‘Babysitting my tag partner’s children? Is that what I am now? Man, he better pay me.’ These words are running through Jake Titan’s head. Did the loss against a Meltdown Sticky Stars reduce Jake’s position? No, that couldn’t be right. Surely, that wasn’t how Leon thought of Jake.
Yes, Jake Titan has been floating around for several years doing nothing and if it wasn’t for Leon Roberts, The Original Gangsta of APW wouldn’t have found a second wind in him and certainly he wouldn’t be remembered.
Courtney, Anthony and Jake: The Triplets from Hell. Leon & Demonica’s oldest child, Liberty, certainly wasn’t any better. Jake arrived earlier in the evening after the “best” text he had ever received his entire life. At least from another man, the text simply said “Why aren’t you here watching my kids?”
“I nvr said I wood” was Jake’s return text.
“I’ll put this in a way you can understand: Git yo ass ova heya, Daisy.”
Shocked and angered, Jake texted and screamed at his phone “DAISY!? My name is Jake, you Canadian Son of a Bitch.”
‘I guess a work Visa isn’t hard to get.’ Jake thought as he got into his car and drove a few hours to Leon’s house. Friends do favors for friend’s right? Shouldn’t they ask for the favor instead of instantly assuming that they’ll do it? No way, this is Leon Roberts that Jake was thinking about. The guy might be a prick but he’s a loveable prick that as much as he’ll deny it, Leon liked his friends to a certain extent.
Jake Titan pulled up to Leon’s home in Ontario, just outside of Toronto. He let out a loud, burdened sigh as he saw a note left on the mail box. Reaching out, he ripped it off and walked up to the door to get some light.
“Me and Leon are out for the night. Thanks for watching our kids.
Huggies,
Monica”
Demonica Roberts, the wife of Leon Roberts. Or should it be Monica Roberts? Either way Jake’s job was simple, watch after Liberty and the triplet, they’re old enough to talk. How bad could this be? Jake thought to himself, “Easy monay.”
The moment he walked in, trouble was ready for him. During the time they left and Liberty was watching her siblings and Jake getting there, they had torn the house up. The water was running and the sink was clogged by Regular Show plush toys, fridge was wide open with a light flickering, the TV was on playing at maximum volume, flour and other spices were spilled all over the countertops and floor.
The triplets were three bats straight out of hell. Running around, screaming at the top of their lungs, covered in flour and paint. Most people would rip their hair out at this insanity but as Jake doesn’t have any, he could only pull scalp out… or try to at least. His eyes stretched open, lips pulled back, veins popping out on his neck, which all ended in Jakes yelling at the top of his lungs.
“SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!” Boomed Jakes voice, as he screamed above the noise. The triplets were so terrified of a large black man in their home; they did EXACTLY what he said.
Jake’s breathing was heavy for a few moments as he caught his breath again. “Look at this mess! Now I gotta clean this sh- mess up, thanks to you rug rats.”
“Are you here to molest us?” Anthony Roberts, one of the boys in Leon’s triplets spoke bluntly, but truthfully from the horror in his voice.
“What?!” Jake was very apprehensive. “No-NO! I’m not going to molest you. Where’s your older sister? I need to make sure all four your Hell raisers are here.” Jake rubbed his face, feeling a sharp stabbing pain.
“I’m right here, are you Jake Titan?” Liberty Roberts stood in a nearby hall way, dressed like Dante from the Devil May Cry series.
‘Now we’re playing dress up? A’ight.” Their babysitter though. “A little soon for Halloween isn’t it?”
“Says the man dressed like a Bulimic after dinner.” What a cute and snide remark from a little girl.
Jake looked down at himself. Normally he’d go to any job dressed properly. But this was work and as Jake Titan is for hire, why not be dressed in his work clothes? “Look, I don’t know how long-“
“Ten minutes.” Cutely, Liberty chimed in, interrupted Jake.
“Are f-“ He looked to see that the triplets were paying attention to him, still scared out of their little minds. “Are you serious? Your brothers and sister did this in ten minutes?”
Liberty pointed to a closed door. “You think this is bad, look at the bathroom.”
Not wasting any time, Jake ran over and opened the door. One hand began to shake violently as he gasps at what he looked at. His head looked over tub, sink, toilet, walls and ceiling. Quickly, Jake shut off the light and slammed the door. Sweat ran down his face as he looked at the other children.
“What did you do?!” he demanded to know.
“We missed.” They said sheepishly.
“I need to clean this up.” Jake grabbed a broom and got to work.
Several hours later, Demonic & Leon return home. “Are you sure Jake is fine? He hasn’t answered any of your texts or calls.”
“He’s FINE. The guy is lazy but he told me he can handle them just fine.” The door clicked loudly as Leon unlocks it.
Demonica gave him a untrusting glare. “You forced him to do this didn’t you?”
“Yup.” Said Leon.
The door opens to see that the Regular Show plush toys are strung out to dry but the kids are screaming at the top of their lungs terrified of Jake. He held Liberty and Anthony over his shoulders while Courtney and Jack were clinging to his legs. Meanwhile Jake’s face is covered in Legos; there are several band aids on his right hand and a light burn mark on his left wrist. To Leon, this looks all right and everything is fine but to his wife, Jake is obviously overwhelmed.
“HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!” He screamed at Leon and Demonica.
Taking his time, Leon took his children off Jake and Demonica led them to bed. From Jakes shaking body, wobbly legs and terrified eyes, he did all right watching after the children. “Thanks for watching my kids. Get home and get ready. We got a match against Kevin Dahlia and Evan McDonald.” He slapped Jakes arm.
“Why you sign me up for dis?” Jake turned and pushed Leon.
Leon pushed him back. “Because I knew you were unemployed and you couldn’t pay my old man rent.”
“No, I’m grateful for the job but that reminds me: Thanks for tappin’ out last week, bitch.” A smirk appeared on Jakes face remember how Leon tapped out.
“Oh I’m sorry your welfare checks got ruined by me getting you a job, it’s not like you could have handled Christian Kane and Tuhoa Valo on your own after all.” The fact that Jake failed to save Leon clearly got under his skin.
Jake Titan finally calmed down from the nightmare known as the Roberts’ Children. “Yea’… ‘bout that…”
“Ain’t t’ey another random tag?”
Leon nodded, as he took out his cell phone and pointed it at Jake. “Yeah, they’re our victims this week.”
“Yo’ the fuck you doin’ mayne?” Jake said, glaring at Leon for bringing out the cell phone. Leon chuckled at Jake's response
“Getting your thoughts on the two victims.” Leon responded. Jake sighed, feeling his blood boil up.
“As I was sayin'...We ain’t got the last two cats, we ain’t doin’ dat s*** again.” The two give each other a serious but weird look.
“We have one guy who hasn’t wrestled in three years, than he made a sudden return at Survive & Conquer and got destroyed up in seconds. Then Kev' got paired up with Evan McDonald, a rich pretty boy.” Leon pats on Jake's head, making him feel smaller than he actually is.
Jakes teeth are clearly grinding, trying to hold back his rage. “You seriously suck. So we got a new guy and a rich guy? Should be fun… STOP PATTING ON MY HEAD A**HOLE!” Jake exploded on Leon.
“Would you prefer if I was punching you? Chill the fuck out before I knock your bitch ass the Hell out.” Leon pulled a chair out and sat down.
Seeing Leon still has a spine, Jake pulled out a chair and sat down. “All right then. We have to beat Evan McDonald and Kevin Dahlia. Its coo’ they pulled out a win last week; just don’t tap out again. S*** better change, dawg.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m not apologizing to you. I don’t feel sorry because you’re too stupid to lend a hand.” Leon threw some papers in his partners face.
“The other dude is what, rich? Let me guess, he’s a rich boy that thinks everything should be handed to him because he has money and doesn’t know what to do with his life?” Jake blew his nose on some papers, crumpled it up and threw it on the floor. “Yo’, thanks I needed that, dawg.”
‘Disgusting, how can he be such a slob in my house?’ Leon thought. “You DO plan to clean that up?”
“I ain’t yo’ slave boy. Clean it yo’ damn self!” Titan kicked up his flour covered boots on the table. “Besides, when we’re done with Kevin and Evan, they can clean up the mess we leave them in. Those white sons of a bitch won’t remember what victory tastes like.” Jake said. Leon chuckled at that notion, liking where his partner's head was at.
“So listen yo. Kev' and Ev', you think that because you two got the win last week, makes you think we'll be easy. HA! You two can suck it for all I care. Because there is one thing that is clear. I'm not the most gung-ho person in the world, but there is no way we'll lose to a hack and a rich dolt.” Jake said. Leon chuckled at Jake's choice words of what he called them.
“Kev' I don't care how hard to trained after yo first pro match, you couldn't stay on TV means you're a damn loser. And Ev'... I simply don't like people like you. You think you're the best because you got the green. Think you can rule us all. HA! Try ruling us when I shove my boot straight up your pampered ass, because you're getting a huge ass reality check. Here's what the Killaz gonna do to ya. We're gonna beat yo asses up worse than... than ....” Jake said, trailing off. Leon sighed.
“Figures you'd lose your train of thought. We'll beat them worse than a couple of once cent whores.” Leon said, finishing off what Jake's line of thought was.
“Damn right. Here's to ya bitches!” Jake said, flipping the phone off with both middle fingers. With that, Leon stopped the recoding, and shut of the phone. The both of them smirked, certain they were ready for Meltdown.
End of Promo
