I wish I had gotten a segment in for this. Great show nonetheless. Some coding errors, but that is entirely irrelevant to the actual product itself, which was TOP NOTCH. I'm especially a fan to the writing in my own match (Jules, I do believe); very intense, very realistic, very good!
Much congrats to Mannie on capturing the North American championship. You deserved it man.
We had a geat showing in RP talent this week. All the new and fresh faces... this is why I love Meltdown.
You guys did an excellent job in composing the show. Much appreciated!

Interesting opening to the show, very sombre.
No fanfare, no commentary to open the show. Maybe to do with time impositions?
Into a match, good win for Washington who has entered APW strong.
I thought Cid Phoenix was a face (his bio certainly says he is) – why are the crowd booing him, and why he is cutting a promo that will draw heel heat? I understand when new people come in they want to cut a promo that makes them stand-out and draw some attention I guess, but imo you need to find a way that is different to saying ‘this will be the year of x’, or ‘I’m going to run this show’. If it doesn’t happen you’re not doing yourself any favours, plus it’s so commonplace nowadays that it barely registers. When Terry Marvin says he is going to dominate 2013, I can buy that because he’s backed it up with the most incredible 12 months in APW history, but when its Cid Phoenix, no disrespect, who has come and gone a number of times it’s a bit incredible. Otherwise, well done Cid for getting something out there, putting over your opponent from last week (may be there could be a follow up), it shows some initiative, which we need on Meltdown. I just think a slightly different approach would have been better, maybe Cid rather than promising riches saying the fans hadn’t really seen the best of him before, but he is out to prove he isn’t just another name to pass through and out the door. But then that would be a face promo, and you seem to want to go down the heel route (if this is the case I would recommend updating your bio).
Hyatt vs. Cain. I know I sound like a broken record when I say this, but ‘live’ matches ought to be written in present tense. Otherwise a pretty enjoyable match. Let’s see if Hyatt/Ingram can use this momentum to push on.
Amy Zing. I thought this promo was fine at addressing Logan’s criticism of Amy (maybe some feminists may disagree with the logic of posing nude as empowering women, but I digress), good hype for the title match, until........
NO! NO! NO! While I agree OOC our sole purpose here shouldn’t be trying to win a title, and I’m glad to see people proactively building stories on Meltdown, in character it’s the top prize, the only prize in fact, on Meltdown – never bury it! We’re playing wrestlers, competitive athletes, gold means power, so how could a title ever be secondary in a fighter’s mind? If Amy wins, it is only going to empower her over Mannie, she will have something he has never had, you have to think of it in this way, connect the dots on how winning the title will enhance the feud with Young Mannie, not reduce the title to below it.
6-person tag. Sorry, I screwed up the coding at the start, and I broke my personal rule of exceeding the Meltdown match writing guidelines. But I tend to get carried away writing tag matches – apologies.
Hood vs. Niobe. It was brief, but a lot of carnage. I didn’t get why Sienna was pissed off since it was a steel chairs match, it’s going to get a bit out of hand. I assume the time restrains Hood had affected the write-up, but I think leaving it a bit unresolved worked out well, gives this one a few more legs to run with. Well done!
Tag Match. I like the stipulation in this one. There was some good commentary in this match too, well done whoever wrote it. Good match, action-packed, and plenty for everyone to take away and work with.
Good segment from Sienna/Evan. HUGE announcements in that one, looking forward to seeing how the draft plays out.
ME. Nice to see Amy Zing’s psychology included in this one, ignoring Logan early doors and focussing on Mannie. The match then went into Overdrive, frantic, frenetic pace, I loved the extended false finish section, the return of KJE was a genuine surprise, and the shock win by Young Mannie at the end. Absolutely stellar! Whoever wrote this, my hat off to you.
Congratulations Young Mannie! You have arrived!
