In what can only be described as a tumultuous fortnight for the legal department of Action Packed Wrestling as it attempts to contend with a number of high profile suits against the organisation, ghettoblasterwrestling.com is now able to report that things are about to become even more hectic as a result of the misdemeanors of one particular high-profile Megastar and his run-ins with the law.
It has been confirmed by a trusted insider that Asylum megastar and World Championship hopeful Michael Callahan is pending a number of traffic court dates regarding the non-payment of various parking tickets. Over the last year since becoming an APW megastar, Callahan is reportedly in arrears of $2,000 worth of parking violations performed across the country. His charges range from the benign like parking in a private lot without a ticket all the way to the downright bizarre such as parking his prized Ford Mustang across the middle of a busy Seattle main street in order to get out on foot and allegedly pursue a mugger who'd just claimed the purse of a 65 year old Seattle woman.
The first trial is scheduled for February 21st and will be held in the Traffic Division of Clark County Court, Nevada, and will see Callahan faced with charges for parking his Mustang illegally in The Luxor casino on a podium ordinarily reserved for big win prize cars. After he had parked, Callahan reportedly spent the rest of his night here with friends as he gambled the winnings of his victory over Sally Talfourd for the $200 prize match at last years Mayhem.
While this couldn't come at a worse time for a legal department already pushed to the breaking point with a pending manslaughter and kidnap case awaiting them, this just goes to show that nobody is above the law no matter how small the crime and that even on the Road to Rasslemania, you still have to pay your parking fines. Callahan is expected to plead Not Guilty to all of his charges but with the evidence stacked against him, Clark County Prosecutions Lawyer Jesse Klijinsma believes it to be a simple open and shut case.
