So the show is in midpost, but I figured I'd get the thank yous out of the way. Thanks to Buckson Gooch, Jason Kash, and AJP for writing matches, and Knux, TJ, Atken, Callahan, Jair, WDW Jr., Bailey, AJP, Kash, Jeff, and Raab for segs.

Excellent show all-round folks, lots of loose ends that I look forward to seeing tied up in the lead up to Rasslemania. I'll offer more detailed thoughts when I have some time.

A few things that have been in the works for a good few months now began to unfold at this show. The Chair Shot scene with Knuckles was planned like 4-5 Months back but it was originally suppose to be 15-20 chair shots and I felt it was a bit unrealistic as I wrote it but I think it came out well. Beating AJP is kind of awesome, I hadn't figured I could do it but I wanted to for sure. Ain't too many wins I care either way on but I'm glad I got this one. I love the storylines on deck for Asylum. Jeff and Raabies, The Pillars and what they'll do next, AJP going bat chick crazy and fucking folks up, and now Callahan/Atken II? SICK!!

-A segment between me and Knuckles, what could it mean?!?!?! If you guessed a tag team between TJ and Knuckles, you're wrong so stop it.
- Loved the Phil Atken segment. It's different from the Atken of 2012. He's far more confident in his speech, not so much relying on his group to talk, and very much cocky. I love it. I loved that you had the "have fun in your scrap for the silver metal line"
- YES! GENE WILDER WONKA REFERENCE! Loved the segment between Knuckles and Regi, loved it and sets up what happens later in the night.
- Loved the stuff between Kash and AJP, except, I'd expect Kash to be a bit more hyped about getting a measure of revenge, but it works. I loved how this is what made AJP snap, I didn't read the entire show through, kinda skimmed through on Sunday, but if this is what makes her snap, well done.
- Great match between AJP and Kash, both looked good. I enjoyed the commentary and the match flowed very well. Congrats to Kash on the win.
- The Dark Match championship has changed hands! Nice little thing, although seems cheap for knuckles first over Kash, although the next time they face off, both have something to talk about, as if they didn't talk about each other enough!
- Segment between me and Saint involving what seems to be the departure of Sally Talfourd. I MUST FIND SAINT!
- I FOUND SAINT GUYS! GUYS I FOUND SAINT!
- YES! PRESIDENT JEFF VS RAAB IS OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! RAAB GETS WHAT HE WANTS! Although, does he want an ass whooping? Or the post Hurricane Jeff curse?!? Loved this segment. I loved that Raab did all the talking too, continues to get under the skin of everyone.
- Great segment from Callahan, would have like to get an on-air reaction to his loss, but Callahan is all business. Nice hyping of the main even. I like the acknowledgement of the War Ensamba during PPVs recently.
- Pillars vs Breed....heh. A problem filled match. The commentary was off:
-- Beckett being surprised that two guys who have, in character, just got done spending two weeks in Vancouver, going to the same gym. Two guys who have been a part of a group for about three months surprisingly work well.
-- Nailz calling that William's is a "big man" doing an agile move with a double axe handle from the top rope, he's 6'3'' 235, not all THAT big. ANd a double axe handle from the top rope, not all that agile.
-- Beckett calls Jair one of the toughest guys in APW, which would have been fine but at the time of the call, he wasn't displaying his toughness.
Then there is the action in the match.
-- TJ and Saint kinda played it dirty, which goes against their M.O. as Pillars. Jair tries to powerbomb TJ, whose got more than half a foot on him and I more than 50 pounds, it made Jair looks dumb. --- You kinda had everyone wrestling the wrong way. Williams was going to the top rope as a submission's guy, Jair was trying to over power people when his game is speed. Keaton was wrestling power wise when he's more submission and TJ's doing drop kicks.
-- You had guys bouncing off ropes and getting hit with a power bomb with no lead to how it got to that. It's not something you can just have happen.
And the coup de grace, a double clothesline finish. Not like Jair and Williams holding hands and hitting TJ with a double clothesline, TJ hitting Jair with a Clothesline and Jair hitting TJ with a clothesline. I don't remember this match being this frustrating to read the first time. But like, TJ's 6'10'' 275. Jair is 5' 8'' 200 pounds EVEN! Can anyone see Jair hitting a clothesline from his own feet on TJ and it knocking TJ long enough for a pin? Seriously, I don't mean to rag and I'm not hating because it's my guy, at least not solely the reason, but if Jair would hit say Shadow who is just as big as TJ, it wouldn't have worked any ways. I don't mind losing, but for christ sake, let it be an actual finisher that puts TJ away, because the match wasn't long enough to wind TJ out. In the time I've written this part of the feedback, I have been trying to find a way to justify that finish. I really can't. Congrats to Jair and WDWJ though, you guys earned the win. But holy crap man, i think it was gooch who wrote this and man, I enjoy you're work, but this reallllllllllllllllly, REAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYY irks the shit out of me. It read like you didn't read any of the profiles minus putting in the Impact Bomb, there was nothing but standard moves, many of which, didn't fit who tried to/did perform them.
- AJP Snaps and boy was it great. At first i thought she just took out Bailey, but I now read that she took out ALL of TBD. Wow, this is gonna be fun, especially with Logan Alexander coming to Asylum where I presume, they'll have a bit of a program, which is gonna be AWESOME. It could either be j-hop vs Aubrey for the Suicidal title OR M&M vs TBD for the tag titles in a rematch. GOnna be fun to read.
- 20 yard long locker room? That's a fucking long ass locker room guys. That was a fight, not Hart/Noble level, but man that was some good stuff. Loved the bit with the fuzzy handcuffs. I know what's happening next and this is the perfect lead to it.
- I liked this segment. Jair, the one who feels attacked the most, is rightfully upset while WDWJ and Bailey try to calm him down and justify what happened. What i like is, and maybe it's not done on purpose, but TBD is three guys, two of them who come from a good background and one not so much, that one, Jair, is going with "shots fired" type deal while WDWJ and Bailey are doing the "white boy thing" and trying to figure out what is happening before deciding. If this was done on purpose, bravo. I loved it. If I spoiled this, I apoligize, but I'm a sucker for deeper meaning.
- Good match between Slade and Raab, good win for Slade in what might be the last time these two face for a while, given we just got 4 new talents on Asylum. Some good spots, I really liked Raab's interacting with the fans and that costing him the win and the commentary note about this being what Jeff was talking about.
- Ladies and Gentleman, whoever is currently occupying the body of AJP has left the building! I like how she left crying, if anything that AJP posted on twitter about "failing people's expectations" has to do with this, I approve.
- WHOA! TJ vs Raab next week? Will Raabies finally be cured? Will Raab's fingers be away from the keyboard long enough to wrestle? WILL THERE BE JK BON BONS (Hint Maybe Yes No). I added the intrigue of a Unfair Advantage Match to, figure I've been pushing this most dangerous guy in APW thing, giving someone the abilty to do whatever to beat him will help that if I win or put an end to that if I lose. Look forward to what ya got Raab
- Great main event good back and forth and both guys looked great. Excited for Atken/Callahan Dos, I think more time to flesh out a program will help them out. Congrats Callahan.
All in all, great show. Gonna be fun to see how the 4 new inmates find themselves in Asylum. Although I must say, if AJP is going full heel, and therefore LA stays with her and turns heel, I think it's Pillars and TDB for faces on Asylum, unless Kash slipped back to being face. A very heel heavy show.

this said it all^^ damn it TJ  its not to discourage the match writers at all, but plz understand that things should be slightly realistic. yes this is fantasy but still, its not like DB called in an air strike to finish the match although lets face it, that would have been a great ending to the match eh? a big guy like TJ getting put down by 2 clotheslines is kinda sad and makes the character look weak regardless of the rp's. the job is to sell everybody as a match writer and this match was rough on everybody. no hard feeling brotha, make us proud the next match. im so glad TJ got that willy wonka reference something that has been planned out for months comes to a finish very soon, hopefully u guys r reading the house show and news threads. everything fits, even that S&C seg that people felt didnt make sense makes sense to them now i do find it a lil odd that AJP is going berserk on DB but i guess ill have to keep an eye on that to see wat happens. great job everybody! |

Sorry about the match guys. I'm a big fan of all 4 of those guys and wanted to step in. I tried to go creative at the end, b/c as a fan I was hoping to see this match again...but you are right, a lot of stuff didn't work. Sorry I dropped the ball on it. I sent a message to TJ personally apologizing, figured I'd do so on here, too. Last thing I want to do is make someone look weak or make this less fun for anyone. I'll really step it up in my match writing in the future.

Just remember guys-- move lists and writer notes exist for a reason. In another thread, some people mentioned that they don't refer to the personalized move lists, and I won't judge writers, but it really is a disservice to the RPers.

Yeah that match kind of ruined TJ's character there as he's a big guy that is almost impossible to take down. It's like you would rarely to never see a big guy being taken down by a smaller guy like can anyone imagine Stefan and TJ doing highflying moves for their match on next Asylum? At least you offered to help on writing matches which takes a lot of guts by the way to do. I am far from being confident on writing matches at the moment for Overdrive and Asylum. - AJP Snaps and boy was it great. This match is going to be interesting as it was quite a close contest the first time and I reckon that it will be ten times closer at Rasslemania. These characters have a lot in common as we already experienced and personally I am glad that this feud is going to continue between the two as it was really funny especially with the last Asylum show before the S&C rumble.
