Well for my first match back and first time seeing the results once again. I have to say im amazed.
A lot of good segments going on at the moment, really livens things up.
Its good to know what the Pillars of Asylum are about now. I had no idea, so I went with what I figured it would have been, lol.
Great match Keaton Saint. First time I went up against you and its an honor sir.
Also its good that everyone's taking notice on me screwing Kash over like he did me. And realizing once he gets back its going to be on!
A lot of great matches wrote here tonight. I loved every second of Asylum. A little different from what I am use to but thats what Biggs was going for probably lol.
Overall, great job everyone! Its good to be back!

ok so here it is in real time, i hope this does people justice.... *clears throat* interesting how we start the show with a political debate. is Atken a politician now? id vote for him how long does each person get? he barely said 2 sentences and gets cut off? i smell foul play. "When I came out last week and pummelled Phil Atken with a baseball bat and fed him to Phil Atken?" this sentence doesnt sound rite to me. typo maybe? Wow, Atken isnt getting any respect like Rodney Dangerfield. looks like shane better watch himself or he will get his. this is where things get messy. in the ends, its still words and i cant wait to see the rps for this match. now we have the battle royal. pretty straight forward but i was amazed to see bailey go out instead of at the end. then again, i didnt get the chance to read the rp's so craven must of had something really well. he certainly put up one hell of a fight and could possibly see a new champion in the future? close call and good win for AJP. i could see this going further easily. lil shoot promo by AJP. another person to win S&C? that makes a total of 100 winners this year rite? sweeeeeeet i will admit, it was kinda cheesy but the AJP character needs to be established as the person trying to catch up with other talent and by that i mean show that she is on the same level as Sally Talfourd and L-O. (hopefully that made sense) Raab not representing APW in S&C? guess who is about to be eliminated first ahead of Branden Harvey, Young Mannie and whatever that guys name was on the podcast certainly building the heat for Raab vs Jeff at RM. oh look, me and WDW. appreciate the help pushing the alienation. BAD KNUCKLES!!! OD guys on Asylum? what is this? charity? they need an extra pay day to pay bills? nice to see that they recognize the better talent on Asylum lol. looking for a new member eh? hmmmmm. interesting to see these guys beg for a tag title shot. didnt think id ever see them BEG for anything i think a Pillars vs Sindicate would be a VERY interesting feud. possible RM match? Did i miss Terry go heal again? damn it.... CAT FIGHT!!! well sorta, L-O getting his ass beat by 6 chicks. how i envy him rite now LOL. and a typical L-O double cross. LOVE IT!! i totally wanna see this at RM now. BOOK IT!!! ugh my match? really? love the confrontation but having DB come down and not help kinda hurt the match. would ave made it a little more exciting. dig the chocolate wasted spot tho. was worth reading that. it needed more weapons and less wrestling tho. when i think no DQ, i think ECW. good win for WDW, was fun to push the mini feud and good to see him move up like Bailey did. not to mention to be established as a guy who can compete with TJ. glad to have helped finally a pillars segment. was hoping to see this sooner but o well. after some banter, i see we have Sally vs TJ? whoa very interesting. y face off against a team mate? i would have loved to see this on a bigger venue like PPV. TJ laying out Sally? holy hell, WDW is gonna have a tuff time. well done. M&M talking about the tag match. im curious as to y this is gonna b on meltdown. rnt all members on Asylum? aside for LA? i almost feel that AJP overshadows LA. as if LA was kinda holding AJP back. shes been getting alot of exposure as of late and it could easily turn into a WHC run very quickly leaving LA in the dust. Well, Saint wanted borderland so now he got it. its good to see Shane back and going toe to toe with Saint. very well done on the match writing aspect pushing both of these guys. shocked to see Shane win but it was hard fought and well deserved. Saint is far from being a push over. i cant wait to see him and Kash clash later on. TJ showing some initiative and gunning for WDW. this is a match im looking forward to after the S&C match of coarse will be a good PPV. ME time. Callahan seriously needs to do more commentary. i see him as the MR Perfect of APW and it could lead to good things. LOVE every word of it. i didnt no Callahan smokes? gross..... great back and forth all match. i did think the dig at Jason Kash during the match was a lil odd but w/e. a KO AND TAP OUT? well done! again, another match i cant wait to read upon at the PPV. and Atken stealing a shoe ends Asylum on a high note......obviously 7/10 S&C is gonna kick so much ass this yr and hopefully all of this leads to RM with alot more fireworks. and thats my review.

Full commentary coming later but Knux, why would DB interfere in the match? It would have only discredited WDW's win which already happened between WDW and Knux. Logically they wouldn't as it's vastly out of character... That was the problem we had 2 weeks ago, remember? I'm also not a fan of overly barbaric hardcore matches. If I were to try to write one, you'd be disappointed.

lol I just can't do it! I'll veer away from writing the hardcore matches on Asylum, since I know Asylum is the show where that type of style is looked at as "classic", which I respect. I just can't bring myself to write "garbage" matches unless there's a deep, brewing rivalry involved. It'd make sense if WDW and Knuckles were bitter enemies out for each others' blood-- but they aren't. In theory, Williams would feel horrible if he were to accidentally injure Knuckles in the course of the match. Knuckles was more likely to do it, which is why he was the one to capitalize on the hardcore environment and he was the one to introduce the chair.
In theory, the match could've gotten much uglier, but the less-violent William D Williams incapacitated Knuckles before it got to that point, thus negating the necessity of the steel chair, while still utilizing it to gain the upperhand. De nada. ;D

This is exactly the kind of dangerous and senseless violence that dear Phil Atken was talking about.

I thought Asylum was the violent show. I'm kinda between Envi and Knux here. While I don't think hardcore matches have to be barbaric, they should offer something a bit different and bring an ott fun factor, not just another wrestling match where occasional a weapon may be used. I think of hardcore matches as WWE Attitude era hardcore championship, lots of weapons, though not necessarily extreme violence, some unique spots and plenty of fun for the crowd/reader.
Oh and I'll get around to a full review at some point this week.

I think it was good for a no-dq match, no-dq =/= brutality. I see it as the rules have been bent, but not broken, still countouts, the match still has to finish in the ring. And it also comes down to the writers personal preference, I mean I wrote an I Quit match against TJ and Julius and it didn't really have a weapon used until the end of the match.

I think I Quits's can go either way with a lot of credibility depending on the context. For example, the I Quit match you wrote TJ was perfect for our feud because that wasn't so much about a hatred between two guys, as it was about two belligerent dudes refusing to show weakness in front of the other, it was a battle of wills focussed on Jules' obsession with making TJ tap, and TJ's maintaing his career record of never quitting or tapping out.
The T-Marv/Keaton Saint I Quit at Rasslemania was a different affair, born out of a mutual personal hatred between the two characters, hence a pretty brutal and violent match.

That is very true and plays to the fitting a character part of hardcore matches, if it's unlike a character to go that route and he suddenly is throwing chairs around like they're candy, then it doesn't help

Hey guys...I think the DQ match went the way it should have considering the foundation of the characters. If the match had gone straight medival..there is no way WDWJ beats Knuckles...I agree with Envi on the line that WDWJ had to finish it before it got out of hand.
I love AJP...everything she does is golden...I could be biased...I am baised!! Seriously..she is on fire and winning the mini battle royal is just the tip of the iceberg. Love the shoot after the win as well. I just want to know after Survive and Conquer...dinner is on you!!
TJ...wow great win over Sally....I hear you loud and clear bro...I am going to give you everything I have...and then some. I will as that between now and sunday you KO someone so you can get that out of your system!!!
Knux... great seg...you should be firmly misunderstood and ummm...you should spit things in peoples faces ..thats nasty because Chocolate Wasted doesn't taste good mixed with Donky punch!!
Rabb..I loved your RP..it made me laugh!! LOL I am down for Ice soccer...but it looks like a torn ACL waiting to happen!
A no show by J-Hop was disappointing and Bailey having a little bout of WB...kind of cheated the match out of better fight from those too!
I thought I saw a HBK reference ...I thought mentioning real life WWE stars was a no no??
Sally is great...I loved the rebuttle of the Sindicate...I need to read more Overdrive!!
M&M vs. TDB....I want more...don't you??
Great show as always....Can't wait til S&C!!

Okay, here are my Asylum notes.
The Great Debate. Poor old Atken, even with the top belt he still has no influence. Is Shane West in Callahan’s pocket? I liked Callahan’s opening bit about him being a vigilante with a moral mandate. Brilliant! As these things should, it descended into farce, and Callahan finish strongly with the last word made sense to set up this Champion-in-peril theme going into S & C. I’m glad there were no physical handbags either ahead of the big match.
Solid promo for AJP. The S & C was a bit by the by for me, but I liked the stuff about the Suidical Title, good tweener logic there. Well done!
I didn’t get the Raab segment. If he hates APW so much, why continue to honour the contract? This would have had more punch and intent if Raab had said I’m through with APW, tore up his contract and said he was representing somebody else. Obviously, there would be ramifications for that, and because of that it didn’t really work for me.
Can we get away with saying ‘fuck’ on a network show on a Sunday evening? Anyway, I’m not sure why Knuckles’ integrity has been called into question, but it will be interesting to see where Knux takes this one.
The Sindicate are in town to wreak havoc, but not if Sherriff Sally has anything to say or do about it. The image of Level-One being ‘taken’ by six young women has me....confused. Should I be horny, or should I be excited by this daring exhibition of ‘girl power’? Vannah White’s involvement was interesting, but leaves a big question mark now about her S & C spot. I suspect this one has some way to go.
Donkey Punch vs. Chocolate Wasted. Good fun no dq match. I didn’t think one particularly violent, just two warriors scrapping within the limits of the rules. Knux is supposed to be this intense in-ring competitor with a violent background anyway, so that he instigated the more ‘extreme’ parts of the match and introduced the weapons was in no way inconsistent; Mr. Smooth simply took advantage of the situation in accordance with the match rules. Also, good match length, perfect for Asylum.
I liked having an impromptu match on the show, although I don’t quite see the motivation for why The Pillars would want to square off in an actual match. I find it incredible that two allies could really go at with the kind of intensity that merits a genuine match (or the intensity this match had) without some sort of consequence. I can only assume there is some bigger picture involved here, especially with the finish to the match.
The M & M segment was fine for what it was, but I can’t help but feel it could have been incorporated into AJP’s earlier segment. Not sure it necessitated a separate promo.
Borderland vs. Saint. Excellent, well-written match. Kudos to whoever put that nasty little affair together.
Good promo from TJ, and I too am a fan of this KO angle – it certainly fits the character. One thing, nice reference to the match with Sally, but I’d like to have seen a bit more sensitivity from TJ on that point, gives me more reason to empathise and buy his face credentials. A bit of sympathy/concern/regret would be logical.
Main Event. I’ll be honest, I was so engrossed in the excellent commentary from Callahan that I glossed over much of the in-ring action. There was certified nuggets of gold in there, well done Sir!
It was important that Atken came out of this show looking strong too. It’s all set for a battle between Asylum’s two biggest ball lickers at Survive & Conquer.
Good show. Solid stuff. All it was missing was more S & C match hype.
