Hey peeps. I rarely ask for feedback for anything but I was wondering what you all thought of the rasslemania gfx for the boards? I actually treat these gfx jobs as serious business and appreciate being asked to do them. It actually looks nothing like it was intended too. I accidentially clicked on the wrong font but it just jumped out at me and I am smitten by it.

I love the banner. For these reasons
- I love the font. - It's clean - It seems formal, which for the Biggest show of the year, it should. It should make me feel like I'm attending/viewing a big deal.
Honestly, I feel like your show banners and posters are much better than your other graphics, maybe because they (The banners) fits the preferences I have for graphics better than your other work Your SnC banner and card banner were great. Maybe it's because I feel that you do too much in your graphics, like i said in your portfolio post, many times, less is more, and in the case of your banners for the shows, that is the case and they help.
I think a small border, probably 1 pixel, centered around the outside would have made it even better.

I agree with TJ.
It's just clean. Anyone that is on the page will know what is coming without having to figure out a Picasso's work of a banner.
You did a great job.

I do try to fit a lot in most of the time. Like I saidi had much bigger plans for this but once isaw it as it it just struck me as a big time event graphic that you'd see on an old wrestling vhs cover art. I'm not good with boarders at all I tend to have the same problem with boarders as you mention with adding to much to sigs. When I start doing boarders they end up being intricate and stand out too much.
The survuve and conquer stuff was easy. The expploding big ben just made sense to me. I think I'm just lucky that when my mind creates art I am able to find enough tow work with to translate it well. From the very start I wanted the v for venndettaesque big ben fire works.
Thanks for the reply I appreciate the feedback.

I have mixed feelings. On one-hand, the text that reads the company's name looks absolutely stellar man. Even the tight/non-existent spacing works marvelously, whereas that typically wouldn't work. You made it work! Big props.
I'm not a fan of how hard it is to read the details beneath the "Rasslemania". I think the the GFX was increased in it's pixel size slightly, and the text was increased by 2-4 points, it'd be fine.
I have mixed feelings in regards to the Rasselmania text/logo itself. On one hand, the dotted style works. It gives that flashy, attention-grabbing, Hollywood-esque appeal. The color scheme works perfectly, with everything melding neatly together.
I'm not a fan of the border on the text. I do understand how impossible it is to make a border/outline around the font look cohesive. Maybe if you increased the size by 1 or 2 points, and drop the transparency to 60-75%. It just doesn't meld right imho. I think the entire GFX should also be sharpened once, perhaps also apply the "sharpen edges" with this.
Along with this, I'm not fond of the background you made for it. It just looks a tad... uhh.... childish? That sounds a LOT more negative then intended. But, I think it is a fitting description for the style of background.
All in all, it's not terrible by anymeans. Quite of a few my criticisms are simply due to the small size that is required for APW PPV banners. I hope this didn't read to negative, as it IS a good work. (Y)
