::The scene opens to what appears to a corridor. An Asian man in his mid-thirties wearing a dark blue suit and red tie with a briefcase in hand walks down the corridor accompanied by a brown haired Caucasian police officer with a beard and receding hairline. The two men approach what seems to be the door of a holding cell. The officer unlocks and opens the door, but the man stops him before he can address the person inside.::
::Amy Zing is laying across the small bench inside the cell. She has her left arm over her eyes and her right leg bend upward. “The Hong Kong Sensation” is dressed in jeans and a t-shirt with her jacket under her head as a pillow.::
::The Asian man enters the room. Amy does not bother looking up as he clears his throat.::
Amy: “I am not talking to you, Lui.”
::The man, Liu Zhao, brother of “the Hong Kong Sesnation” and lawyer to his parents, who filed suit against the APW, adjusts his tie a bit.::
Liu: “Is that anyway to talk to the person getting you out of here with a fine?”
::Amy moves her arm, looking up towards the ceiling.::
Amy: “No, but it is the way to address the person who is making me a pariah in company I work for. Do you have any idea how much grief I am getting since you filed the lawsuit for mom and dad I begged you three not to? They are acting like this is all my fault.”
Liu: “Please. It seems to me that the APW hardly wants you there to begin with.”
::At this accusation, Amy sits up on the bench. She looks upset at her brother’s accusation.::
Amy: “That’s not true!”
Liu: “Well it seems to be. Young Mannie has not been punished for any actions against you. However, you have constantly been punished for fighting back. Meltdown’s management seems to support his actions. Face it sister, no one seems to want you there.”
Amy: “My fans do.”
Liu: “I am sure your fans will follow you anywhere you go.”
Amy: “I told mom and dad I would handle Young Mannie.”
Liu: “Well Sienna Harrison doesn’t seem to want to let you. I can only imagine Alexander Duvall will be as eager to let you take down Young.”
Amy: “I don’t care. I am going into Meltdown to kick his damn head off.”
Liu: “He will more than likely just have his hired thug take you out before the cage match even starts.”
Amy: “Probably. The man doesn’t seem able to stand on his own. But I really don’t care. I just want a piece of him. This week is my best chance to do that.”
Liu: “It’s not going to happen. Even if you win, which is unlikely, you’ll still have to defend the title later that night and I doubt Sienna Harrison will let you leave Meltdown with the title, or even employed.”
Amy: “You don’t think I can win?”
Liu: “It isn’t about that.”
Amy: “Then what is it about? You don’t think I can beat Young Mannie or Tuhoa Valo or Christian Kane?”
::At the last name, Liu looks a little confused.::
Liu: “You have to wrestle the guy from Leverage?”
Amy: “No, they just have the same name.”
Liu: “Ah okay.”
Amy: “Anyway, that’s not the point. The point is you have never believed I could be successful as a wrestler.”
Liu: “Look, you have a degree in accounting. I trust you to do my taxes, not win a title. Face it, you have yet to win a championship and no one in the APW seems to want you around. They have three people to replace you.”
::Amy gets up off the bench, glaring at her brother.::
Amy: “Just get out of here!”
Liu: “Fine. I got forms to fill out to get you out of here anyway."
::With that, Liu exit’s the room, leaving his sister behind. She sighs and sits up as the door is closed. She looks around the cell.::
::The scene shifts to one of the most famous, or rather, infamous, sites in San Francisco, a maximum security prison facility built on a small island off the city’s coast. It is “the rock”, Alcatraz State Penitentiary. Other than Sing Sing, it is the most well known and perhaps famous prison in United States history. A popular tourist destination, it has been the setting of a Michael Bay movie and a short lived J.J. Abrams television series.::
::Inside the cell blocks which were home to some of the worst criminals in US history, such as legendary mobster Al Capone, aka Scarface, Amy Zing, aka “the Hong Kong Sensation” sits. She is dressed in a pair of denim jeans, an APW t-shirt and her leather jacket. She sits on one of the beds with her legs crossed with her eyes closed, almost like she is meditating.::
“How did it come to this?”
::As she speaks, she sound angry.::
“I never had any intention of pursuing legal action against the APW or you Mannie. I wanted to settle things between us in the ring, like wrestlers. However, I did not factor in that you were a worthless, spineless, pathetic coward who needs protection because he is too weak to finish what he started and who would run to an authority figure or someone bigger than him when things got too tough.”
“I suppose you thought I would just take your abuse and go about my business. Did you think I would not fight back?”
“Ha!”
“Young Mannie, the self-proclaimed “greatest athlete in the APW period”, the man who hypes himself as “the Main Attraction” and the future of Meltdown, who will bring it to a greater level than ever before, needs protection from a woman half his size. Regardless of whatever you may accomplish Mannie, that one thing will stick with you for your entire career. The entire world knows that when it comes right down to it, I have bigger balls than you. The entire world knows that at the end of the day, despite your hype, no matter who you beat or what victory you gain, deep down you are a spineless, pathetic weak excuse of a man afraid to stand on your own.”
“In the end, that will be the legacy you leave behind. Not that of a great athlete or a champion, but of a cowardly bully who cannot handle his own business.”
“It is truly pathetic, but then again, so are you.”
::Amy closes her eyes. She inhales slowly, and exhales just as slowly. The anger leaves her voice.::
“This is sort of a fitting place.”
“Sometimes, I feel like I am in a cell in the APW. Every move I make, someone seems to criticize me about. I pose for Playboy a few years ago, and everyone calls me a cheap slut or a harlot. Every move I make against Young Mannie seems to trap me more and more, while he is allowed to be free.”
“Must be nice to act with no reprocussions knowing that management will always protect you because you are their chosen one.”
::She remains in that pose, like she is trying to keep calm and balanced.::
“I wonder Mannie, does your girlfriend know you and Sienna are sleeping together? Or was she the girlfriend you were talking about? Either way, I can only assume you two have a thing going as she seems to support your every action. I do hope the sex is at least good. Though I can‘t see how. She seems to be a control freak and you seem selfish, so I really can‘t imagine you two having that great a time. Not that I want to. Either that, or she is a huge bitch and just decided to hate me.”
“It may be the later as it seems she does not want me around. After all, Trevor Hyatt is using my “simply” phrase, Christian Kane has seemingly taken the “sensation” part and Hano Eiyu has the martial arts aspect covered. All she needs now is someone who cares more about the fans than the business and she’s rendered me useless.”
“Though personally, I think there is something there as she seems to be molding you into her personally selected chosen one. Sad really, a man who claims to be so great needing so much help to prove it.”
::Amy opens her eyes, yet remains in her meditative position.::
“I really don’t care for you Young Mannie. That much is obvious. But my dislike for you is matched only by my pity for you. I never really imagined how weak and pathetic you really were. For all the hype about how great you are, you are afraid to stand on your own. You have your Uncle Charlie to help guide you. You have Alec Quartermain to protect you. You have Sienna Harrison to keep you safe from any consequences your actions hold. I would not be surprised if she put Kaylyn James Evans up to attacking Logan Alexander to win you the title. The sad fact is Mannie, for all the hype, all your skill, you have never stood on your own. I always have. I fail or succeed on my own skill with only the support of my fans.”
::Amy opens her eyes and gets up. She walks to the bars of the cell. Slowly, she wraps her fingers around the cold, metal bars of the cell.::
“A cage is designed to keep dangerous people form getting out and hurting people. That is why prisons were built. No one ever escaped from The Rock. Oh sure, there are stories people did. It was the plot of that movie some years ago with Sean Connery and Nicholas Cage called The Rock. No, this place was a fortress, designed to do one thing and it did it very well.”
::She looks around the cell and then back towards the bars.::
“Unfortunately, the steel cage is not going to serve that same function. No, the steel cage will not protect you at Meltdown.”
“At Meltdown, you are going to be locked in a cell with a dangerous person. Alec Quartermain cannot save you. Sienna Harrison cannot protect you. This time Mannie, it is just you and I. But don’t you worry. I am not after the title. No Mannie, I just want to make you suffer and bleed.”
::There is no compassion is Amy Zing’s eyes. It is cold hatred.::
“It’s not about wining. It never has been about that for me Mannie. No. I have never had any intention of beating you because you are two well protected. All I want to do is to hurt you Mannie. That I can do. You can try to escape through the door or climb the cage or pin me to win. And you will in. Do you really think Sienna Harrison’s decree will stop me? No. I will take out both Uncle Charlie and Alec Quartermain if I have to in order to get to you.”
::Amy walks along the cell, her hand touching the bars as she walks.::
“There is no light at the end of the tunnel for me. There is no becoming North American Champion at Meltdown or defending in the main event. Deep down, I know Sienna Harrison will not allow it to happen. I have accepted this fate Mannie. But I told you, I was willing to burn for my revenge. I also told you that you would burn with me. At Meltdown, I fully intend to make that happen.”
“I would love to face either Tuhoa Valo or Christian Kane. My match against Valo was tainted by your attacking me earlier in the night. I can’ help feel Harrison had something to do with that as he was awarded a match with Logan Alexander a week later. In many ways, he seems like Duvall‘s choice for a chosen one. However, he didn‘t seem to get the job done. I have to admit to wanting to get into the ring with “the Finnish Phenom” one more time. That however, will not happen.”
::Amy stands at the open door of the cell, holding the bars.::
“Nor will a match with Christian Kane. The idea of a “sensation” versus a “sensation” seems interesting to me. From what I have seen he is very good and quite talented. However, as I said, this match will not happen.”
“No Mannie, I doubt I will leave Meltdown employed or as a champion. I know Harrison won’t let me. And as I said, should Uncle Charlie and Alec Quartermain get involved, I will take them out. No Mannie, after Meltdown, I doubt very much I will still be employed by the APW.”
“I have little doubt it will be you in the main event of Meltdown defending the title against either Kane or Valo. Even if I win, I am sure Harrison will find a way to keep the belt on her chosen one. Even if Valo or Kane win the title, Harrison will probably find a way to put it back on you.”
“I have accepted my fate Mannie. Inside the steel cage, I fully intend to get my pound of flesh off you. You see, I am not coming to win or to take the title. No, I am coming with one goal and only one goal. It is the very reason I asked for a steel cage match. It is the one thing you have constantly tried to avoid since you started this fight. It will just be me and you, all alone inside that cage.”
::Amy lets a smile cross her face. It is not a happy, joyous smile, but rather a cruel and sadistic smile, very out of character for her.::
“For the first time since this all started Mannie, you will have to do the one thing you have been seemingly terrified of doing since this all started and that is stand alone with me. Despite everything you have said about me or your ability, your every action and those of your protector Sienna Harrison beg to differ. It is time to actually be what you pretend to be; a man. The time has come for you to step up and prove you are at least a quarter of the athlete and wrestler you are . I honestly don‘t think you can do it, nor does anyone other than your entourage and Harrison.”
“When this all started Mannie, I told you an old quote that holds true. Do you remember it?”
::Amy chuckles a bit.::
“No, I doubt you would.”
“I told you, “when you go on a mission of revenge, dig two graves”. I have already dug them Mannie. I am more than ready to lay down in mine, but I am going to do the best I can to drag you with me.”
::Amy steps out of the cage. She leans against the bars, her hand still holding them.::
“Do you know what they say about stars Mannie? They say a star burns brightest right before it dies. This star has accepted she will die. It will all end at Meltdown. If this is the last time I do so in the APW, then I fully intend to show the entire APW one last time why I am simply Amy Zing. A star burns brightest before it dies and a phoenix dies in fire.”
“At Meltdown Mannie, inside that steel cage, I make what will more than likely be my last stand. I will stand against you, Sienna Harrison and Alexander Duvall. I will burn the brightest I have ever burned in my entire career. You, Mannie, will burn with me. Win, lose or draw, you will burn with me Mannie.”
“I am ready to risk everything in that cage. I am ready to burn Mannie. Are you?”
::With that, Amy walks off. The camera zooms in on the cold, empty cell.::
::Amy Zing is laying across the small bench inside the cell. She has her left arm over her eyes and her right leg bend upward. “The Hong Kong Sensation” is dressed in jeans and a t-shirt with her jacket under her head as a pillow.::
