Popping the cherry on this one.
I think I sent in a segment. That or Delikado wrote my character AWESOMELY!
Okay so reviewing the matches first,
Nick Watson and MacBane: I really like the Sons of the South. (What can I say, Texas baby) It sucks that MacBane has been sick two week in a row. Nothing against Watson He's rocking out too! Just ever since first working with Gooch I got a soft spot for their characters. Congratulations to Watson for the win.
Mania versus Gooch: Good Job to Gooch for running out the timer. Like I said before I like their charcaters only down side I see to this feud is the fact as it being face on face and that can turn stale real quick. (Im a big advocate for face versus heel call me old fashioned) But I could defiantely see Mania playing the Face/Heel on this one. That would keep the storyline going strong. His character has that kind of impact.
Speede versus Delikado: Another hard fought match. Roy Speede had his work cut out for him because working Delikado is no easy feat. Speede had a shot and he went for it, and it was close. Like they said before, wont be long before he get promoted. But on that Note I do worry about the fast drafts from Meltdown. Maybe because I really enjoyed my stint there I think other people should take the time and really marinate on Meltdown. It's got a great RP schedule and Limit, couple that with the chances to work new and interesting people you have the opportunity to make yourself something great! Think about it.
Nobel versus Spectre: Sucks that Spectre couldn't really get a RP out this week, but thats what happens when you multifed and run one. I find myself having a hard time with weekly roleplays here alone, maybe its cause i dont have the time like I used to. But you dont ever want to over extend yourself. With that in mind Im also saddened this did turn out the big showcase Rebel was trying to go for. Maybe next week we will have more interfed matches. Congrats to Kurt!
Level One versus AC Smith: A powerhouse of a match. I honestly expected to see Lively in this match at the finale but guess not. Level One is one of the toughest SOBs on the roster so Smith to get the match like you did is a good mark on your behalf. Well done to you too sir but an overall congratulations to Level One.
Envi and Biggs: Good job Envi, it was a good match. Don't know if there will be more to come from this one due to the finale. Did Biggs turn heel again? Iono maybe I missed something. If so I was going to say I missed Heel Biggs. I liked working him. Then again if he IS heel, then its hard to do a heel on heel match.
Main Event: Man this seemed short and honestl kind of a bummer for a Main Event after a bad ass Overdrive. Props to Terry Marvin for going toe to toe with Lively. I loved working him (Maybe I got it easy when we faced off) But Overdrive rocked this week. Good job to all.
Favorite Segment of the week Delikado and Shane West. I miss the days of dicking with Shane. So its funny to see someone else doing it in my stead.
Honorable Mention: Level One with Vanna White. I have the Playboy with her on it. So he better not mess with her!

I loved working him (Maybe I got it easy when we faced off) But Overdrive rocked this week. Good job to all. I'll take full responsibility if anyone is unhappy with the main event. I cranked the match out after an extremely long, unforeseen day at work.

I'm posting this as I go through the show. This is part 1, it's just comments on segments so far, I will fill in match reviews over the weekend.
----
Like Asylum Overdrive opens with a match, bit of a surprise when one considers how segment heavy Overdrive usually is. I agree with TJ that it is fine to open shows with matches every once in a while, but in such circumstances I think it needs to be something that gets the show off to a bang. I know the card gets announced in match order, but I see no reason why in cases such as this show when there is no opening seg, one of the upper card matches is brought forward to open. Envi vs. Biggs would have been a great opening to the show. Just a thought.
Anyway, Mac Bane vs. Watson opens.
While my motivation to write weekly Dionysus RPs has gone, writing this storyline with Evan is something I am really enjoying, and that really is down to the Envi character and the energy his handler brings to our work. It’s always a priviledge, Sir!
A classic heel promo from Level-One - always a fan of the cheap heat. Although in a RL setting it would be interesting to see how a traditionally working class town would react to jibes about the royal family – I know in my neck of the words it would have flipped the crowd on to Level-One’s side. Maybe Callahan can better answer that question since I’m not a scouser.
The actually content was fairly interesting. Usually a handler feuding with himself isn’t great, but since this is Level-One I’m expecting something to happen that will merit our attention.
Another excellent promo from Biggs, consolidates his recent turn, but with some subtle hints that the old Biggs hasn’t completely gone away. I like the reference to still holding a grudge against T-Marv, because it hints that Biggs is still the bitter guy we loved to hate. That’s good, complete u-turns of personality provoke one’s disbelief, so nice to see this transition managed with a bit of complexity and some lurking tensions between Biggs’ new and old characteristics.
Good announcement about the Rasslemania match, since we’re on that road I’m glad we’re getting a picture of what is to come.
My only point of criticism would be the placement of this segment right after Level-One’s in-ring segment. I don’t think two in-ring segments should follow each other, but Level-One leaving, then re-appearing just felt a bit odd.
I do like these sentences that explain a transition from one spot to other, makes it all seem seamless and as though these segments are being written as part of one show. Well done to whoever put that together.
Good segment between Lively and Smith. I like this idea of Lively reflecting on people’s criticism of him, and responding by making himself out to be an even bigger asshole. This is a good feud for A.C. Smith too, the kind that could really elevate him on Overdrive. Looking forward to see how this one pans out.
Buckson Good vs. Mania. Nice to have a match after three segments.
There was some talk in the chat on Thursday about what Shadow could do to enhance his character. No need to go into the details here, I only mention it because this was a segment that made me notice both Shadow and Slade Craven. Admittedly, Slade did most of the talking, but Shadow’s part generated sympathy, and then the rant by Slade really gave me, as a viewer/reader, a real sense of where these characters are and how they think. I think the gist of this feud is pretty basic stuff, but you guys have hit upon something that will give you both something to work with, to build a solid wrestling story with a definite pay-off (e.g. a PPV blow-out match), and enable you to stop people like me ignoring you. Good work, I enjoyed it.
Straight into a match. Good I feel like the show is finding the right pace now. Delikado vs. Roy Speede.
To be continued...

Here is part 2...
Good segment between The Syndicate and Envi, says alot more than the words it contains. I like the indirect link to what I’m doing with Envi.
Noble v Specter. Before my review, I’ll just say it’s great to see these inter-promotional S & C hype matches, we could do with one or two more. Kudos to Specter for stepping up.
I like the idea of Watson talking up his win earlier, and the show’s could benefit from a few more ‘instant feedback’ segments, but the speech just seemed to lack a bit of punch to me. Since this segment was ultimately about S & C, I would have like to have a more definite and snappy link between the two.
Dionysus and Envi again. Best buds all of sudden?
A.C. Smith v Level-One. All I will say is I enjoyed writing this one, as I told A.C. it was a match that had all the necessary elements for an exciting match. I hope I did it justice.
Delikado, that guy! Hahahaha!
Envi vs. Biggs. Future Undisputed Championship match, anyone?
Terry Marv vs. Lively. Sure to be epic.
And Noble completes his Harvey Dent-like descent into total madness. Another superbly written segment by Kurt, and the threat at the end leaves me buzzing for next week.
Overall, I enjoyed the show, some pacing issues early in the show with a lot of segments, maybe one in-ring segment too many. But a good mixture of build for S & C, the match and undercard, as well as beyond. That last segment really elevated the show for me, so well done to Kurt for creating a defining moment.....again!
Match reviews to come.

Sorry this took me so long, been a busy few days. Anyway, onto feedback. Matches were incredibly well written, especially the time limit match, which I thought was an interesting concept on the card, and very well executed. My own match I thought was exceptional. I'm not sure if that ending was suppose to be ironic or not. (Specter says Kurt can win by count-out. Specter shows anyway. Kurt still wins by count-out.) Regardless it did very well to show that whatever respect was between Noble and Specter in the past is long past gone. Very well done. Some very interesting segments, for not only S&C but Overdrive in general. Just goes to show that even if you're an outsider like me, if you read the shows, you can pick up some good nuggets of info for S&C RPs. Should be interesting to see who pays attention and takes what they learn away and uses it. And on a personal level, I'd just like to apologize again for the RP that I put out. I can only hope that the re-post I did somehow made up for it. Regardless I've had an excellent time here, with a group of whom have been very accomidating towards me. So thank you all. Oh, and just a small point. I don't run SCW. Dorling does. I just assist him and Doug when they need help. This week being the case. Still, shouldn't have deadlined, so sorry for that.
