Just gotta say, Thanks Tmarv for getting the show posted on time while Rebel was away. Most places would just delay results, but not here. Great to see everyone coming together to get it done

You didn't leave any feedback either... I'm reading it piece by piece at work. I'll have a full review later on. I don't want to skim over it and leave something out!!

What about the parts you didn't write?

What about the parts you didn't write? touche The opening segment was really good and established Rebel as a threat in Survive and Conquer. I get the feeling that people were forgetting about him even being in this match. It set up the main event very well. Pretty good opening match as well, though a shame there was the no shows to go with it. Slade's little segment before hand was interesting, really getting the new character fleshed out. AC smith's is a good example of a segment built mostly to promote a budding feud such as his with Lively. I love the Dionysus/Evan Envi feud. This segment just cements the good parts of it. It had that truly epic good vs. evil feel to it. Very interesting stuff. Dionysus is a VERY underated character on Overdrive and I think his feud with Evan will really pick things up. The Hardcore match has to be up there as nominee of matchof the night. It was EVERYTHING it was supposed to be and a very well written match. Congrats to Mania on the big win over Smith. Personally I know ho hard it is to get a notch over him. He's no slouch. My first thought was YAY we're gonna hear an epic Biggs promo. My second thought was YAY! We're gonna see an epic Biggs vs. LEvel One feud! I can't wait to see this if it's really going to happen. Big FUTURE setting promo for CJ Gates. He plans to rise back to the top.... and he's gotta go through me to get there. THis should be fun. I love the idea behind Kurt vs. Speede, giving Roy a chance to prove himself against one of the best in APW! I helped to judge this match and it was an extremely close call! Fantastic showing by Speede and he is definitely on the up swing. Solid match.... I hope we get round two soon! TRiple threat was a great match and a HUGE showing by Lively getting the victory over L1 and CJ Gates. It seems that the Era of your Jesus has returned! More GREAT stuff from Envikado! Deli is the most hilarious thing in the palet right now. Also wanna see where Envi is taking this whole thing. I thought it was pretty solid for the first show back. A good balance of Segments and matches I think. Nicely done everyone.

Was waiting to do this today since I had to work early. Figured nows as good a time.
First thing that came to mind - the triple threat/three way dance. Not sure if it changed, but the opening intros state it's a three way dance with eliminations and such, the commentators back that up, but I am only seeing one outcome? Unless I missed L1 getting eliminated...
Sucks I wasn't able to put out a better showing, but still, congrats to Lively on pulling out the win. Makes his return that much more impactful.
Level One vs. Biggs? Oh man, that would be awesome. There was a bit of it in 2011 at Test for the Best, but I don't think it got enough play. Definitely would be great to see.
There were some good segments here that definitely built up some awesome feuds. Envi/Dionysus will continue to be awesome, as well as Smith/Lively. Lots of good here, and I can't wait to see it all unfold.
As for the other matches, I enjoyed them. Loved the Noble/Speede match, as well as the main event (more on that later). Definitely some top notch match writing this week and, aside from the no-shows, there were great matches throughout the cards. Congrats to all the winners!
Now for the ME...I love how things were changed on a fly, but not changed to make it seem cluttered. With Rebel being in S&C, the opening segment/main event begins to showcase S&C that much more, and then the attacks afterward hammer that home. We've done similar things the past two years, and I think it works well to really build up the show and make S&C that much better. Loved seeing the APW contingent standing up for APW even if most of them hate each other. Builds yet another story to go with all the other ones.
Awesome job to everyone involved! Lets keep things rocking!

I wrote in the ending and was so busy I forgot it was eliminations and only put in one ending. Sorry folks, my bad.

Overall, a great show to start off APW for the year. It was a full-on show, and should set the tone for the next few months. I think, one thing that people might want to do for the next week, is build more towards Survive and Conquer. Yes, there's a balance that should be there between 'starting' the year and hyping the next ppv - and not everyone is taking part in S&C - but it's such a HUGE event that everyone in it should be building towards that (the same way everyone will be building towards Mania after S&C). Just my opinion there. I know that the next few weeks will be all about S&C though, given Rebel's call for hype matches, do that will fix itself.
This might not make sense with what I've just said, but there didn't seem to be much by way of "fallout from CC", as the card suggested (other than Envi/Dionysus). That said, I wasn't expecting anyone to really do that - end of a year means a new slate and drawing a line underneath the 'old stuff'.
Rebel! I thought you were Asylum talent, you turncoat! Now you're boosting the OD ratings haha? It was a nice surprise to see Rebel come out and step in. Sort of a throwback to a year ago when Rebel looked like he was set to take OverDrive's min event spot for life. Nice tone with the segment, the whole "I need someone worthy of the spot in the main event ... so who else but me?"
Nice little segment from Slade at the start. I was a bit lost because I wasn't sure why Slade was there in the first place. I must have missed this storyline somewhere. I gather there's something in the works with Shadow (from the segment). It was just ... left field. Maybe some more backstory to this? Or I completely missed this over the past few weeks .... (Which I will admit, I've been a bit lapse of late).
The tag match - well written. Who ever wrote it, you did a good thing in showing that both the teams are genuine teams ... with some singles attached haha. I felt the match was a bit too crowded, trying to keep track of the storylines that are supposed to be evolving in there. I wasn't sure why Watson was in it, especially considering Shadow/Slade were angling together. Hopefully something comes out of it for the former champion. I'd hate for him to get lost in the shuffle again. Good ending, good way to start of the feuds that are going there.
Nice short and sweet segment from AC. Maybe a bit too quick? I think this could be a bit more worked on. I got what the points were, but it was a bit rushed. Maybe spend some more time on some of the dedicated aspects - space it out, word it more. Now you're a champion, people are going to be even more interested in what you have to say.
Dionysus and Envi segment. I'm usually critical of the longer segments, but this one takes the segment of the night. Seriously, I don't know what it is about this feud but...I love it! From when it started to now. It got (and kept) me excited, and I don't know why. Maybe because in my mind this is THE final barrier for Envi. Dionysus is a stalwart here, a veteran, and proven megastar. Envi is, potentially, going to be the megastar of 2013 to watch. This is, like, the big test: the chance to step up before that potential ascent. I'm looking at this feud like this, and it's got me excited for that reason. I hope this continues to S&C - CC was awesome, and I think it needs the capstone at S&C.
The segment itself - perfectly written. Captures a great balanc of motions here - Envi's incredulous attitude, Dionysus' resignation to his 'downfall'. It's just ... Wonderful. Anyone who wants to start a feud in a segment ... Base it off this. Seriously, whoever wrote this, step up and take a bow.
Mania and AC's match was spectacular. Well written, hard hitting (as two champions facing off should be) and full of action. Close match and close finish. No one really loses in this match - AC, the new champion, took the loss but he doesn't look bad at all in it. Losing to Mania (who is on the hottest streak of his life!) is not really a lose; pushing him close is a win. Lots for both champions to use in the next few weeks, and this should give AC some great angles/material to take to S&C and then to Mania.
Teasing Biggs/L1 as a potential feud again ... PLEASE! Please do it again. It was truncated last time when L1 went on a break. We need closure! Two of my favourite megastars in APW history, two very different but very great heels (when they both were), and two very great writers. Please reignite the feud again.
Level-One vs. Biggs at Mania. Book. It. Now.
Great, classic CJ segment from CJ. Consistent, as always. We can always expect a solid turnout from the now number one contender. You know who has maintained the longest storyline in history: CJ. Since 2010/2011 CJ has continually played the "People keep counting me out ... and I keep proving them wrong" angle. And anyone who can keep that fresh and going deserves the recognition he gets. Good, solid segment, and a hard angle going in. And then the potential for the big clash against Marvin? I'm excited as hell for that too!
Terry Marvin vs. CJ Gates at Mania. Book it too!
Roy Speede on OD? More please! Roy Speede against Kurt Noble? MORE PLEASE! It's never easy taking it to Noble with months and months of preparation and storylining, but Roy was able to keep it close and competitive. And, honestly, the material that Roy can now use on Meltdown with this match alone should give him a chance to step above them all. Use this opportunity, Roy. Great match, well written, and also oozes the new heel Noble. Good detail there from the writer.
Marvin segment. Exactly what everyone is expecting from the guy who cleaned up at the awards show and ended 2012 as THE APW talent. What's interesting is the turn that Marvin seems to be making. It's not hated heel, more determined heel now. The transition is very much complete. Good, solid segment. Great length, great weight. Well done.
The Rebel/Dionysus segment? So good! Adds a real level of intrigue to the feud with Envi too. I think it adds a level of depth to Dionysus here that's been missing for a while. To me, he's been lost in the shuffle for a while now. But now? Now I'm interested in Dionysus again.
Three way dance? Yeah, that's been covered. Won't dwell on the match itself. Was surprised at the winner there. Level-One is hard to beat, CJ JUST beat him ... and then Lively beat them both. Big win there, though this is Lively we're talking about. Short match though.
Deli/Envi segment. A bit long, but still entertaining. On first reading, I didn't quite get what the point of it was. Then I realised were building towards the break up of the team? The tag tournament is over, Envi is looking for a singles run ... team needs to end. Interesting way to run the angle and you've got me intrigued now. Deli is sort of oblivious to it, Envi seems to be having a moral revolution. It's interesting. Well done.
Rebel/Marvin - didn't expect a finish with the change-up. But I definitely didn't expect THAT finish. Some of the biggest names from the efedding world (and people to watch come S&C) come a ruin the match? I can live with that, definitely. A great way to close out the show, but a plausible way to drive into next week with the hype/showcase shows. Good thinking on the fly GM.
Overall, a great show. Really great show. Some very strong segments, all the matches were top notch, and building towards some Mania feuds already (which means they will be deep and meaningful). It's a model show, the basis for starting a year off. Strong in all regards. Congratulations to all the people who contributed.

Work got nuts this week, and segments that rushed will be the exception, not the norm.

I was at a loss for which other fed members to include. So basically I took people I and others have had interactions with here and elsewhere along with handlers that we've interacted with and hoped it stuck. I'm glad it was received well and I hope some big things come from it next week. Also.... is it wrong that Sally's feedback turns me on just a little bit. That is HOW I WISH I could give feedback. She says what I'm thinking and I can't manage to put the words to screen. Bravo Sam.....Bravo

Overdrive Jan. 3 Opening segment grabs your attention immediately because.... well, how often is it on Overdrive that the GM starts the show? Also I guess I was curious as to what was going to happen with Hart being suspended, so I was pleased to see that this (might) be getting addressed quickly. Turns out it did, and somehow Rebel's dialogue really got me to hate the character, ha. I loved everything about this segment, and it seems like something pulled right off of Monday Night Raw, but better. I'm not really a fan of heel vs heel matches, so it's hard for me to get invested in this, but the segment was good enough to make me excited to see Rebel in action. We jump right into the 6 man tag and I think it was a great opener. The writer (Slade??) should be proud of this. Great start to 2013. I think a better job could've been done at explaining why Slade and Shadow suddenly have such a huge problem because some people didn't read the Super Show and a lot of people (myself included, but mainly the new people) didn't even know they were a tag team until recently. I kind of got the gist of it though and everything came out nicely in my opinion. I love Envikado and SoS more and more every week. Sucks that Watson and Bane ran into issues and coudn't RP. The Smith segment was short and sweet. It did everything it should've and I'm happy that A.C. Smith finally has gold around his waist in APW. He's a very entertaining and underrated character that needs to be given time to shine. Michael Lively is his polar opposite so this will be beautiful. After the commercial was the Dionysus and Envi segment which might get my vote for segment of the night. I always liked John Dionysus from what I've read of his RPs (maybe I'm biased because Julius is awesome..) but I guess I never got too invested in his character? This segment put him over huge though. Envi was also given a microphone, which didn't hurt. Idk how much I remember from their feud before CC, but they just made me care. Kudos. Hardcore match. I liked it, but it almost seemed to vicious for two people that were going one on one for the first time. (i think the 1st time anyway) Very good match but I guess I had some trouble understanding the psychology of it? If you respect your opponent and your Overdrive Champion, why would you risk serious injury by slamming a jar over his head or dropping him on glass? I guess this could be explained by Smith's newfound Xtreme Title gold. He has a point to prove... and probably proved it here. Congrats to Mania though. He's on a roll. I thought the intro/tease for the Biggs interview was good before the commercial break, if not a little random. However when he and L1 started brawling, I understood why it was done and it made the following segment that much sweeter. Ha, and the dialogue was fantastic. Biggs is the only person that can say "butthead" and still sound offensive. Great CJ Gates segment. What a company guy!! lol maybe nostalgia because he was on top when I started lurking around here, but I love whenever Gates is given promo-time. He sold the match for later in the night, the Undisputed Title match at Rasslemania, and the Survive and Conquer match in the same segment. Win! Roy Speede vs Kurt Noble is a match I want to see again. As Sally said earlier, Noble seemed to be oozing heel in this match and I was a fan. There were times when I thought that Roy Speede was going to pick up the win, but he looked strong in this match.... it's matches like this that show you don't need to win to go over. I liked Terry Marvin's segment, but I think I would have appreciated it more if I knew a lot more of the big names on this side of the efedding spectrum lol. It was a good segment, but I still can't get too invested in heel vs heel. Definitely accomplished what it was meant to though, so it was very important that this segment was on the show. After was Dionysus and Rebel. Let me say.. LOVE the dynamic between these two. I want to see this every week. I guess this also explains why Evan isn't listed in the signups on the S+C board. I hope this leads to a rematch at the PPV because evidently it's gotten personal. Triple threat match was short but I think in a way, that protected everybody involved. It was still an entertaining read (kind of a relief after all the 5 star matches, ha) HUGE WIN by Michael Lively!! I couldnt be happier and more proud to say that I once beat that man. Envikado continues to rule. I don't think this segment teased a breakup. I'm still of the belief that in this day and age, Envi and Delikado's characters are better suited as faces but they both pretty much proved me wrong in this segment. At least Delikado did. As heel as ever and the most entertaining individual on the show, IMHO. Evan leaving to go search for Dionysus was yet another small bit that makes me yearn for Envi vs Dionysus II. The main event was well written. I don't know what I was expecting to happen for the end. The run-ins should have been anticipated, but the buildup and the write-up temporarily made me forget about it, and got me interested in Terry Marvin and Johnny Rebel and who was going to walk away with bragging rights lol. Very clever and chaotic ending to the show. I loved it. Great work to everybody involved. This is how every fed should start their year.

To Aubrey and Sally: Gotta read the megashow or Shadow's roleplay to know what happened. (Mine this week was all about the opponents) Okay since I should leave some feedback cause I did read the whole show. (Note I only comment on matches I dont do well commenting on segments) Opening Match: I hope it didn't come out to cluttered, I am glad to hear it was well recieved, thank you all for the feedback. Mark Mania and AC Smith, This was a brutal match and should be match of the night IMO. Well done to the writer for sending them everywhere in the arena. I am pleased to see Mark Mania throwing down finally. I feel neither man walked away a loser. Glad to see Roy Speede stepping up his game. If the match was really that close, he will make an excellent addition to Overdrive. The match reminded me of HHH versus Jeff Hardy back in the day before Hardy got a big push. (Power Trip days) Next up the big dog triple threat. Welcome back Lively. Bout time you showed back up The match was good and close, surprised me how quick the match ended though, but not ever match can take fifteen minutes to read haha! Last match. Seemed really cool but then everything kind of blew up. I would expect a big chaotic turn to happen at the last show right before the pay per view, not the first week out. I understand hyping the Pay Per View but for me it just seemed too soon to run it. Great show though. Thanks for having Slade back on it!

I suppose it’s time I did some feedback again.
Enjoyed the opening segment. I’m a big fan of Johnny Rebel as GM and throwing himself into main events like this is exactly what I would expect.
I’m totally lost on the Shadow-Slade Craven stuff, so this one went a bit over my head (sorry). A pretty generic heel promo from Slade, but I guess it keeps that feud ticking over.
A good win for EnviKado w/ Shadow. It can’t be long before EnviKado is taking on TDB for the tag straps.
A short but excellent promo from A.C., hyping his match on the show, as well as signposting some stuff with Michael Lively. This is a good example of what you can do if you want to get something on the show, without putting out a long, generic interview.
It’s nice to see a positive reception for what Evan and I are doing. Thanks. I seem to luck out with the people I work with here.
Likewise, it’s never a bad thing when people like the matches you write, and it looks like people got the fun factor I was hoping for here.
First pre-S & C brawl and its Biggs & L-1. I think it’s about time these two get it on again and I’m hoping this is just the start of something a bit special at Rasslemania.
Note: This is a great example of how commentary can be used to inform the reader, especially one’s like me who have been slack of late, because I’m told this isn’t the first time L-1 has attacked Biggs.
Slight editing error with a note from a PM ‘figured I should send this to you too’, but that’s merely a pedantic note on my part.
A fantastic promo from C.J., with exactly the correct tone and pitch. It’s a mark of the quality of Overdrive’s upper card when a guy like C.J. may have become a forgotten man to some. I always like that C.J. writes with perspective, and it’s why he still remains the top face on the roster.
Nice bit of intro commentary on Speede v Noble match to hype the Meltdown guy. Good showing for Speede and a nice touch at the end to get a pop from the crowd. Well written.
I suppose it wouldn’t be an Overdrive show without some megalomaniacal posturing from T-Marv. Good reference to the awards and a solid piece that puts that bullseye on T-Marv’s back for the S & C match.
Good win for Lively against a strong field. With Kurt Noble, T-Marv, Level-One and Johnny Rebel, is Overdrive big enough for all these egos? One senses the eventual fallout will be as radioactive as Chernobyl.
Something about Evan Envi telling Cindy Shannon ‘I hit girls’ made me laugh out loud. Not advocating that, or even saying I find such things funny, but something about the timing and the dryness with which Evan said it made me chuckle. The rest of a segment was a reminder to whole world why Delikado is ‘THE BAWSE’.
Good stuff in the main event and the expected post-match pre-S & C brawl. Looking forward to more of the same this week.
I agree with Sally, not so much a show that consolidates Christmas Chaos, but it is new year and S & C has that feel of starting something anew to it, so it is what it is.
