many people depended on. Your bosses, your family, they all depend on you to have the most riveting interviews, that you will be the one over Cindy Shannon getting the superstars attention. That her good looks and charm are nothing to your charisma. Everyone depends on you Shane, and you just asked "The Main Man" to discuss his feelings.
West stammers for a second.
Slade- Don't deny it, you asked Slade Craven what state Christmas Chaos left him. Didn't you?
West nods.
Slade- You asked Slade "The Main Man" how being hit with a title felt?
Shane slowly nods again, looking a little worried.
Slade- You asked, the most Mesmerizing Man in sports entertainment to explain to you how it felt to be headlining the last event of the decade and then have to give a rematch to a man who already rued his day he wrestled Slade once before?
Shane is barely able to move his head up and down. Then Craven flashes a bright smile and gets out of Shane's face
Slade- Well okay then, now that you have cleared that miscommunication up sure. Slade will get all Dr. Phil on your ass. How does Slade feel? Well Slade says this, Level One proved something at Chaos. He did. No it wasn't that he was the better man. No instead it was how to cheat to win. Level One felt his title slipping from his grasp, he knew in a matter of moments his title would be mine and he could not live with it. the man would have full on "Stanned" everyone around him if he lost his championship. So he broke the rules. He took that belt and smashed me in the head with it. then for good measure when that didnt work he dropped a referee. Level One did everything he could to keep from losing that belt. Listen, "The Main Man" really thought only Calgarians were screwed over that way.
Shane stutters once again.
Shane- You m-
Slade- Pipe down ChaChi. “The Main Man” is speaking, damn.
He inhales and calms himself.
Slade- Level One, you think this is over don’t you? That smug look on your face as you stroke the thing you love most in this world, you sick pervert. “The Main Man” is coming for you Level One, he is not done yet. This fight is far from over. And tonight, Slade is going to walk out to that ring and do some talking. He is going to call you out Level One. And if you got the sack, you’ll show. But “The Main Man” knows you wont. But he will still be out there tonight Level One, he will still be waiting.
Shane- What about your match with Joe Martinez?
Slade- What about who? That guy? He still works here? Well okay, new plan. First Slade is going to beat Martinez’s ass, then he will call out Level One. Hey, ‘champ’ “The Main Man” may be tired after his match, perfect chance to get in another cheap shot. Come get it. There is no escape from this epic ass kicking you’ve earned son. Slade is coming, and every night he will be coming for you. Run, hide, cry it doesn’t matter. Sooner or later Level One, Slade will get his hands on you, and while he may not get that belt, he will make sure you never forget. “The Main Man” just whipped your ass.
Craven body checks Shane West as he walks away. That playful, fake grin from before is gone, replaced by anger. Slade is not mad he lost to Level One, he is mad because no one showed the true lesson, cheaters never prosper. Slade was going to teach Level One that, he was also planning on teaching him how to shove his own head up his own ass. Craven would like that. He pushes the doors to the arena open and steps into the halls out of the cold. Slade doesn’t feel like getting the crowd pumped, he just wants Level One, and no matter how hard the champ tried to deny him, or run, Craven would catch him. And Craven would pry that belt from his cold, ass-kicked-fingers. He makes his way down the hallway. He is looking for his dressing room, he wants to get this done so he can. He wants to get his hands on Level One. And Slade would. Soon.
