Looking at our roster right now, there's like 18-20 active RPers.
Now with a roster like that, its tough to book everyone for a weekly show. For this week theres 7 matches.
Personally, I like to book no more than 5 matches for an overdrive show mainly because it keeps everything a better flow for storylines and angles I think. Having more than that feels like that matches are just there just to give someone a match
So what I'm thinking is start up a second show that would be like a "Sunday Night Heat' type of thing where we don't use it to showcase Angles or Feud, it would mainly just be for matches that doesn't necessarly fit on the Overdrive Card which would showcase the main feuds and Angels going into a PPV. The new show would be where new people have their debut match
Now, This 2nd show would only be used when needed, I'm not thinking everyweek, at least for now, but once or twice a month and 2-3 matches would be booked on it.
The deadline for the show and the results would all be posted on the same day just to make easier and less complicated.
Results wouldn't be on Overdrive Standards of results, it would mainly be a paragraph or 2 or a summary of the match, just something quick and simple to the results for this aren't delayed.
but here's the thing, if we do decide to go through with a second show, I'd need someone to be like a "GM" for this show, and all they would need to do is decide on a winner, get results written and post it. and I'll take care of Overdrive.
So let me know what you all think about this. Good idea, bad idea, be honest. Please don't reply with a "I'd be GM" type of thing, we go through with this, then I'll make another post asking if anyone wants to be a GM.

I'd be a GM Kidding kidding I had to. I think its a good idea. I mean if we go short results and what not, it'd be a cake to throw together or at least a piece there of.

Okay This Is My OpinionI say we make it Bi weekly maybe if we are growing change it to weekly if needed. Have that second show maybe be more Gimmick matches for the time being. Split up the card regardless. We have two Main Events. We alternate who is on what show. No wrestler consistantly on either show until we are larger with a more stable roster. I think it should be made a Wednesday Show or Friday Show. - Wednesday Wreckage
- Friday Assault
Keep the same deadline. Honestly the person who is GM of that show should be the co-GM of the fed. Help with Storylines etc. Maybe someone who plays well off of Jeff's face. For the record, I have no interest in GMing again. As for the few paragraph thing. No one likes reading that. It has to be full matches. A smaller show though. Who would want to RP if your matches suck when you read them? Just a thought.

One of the reasons the fed collapsed Well if you rp and lose are you going to say, "yeah I lost but at least my match was well written." I love when my matches are written very well, and others matches, but to me thats just an added bonus. At the end of the day I just want to know who won. Whose RP was better. But I may be alone on this, you have more insight on this than I do, since you ran a fed already.

I do know my preference is to read the whole show. I love the drama and stories. That includes the matches.

I would have to say I am opposed to a second show. Whats wrong with being left off the card one week? I remember back in my old fed i was in, the RP's were so competitive and so draining to write, I would be praying I would be lucky enough to have a week off to gather my thoughts and then come back and do a real serious RP.

Othere than what we've discussed I'm in accord with everything you said. I actually think all of your ideas are perfect and I stand behind you with them. I like the idea of having it bi weekly and I personally would like a Wednesday or Friday show. I like the idea of a having more gimmicks on the show, and I personally think that this "bi weekly show" should have its own specific gimmick match that is only seen on this show. Almost like how TNA has the Ultimate X match, but maybe this kind of match could happen every week. I think there is something to it, but I'm not exactly sure what.

I look forward to my matches and writing.

The reason we wouldnt want to go to a wednesday or friday is cause we want to keep one deadline for everyone... Remember Jeff had said this second show would be more for rookies, and non storyline matches... Having them being shorter just makes life easier on the GM. One of our problems here is we dont have a lot of writers, so to have 8 matches give or take, its draining on those who do write - especially if they have to come up with RPs too. I think thats where Jeff was going with it just to try to shed some insight. As for the week off here and there - well even with this people still on the odd time get a week off... but for a fed trying to have active members - giving weeks off is not exactly what we want to be doing unless necessary or unless after a PPV so some of us can recover lol. Those are my two cents.

First off I would like to say Twister I love your attitude and insight. I love the idea of a second show or the house show type of deal, or dark match situation. Secondly Twister...I think I like your chain gang medalion...it's so shinny on your sig...third a coment made by Streets...he said he didn't understand what Iggy wrote...I just wanted to say that is not the first time I didn't understand what Iggy was trying to say maybe he has had too much worm...and as for more ball busting I don't think anyone asked Iggy if he wanted to be GM...and he already declined it...HA...theres some ego...just kidding man...

Hey I tossed out my ideas. I just wanted to make sure people know where I stand since we do need another GM on this other show as well. This was something Jeff mentioned. I wanted it to be clear I was not interested. No ego. Twister said it in his post before mine. And Jeff is talking same deadline as Overburn just the 2nd show is published later in the week. No one should have a week off. It makes you cold, you lose your rhythm and heat with the character. One RP a week is hard enough keeping your mojo going. I am use to writing 3-4 RPs a week.

I think if we do this, just make it exactly like Heat was; just matches.
Just moving debut matches over there would take some of the load off Overdrive, and it's not like newbs really have any sort of story going on out outside of their match. And just tell people you're first match will be on this show, then you can get onto Overdrive.
Then, you usually have one other match on Overdrive that doesn't really have anything to do with storylines, and you can put that over on the Heat show. If the guys are in a feud, you can have their rivals show up or something, but again, don't really need a lot of storytelling.
Just keep promos off the show, and have quality match writing. Matches don't have to be long to be good. The first few minutes can just be recapped, then have the finishes and pinfall attempts written out.
I dunno, I'm not against the idea of the show, just as long as we don't go to overboard with it.
Hey, maybe we can call the show "Overboard"...
Just a thought.
Or maybe "SpillOver".

How bout Greenville...it can be a show dedicated to John Green for him to come and go as he pleases. It may work he could be the GM...the match writer, the judge, and the only talent on the show...it just may work...untill he then decides to leave again..but then there is always the comeback and then the show is back up and running...yeah the Greenville...I love it.
Just Kidding...I like Overload...thats a great name...

Greenville... there's a town I'd NEVER want to visit... like Hell, Michigan or Blueballs Pennsylvania... the entire population could be whiny 16 yr olds that fuck their sisters... sorry... I don't know if John Green actually fucks his sister... its just the inbreeding that makes sense to me...

I like the idea. I like the idea of keeping the deadline the same, even though the extra show would be a different day, simply because i know i would be the first (but probably not the only) person to forget which day my RP's were due or something. I suck.

I think the idea is a solid one but I doubt the show will last. Secondary shows rarely do in E-Feds... including ones run by Jeff...
