::The APW is on the road as Meltdown is back in the United States and heading towards Los Angeles, California. There are however, several stops along the way. One of those stops is the indoor sports arena of Washington State, in the state of Washington.::
::The show has ended. The fans, who had witnessed eight great matches this night, have already left. Some are waiting around for autographs. Others have gone home. Still some have left for the various eating establishments to grab a late night bite after the show.::
::With the show over, the crew is busy taking apart the ring where the action took place that night as well as the entrance set the APW wrestlers walked through. They are busy lowering the lighting fixtures they had set up. Some of them are folding up the empty chairs.::
::All but one chair is empty. It is up in the highest section of the arena. The chair is occupied by “The Hong Kong Sensation” Amy Zing.::
::She had arrived in town early yesterday, managed to get into the gym, get food and gewt some sleep. Today, she attended an autograph session as part of a meet and greet with fans. She then managed to grab a quick bite to eat before having to get ready for her match. Tonight, she wrestled the third match of the night. She had competed in a six-person tag team match, which seemed to be put together more logically than her team in the opening match of the Survive & Conquer pay-per-view had been. Her team had managed to gain the victory, it .::
::Now, her night was over. From here, she can see from the vantage point of her fans. Here, she can be all alone in her thoughts, which have been somewhat dark and violent these last few weeks.::
::Amy has her arms laying on the small railing, with her head resting on top, looking off into space. Her hair is undone, nearly dry from her post match shower. She is dressed in a pair of denim jeans, her Nike Air sneakers, which seem new, and a t-shirt. Her shirt is a brand new Amy Zing t-shirt depicting the outline of a person going through the various motions of Amy’s signature pose, with her catchphrase “Simply Amy Zing” on the back. Her jacket is draped over the back of the chair. Her gym bag is in the seat next to her.::
“First of all, I would like to thank all my friends and fans for their support these past two weeks. I would also like to thank President Jeff, APW management and the legal department for their help during this time. The settlement arranged with my parents was more than fair.”
“As for Meltdown management, Alexander Duvall and Sienna Harrison, I am going to let President Jeff deal with you two, because it would be the safer alternative. Young Mannie abducts my parents, an action which opened APW up to possible legal actions, and is not punished. Instead, he is granted a title shot at the primary belt of a show he has admit he has no desire to be on.”
“However, I attack his Uncle Charlie and I lose a month’s pay.”
::She leans back a bit and shakes her head.::
“Yeah, that seems fair.”
::Amy brushes a lock of hair from her face as she leans all the way back in her seat.::
“I assume that my being involved in the match is some sort of a bribe or your rather weak attempt at an apology. Honestly I do not really care. Let me make one thing absolutely crystal clear for you two. You are very lucky President Jeff did not fire either of you for your gross incompetence and complete mismanagement of Meltdown. However, regardless of whatever he does, you two will be getting off easy.”
“I am telling you two right now, if this ever happens again, if anyone ever goes after my parents again, I will hold you two personally accountable and I will end you both before you are able to beg for your lives and say that you are sorry.”
::There is no hint of lie in her voice. She means it and it is clear from her tone that she means every word of it.::
::Amy leans her head back a bit and chuckles a bit.::
“Sorry.”
::She lowers her head and sighs. She then leans back on the small railing in front of her.::
“There is a word I have been saying a lot for the last week. My parents were not too thrilled when I decided to become a professional wrestler. They have been supportive. Getting abducted by Young Mannie was not exactly really all that helpful to them being thrilled. So I have spent much of this week apologizing to them for this. It seems I have spent nearly every conversation with my parents saying “I’m sorry”.”
“Somehow, because of that, it seems really appropriate to me that I should apologize for a lot of things that have been happening or are going to happen here in the APW. Honestly, I do have a lot of things to be sorry for.”
::“The Hong Kong Sensation” leans back in her seat. She looks almost apologetic as she speaks.::
“Right off the top of my head, I’m sorry I bothered to give Alexander Duvall and Sienna Harrison the benefit of the doubt when Duvall took over as the General Manager of Monday Night Meltdown.”
“I am the type of person who likes to give people the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance before judging them. So I gave Duvall and Harrison a chance. That, in hindsight, was an error in judgment.”
“Oh well.”
“Hindsight is twenty-twenty as they say.”
::She shrugs slightly.::
“Well, that is a lesson learned I suppose.”
“Alexander Duvall, I’m sorry you’re psychotically obsessed with Logan Alexander for some bizarre reason. I am also sorry Sienna Harrison, I am sorry you are a narcissistic bitch who just feels the need to go after people for unknown reasons, though that may be a family trait.”
“Now I am sure my words are not going to be well received by either of you two. However, unlike Logan Alexander or whoever Sienna decides to pick on this week, I am not nice enough to just take it and thwart your attempts.”
::There is a harshness, a coldness in her voice. It is the voice of someone who would be more than willing to back up her words with actions.::
“No. You see behind the nice, friendly, pleasant and polite Amy Zing the world sees is a person who rather than take the abuse would simply decide to end you both without a second thought. Personally I am sorry you two are really bad at the whole General Manager thing. It is really sort of sad how bad you two are at this.”
“I am also sorry that you will probably not be seeing your dream of Logan Alexander losing his North American Championship.”
::She leans her head back, looking up at the ceiling of the arena. There is a longing and a desire in her voice.::
“I want that title. I want to finally win a championship. Now granted, my career is not that long. It has only been a few years. However, in that time, I have never won a championship. I would like to. I would like to have that moment where I finally raise a title over my head. I would like to know that all the blood, sweat and tears, all the sacrifice, hard work and dedication has finally paid off.”
::Amy sighs longingly. She runs her hands through her long dark hair and drops them. They make a small slapping sound against her thighs, bounce off once and land on her thighs again. In her voice is the sound of someone accepting that they cannot achieve their dream yet, that sound of someone accepting that it is not yet their time, despite how much they want it.::
“But that will probably not happen this time. No, see as much as I want it, I would rather do what I can to prevent Young Mannie from winning that championship. So, to all my friends and family members who will make the trip to Los Angeles to see me wrestle, and to all my fans around the world who hope this is my moment, I am sorry. I am sorry that I will have to postpone my moment in the sun to try and stop Young Mannie from having his.”
::She lowers her head, looking down at crew as they take the ring apart. The ropes are being taken down as the turnbuckles get unscrewed. The longing and desire are no longer audible in her voice as she sounds like she always does.::
“Logan Alexander I am sorry I said anything negative in regards to your issues with Alexander Duvall. The guy clearly has an unhealthy obsession with you. I am sure there is one hell of a back story behind all of it. I have no idea what it is and I have a fair guess neither do you.”
“I am also sorry that I doubted you as the person you are and as a champion. To be fair, in the early days of your reign, you were rather whiny about the whole affair. However, in the time since then, you have turned it around and become the Logan Alexander I remember you being. You survived the five-pack challenge and every single thing Alexander Duvall has thrown at you to not only stay North American Champion, but also one half of the APW Tag Team Champions. I really am sorry for doubting you.”
::She sound a little disappointed as she speaks.::
“More importantly though, I am truly and deeply sorry that I cannot give you the match you deserve at Meltdown. I would love to step into the ring you, challenge you for the championship and give you the kind of match you deserve. You deserve a great match and I would love to give that to you. However, I would rather prevent Young Mannie from winning the title and making Duvall happy. I am sure you can agree with that. I am willing to sacrifice my moment to prevent them from having theirs. For that though, I am sorry.”
::The disappointment can no longer be heard in her voice.::
“Logan Alexander, you have proven yourself a great North American Champion. I do not know if it really matters to you or not, but you have regained my respect and admiration within these last few weeks.”
::There is an amused look on her face.::
“Logan, I am sorry, but it seems you will have to deal with Duvall’s crap for a bit longer because you will probably still be North American Champion when Meltdown is over.”
::Her voice and demeanor change. There hate and anger in her heart. It is clearly audible in her voice and visible in her eyes.
“Now as for you Young Mannie, I am sorry.”
“I am sorry you and Uncle Charlie were too bloody stupid to realize actions had consequences. You two insulted me and attacked me. I was not going to let that slide. I fail to understand why on earth you would assume I, or anyone for that matter, would allow such an action to slide. I attack Uncle Charlie and you respond with an act of sheer brilliant stupidity by abducting my parents. That you bloody damn well know I will not let slide.”
“You think a triple threat match was going to end it? No. This ends when I end you. I am sorry you were so very wrong when you thought that I would just lay down and die.”
::It is getting harder for her to control her voice. It is almost like she is trying not to yell, but still has that raised angry tone in her voice. There is hate there in her voice. It is pure, and not entirely undeserved considering what she has gone through this last month.::
“I find I am also sorry that you are such a spineless and pathetic coward that you had to resort to hiring Alec Quartermain to keep you safe from such a big, bad killing machine like me. I did not realize I was so scary that you needed protection.”
“It doesn’t matter what you say on Twitter or on Facebook. It doesn’t matter what you say in an interview or in whatever promo you decide to cut. The fact remains you did not hire Alec Quartermain until you began fighting me. You hired a man nearly twice your size to protect you from a woman about half your size.”
“I am sorry that you are so damn weak that you cannot finish what you started. Unlike you, I have no issue finishing the things I start and I am sorry that February 11th is not closer, because on that night, I am going to finish this. And nothing I do in that match will be anything I will feel sorry about. Inside the steel cage, where your bodyguard Alec Quartermain will be able to protect you from me.”
“But you know what I am the most sorry about Young Mannie?”
::She laughs. Amy Zing actually laughs. It is not a joyous happy laugh. No. It is more a cold, cruel laugh, like something you would hear from some kind of sadistic psychopath.::
“I am sorry that you are such a goddamned disgrace. You want to talk all the trash you want about me, who I am , what I stand for, my parents, or whatever you want to because you clearly love the sound of your own voice, then that’s fine. But the bottom line is at least I am not a spineless, pathetic, worthless, miserable cowardly excuse of a person like you. I find it rather sad that you claim to be this big strong tough guy and yet, it would seems that I have a bigger set of balls than you do, metaphorically speaking.”
“Come to think of it, do you even have a set? I mean really, the fact you call yourself a man, let alone even consider yourself on is laughable. Really, you are something of a laughing stock when I think of anyone with XY chromosomes.”
::In her voice is hate, anger and a coldness. It is the kind of coldness one reserves for someone that could be considered beneath them, yet has still managed to earn their scorn and their wrath.::
“You have always been a weak and pitiful excuse of a man Young Mannie. The only difference is now the entire world knows it. I am sorry you don’t know what true strength is.”
“I am also sorry that you will not enter the steel cage as the North American Champion.”
::She stops and appears like she is thinking for a moment.::
“Actually, no, I am not.”
::She smiles. The coldness is no longer audible in her voice.::
“I may not win at Meltdown, but I will only consider it a loss if you walk out with the title. However, February 11th will still happen and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. You could injure me. You could have Alec Quartermain do what you cannot and try to take me out. But I will still show up to that cage match and I will still end you. You had bloody damn well kill me this week, because that is the only thing that will save your sorry ass.”
::The hate and anger is not as clearly audible in her voice.::
“Logan Alexander, if you want to win this week, then stay out of way, let me beat the absolute bloody piss out of Young Mannie and then pick up whatever pieces of his worthless carcass I leave in the ring.”
::She sighs and smiles, looking off to her left. The hate and anger she had directed to “the Main Attraction” has left her voice. The tone of her voice is not yet her usual happy, friendly tone.::
“And yet, I doubt you are actually going to do that.”
::She closes her eyes and sighs. She genuinely smiles once she opens her eyes.::
“No Logan Alexander, you are a fighting champion. It is what you do. It is who you are. It is why you have accomplished all you have accomplished. So I am going into Meltdown with that in mind and I am expecting you to put up a fight.”
::She stops smiling. There is a determination and focus in her voice.::
“Logan, you and I don’t really get along. We do not see eye to eye. However, I want you to believe me when I say I want to kick Young Mannie’s head off more than I want that title. I also hope you believe me when I say that I want to keep the title off Young Mannie a whole hell of a lot more than you do. ”
::In one fluid motion, Amy rises to her feet, standing to her full height and looking into the camera.::
“So there will be no wishing anyone good luck or any may the best competitor win bullocks. There will be no dropping my catchphrase. There will only me be going to that ring with the goal of beating the hell out of you, Young Mannie and preventing you from winning the title. Then next week, I get you in the cage where I will make you my bitch. And that, Young Mannie, I will not be sorry for.”
::Amy grabs her jacket from the back of her seat and slips it on. She picks her bag up and slings it over her right shoulder. The scene fades out as she walks off.::
::The show has ended. The fans, who had witnessed eight great matches this night, have already left. Some are waiting around for autographs. Others have gone home. Still some have left for the various eating establishments to grab a late night bite after the show.::
