Well our trip to Vegas required us to drop off a package which at our post office took way longer than usual. Taking for 30 minutes. Which in our town is a long time.
Then we stopped off to get batteries and McDonalds. In our line at McDonalds we were 4 people back but the line hardly moved as a couple's credit card did not work. It evidently needed 2 Employees and 2 Managers. This was taking 15-20 minutes watching these morons poor Marx Brothers routine.
So we left the line that did not move grabbed coffee then headed straight to Las Vegas. Sadly we did not know that this would be one of the highlites of our trip.
We meet in laws in their expensive suit hotel the Red Rocks. Here we went to Olive Garden, which we had not been to for 3 years. No Olive Garden in Kingman. So Joan and I wanted some of our favorite items. Olive Garden no longer offers them. Sad but Ok.
So then we decide to go the Strip walk it for over an hour. Well Joan and Nancy, mother in law, both with their navigating with me saying hey we are going the wrong way etc. Got lost so we missed our chance to be at the Strip but luckily we did find our hotel and checked in. Finding the hotel, the Plaza, when lost was an omen we soon found out.
So we all met up with my father in law, Mike, heading to dinner. We went to a very expensive buffet at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Well then we walked the strip at night when the showgirls and half naked people walked the strip with my conservative older In laws.
After that we headed to Henderson St for the famous light show which was pretty cool. Then the highlite of the evening ended.
At 12:30 am in our room for the first time. We decided to go to bed being exhusted. Well the room was getting hot and our air conditioner made a fucking kicking noise ever 5 minutes. Pissed off at around 1:15 am I called maintence who came over had to replace the air conditioner.
When that was all done at 2:00 am we finally settled in for the night again.
At 3:00 am the fire alarm goes off. Joan and I grab our clothes our wallets and such to leave. We get a message to stay in our rooms. As the fire alarm continues for 45 minutes. Having enough as the fire alarm was going off. We walked down the stairs because the elevators were not working to complain.
As we did the fire alarm shut off. When we got down there and bitched no Night Manager told to come in the morning. Asking if the elevators were working we were told ask security. I did and he was an asshole. Excuse me for asking for the front desk who did not know.
Having to go up the stairs because the elevators were not working. We went to bed after 4:00 am. At around 8:15 am Joan woke up thus waking me up. I had and Joan about 3 hours sleep if that.
As we were getting ready pissed off with our horrible morning from hell. She went in the shower. I was in the bed. I heard a light knock this is almost 9:00am.
I am thinking this is the manager who was coming to appologize and comp us for our hell stay.
So I slip out of bed to get my shorts, there full frontal Brian exposed to HOUSEKEEPING!!!
Check out is 11:00am what the fuck?!
So she leaves, wife finishes shower and I shower I want out of this fucking hell hole. First I wanted to get our money back!!!
So I go to the manager tell him what happened. He had no expression on his face then said he could offer me and my wife a free buffet! Their buffet sucked and was $7.77. I told him hell no! He said they will refund us our room. We had to call Hotels.com.
So we leave, heading out see my mother in law, after going to IHOP drinking tons of coffee both of us and eating. Then we visited my mother in law went saw a movie Star Wars: Clone Wars. After both Joan and I guzzling Dew.
Then we leave to head out of town. Being as tired as we were we took the wrong exit ended up in California! We had to take some back roads to get back to where we needed to go and then home. We were on the road for 4 hours for a 2 hour trip!
We get home exhusted ready to crash. And we could not sleep! Joan finally did and I had to drink some beer to finally put my exhusted self asleep.
This morning we called and got our full refund! We have to wait 30 days but we got it back!
When going to Las Vegas avoid the Plaza, Hotel and Casino.
